poorly managed

by heather b.

My husband and I participated in the CARS Program w/Momentum Mini-we live 4 hrs away from the dealership, drove through torrential rain and construction areas, making it there as quickly as possible per the request of the sales person. When we arrived we ended up having to wait for approximately 2 hours for them to get everything in order-this is all understandable the CARS program was huge business.unfortunately they had my husband sign one of the verification forms in the wrong place for the cars program almost 2 months later contacted us requesting this form be signed saying they would send this through fed ex w/return envelope.all they sent was the form-no accompanying certifications or attachments explaining what we were signing and we were treated as unreasonable when we requested the certifications and attachments be forwarded to us so my husband understood what he was signing.right-never sign anything blindly-especially w/car dealers.they also contacted my husbands corporate office where he has never worked out of when they had valid contact information for both of us-don't appreciate that.then when we finally were able to speak w/our sales rep she basically threatened us saying if we didn't sign the form we would be responsible for the $4500.never said we wouldn't sign-just wanted to know what we were signing.the paperowrk was supposed to be at my fax in the a.m and of course was not here-called to request the information again at which time the sales rep said they have to get their paperwork into the government under deadline and if we didn't get to it we would be responsible for the 4500.fax finally sent-a whole 2 pages wow that must have been tough.this was the dealerships responsibility to ensure all forms were signed appropriately at time of closing-plan to contact an attorney to be on the safe side-they have no integrity.

HORRIBLE Service Department!

by Jennifer F.

The WORST service I have ever experienced!!! Took my car in three times for the same problem (A/C not cooling) each time bill ran over $1,000 every time I returned (literally within a day - each time - having to miss work, etc.) they woud say it was something else that needed to be replaced, leaving me to wonder why they replaced the other parts and charged me. I ended up spending $3,800 total and my A/C still does not work!!! I feel as though I threw my money away - I complained and they did nothing - spoke w/ service manager and nothing. HORRIBLE SERVICE, I just can't say enough about how bad the experience was - do not take your BMW there for repair!

One pissed off client!!!

by l s.

I wish I would have read these comments before I dealt with these people too . Not only David but this no body who thinks she owns the BMW dealership named Deborah. What a joke! If the sales people would have been as rude as these two along with other clerks their I would have never purchased my car. A NIGHTMARE!!! If I could get away with slaping these two I would but Krama is better I only hope they never feel they way they have made us feel.WARNING TO ALL : DO NOT DEAL WITH MOMENTUM unless you want to be treated like a child

Be Careful

by t r.

I recently stopped at the BMW lot on Sunday night about 9 pm and browsed a few cars for only about 15 to 20 minutes and returned back to my car to find that my window was broken and my bags were stolen from the car. Security never came out. The police arrived and told me that there have been many reports and it seemed to be an inside job. Well I found out by talking to a friend a day later that the same thing happened to someone she knew. Do not leave any belongings in your car while at the BMW lot on SW freeway in Houston,TX because this is some type of scam going on at their lot. They will break the window and steal any bags or purses seen after you walk away from your car within minutes.

Momentum BMW striving for mediocrity

by Robert P.

This is one place that does not have there act together! I used there special system to set up a service appointment, came at the time they specifically had for me four days after my first call. They told me they were really backed up and that they would not be able to get to my car for a week! But I had to leave it there to keep it in line. This was for just a simple trim repair that was falling off, and putting new tabs on the sun roof cover which can take a couple of hours. A week later when I get the car back my hood is all scratched up from where they sat something on it. The area around sunroof has fingerprint smudges all over it. The trim around the door is still falling off. Even though the dirt was still on the hood that caused the scratches the service advisor would not take responsiblity for the poor work that was done. It was just pitiful. So now my car is at Advantage BMW to get the trim repaired. The funny thing is they are going to have my car back to me the same day!!!!!

PROS: Location was close to me, pretty dealership
CONS: Poor service, lack of care, not correcting the problem

Bottom of the Barrel service

by Maya G. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 6,346

I don't know where they get their service reps at this place, but however they get them it needs to stop. The service I received here was shockingly bad - mindblowingly awful - a nightmare of an experience that leaves me shaking my head for lack of where to start. Whatever you do, avoid a service rep named "DAVID". There may be other decent reps here, but any place that would hire someone like David is suspect to me. When there was a problem with my car (i.e. first they performed service that David said was specifically authorized under the warranty, then billed me for it. Then when they gave the car back to me I noticed - as I was pulling out onto the feeder road - that the airbag light was suddenly on. It took me 5-10 minutes to make the u-turns, come back, and they denied any responsibility in possibly causing the airbag light to be on), David was extremely defensive, petulant and fast-talking. It went dowhill from there, and unfortunately for me, my ordeal lasted several days and resulted in a closed door meeting with David and his manager, in which David actually PULLED SEVERAL $20 BILLS FROM HIS OWN WALLET and THREW THEM AT MY HUSBAND, THEN STORMED OUT OF THE ROOM and SLAMMED THE DOOR! All in front of his manager, who seemed as shocked as we were. Honestly, I've had better customer service at the Gap. They don't seem to care if you're a lowly 3-series owner (like me) or a more affluent 5-series owner (like my friend's Dad, who had so many problems with that dealer he turned in his '04 5-series for a Lexus). I could go on, but I really just want to save other people from trying this atrocious dealership. If you can go anywhere else - do!! If you don't HAVE to go to a dealer, try Key Auto Werks in the loop - they'll make you realize that BMW dealer service exists only to torment owners who have the misfortune of owning cars that are still under warranty.

PROS: none
CONS: "David"; awful customer service in general in the service dept.

Terrible "service department"

by dissapointedbymomentum

Momentum BMW has the worst "service" department that I have ever experienced. They had my 745 for over one month to change the oil and brakes under warranty.

I tried to discuss this with the General Manager of the dealership and he would not return my calls. Service starts at the top and this dealership has no commitment to service.

On top of this, I have been called for a survet on a 530 that I do not even own. Then they send me the receipt for the repair work with some other poor persons payment receipt.

These guys are clowns!!!!!!

Pros: I haven't seen one yet at Momentum

Cons: This dealership is terrible, top to bottom.
