My brother and I toured this facilty recently and were impressed with what we saw. Four separate wings, each homey and with its own dining room, living room, and country kitchen, contain rooms for (eight?) residents each. There is also a large open front living room (not a "lobby" or reception area) leading to an activity area at the back of the 'house" and the backyard is an enclosed and locked rose garden.
The staff is trained in the unique needs of persons with demetia and even outside therapists are required to be knowledgeable and sensitive to those needs.
Residents are welcome to assist with housekeeping and other "household" activities as they are able and desire, and the facility was clean, cheery, and well-lit.
If you have a loved one with Alzheimer's or other demetia, this seems to be the next best thing to home.
