Central Market

I love Central Market! I do my weekly grocery shopping here. The produce is amazingly fresh and tasty. I can buy meat from the case in amounts that are enough just for me and my wife without having to waste a ton. And the cheese section, oh the cheese! We make a cheese board once a week now and I still don't think we have used the same cheese twice.

Great place to go for produce from around the world. I have tried melons and other fruits that I have not seen at any other stores. I especially like the deli department. After work, I like to stop by and get dinner for that night.

This is wonderful place to buy excellent tasting fruit and there butcher block is one of the BEST! I love this store. I wish there was ons closer to me in Garland.

I love this store, you can find so many goodies from all over the world. There is a great wine selection, all sorts of food, beverages, and best of all is their wonderful customer service!

Central Market has a convenient location at the corner of Greenville Ave and Lovers Lane. Central Market has very fresh produce. Although the cost is a little higher than other grocery stores, it is worth it because the produce tastes better and lasts longer. Central Market also has a great selection of fresh meats and fish. The butcher staff are even able to give cooking recommendations and offer suggestions on what goes well with each particular meat/fish. Central Market has a huge selection of organic foods. They bake bread in the store and also have a sushi bar that prepares fresh sushi selections. For those in a hurry, there is a sandwich bar and other fresh lunch options. Central Market also has fresh cut flowers for sale, though they are a bit pricey. I love shopping for fresh food at this store and highly recommend.

Although slightly expensive, this large specialty foods market has a large variety of hard to find fresh produce and already made items. I was most impressed by their large meat counters. They have over 10 different varieties of sausages that change daily. They also store several different kinds of texas foods and wines. Central market is owned by HEB and still has the staples that normal grocery stores stock such as milk, eggs, and bread.

PROS: can leave with the entire nights meal, just heat and serve.
CONS: slightly expensive

While this is more of a specialty grocery store, I am willing to pay a little more to shop for more common items here. They have the best produce in Dallas, and the employees will cut into a piece of fruit if you want to sample something. I have never encountered a rude employee at this store. HEB is doing something right!

I grew up with HEB grocery stores, and when the chain introduced their "Central Market" branches, I was ecstatic. The selection of fresh produce, meats, and world food products is amazing. In the beer section, you can buy singles of just about any beer from around the world. The prices are great, and the atmospere makes you happy to be shopping.

You can get the neatest groceries, freshly cooked dinner, flowers, gelato, produce..anything! They carry a wide array of fresh herbs and grains. Candy and sweets by the pound. The produce is beautiful. Its an experience in itself by just coming in and looking around. Make sure you have a couple hours to spare!

Going to shop at Central Market is more than just shopping for groceries. It's kind of like going on an exploration......you end up discovering foods you've never heard of or seen before. You can find your everyday veggies, and then a few feet next to it you find some exotic fruit that looks like something that came out of a science fiction movie. I love the vast selection, including an olive bar, daily made pasta dishes, and pre-made dinners for two. On each return visit, you'll ALWAYS end up finding something new.

If you shop at Central Market you may never want to shop any where else for groceries. The idea of having a few choices on what type of squash you'd like to buy makes shopping more exciting! This store is about healthy eating, it's about gaining cooking knowledge, and exotic foods. Don't worry, you can buy everything on your grocery list too! At Central Market you can learn a thing or two about cooking and select from a variety of foods already prepared for you. It's the world's market in a central location.
