I have been a client of Roy's for the last 14 years. He always listens to what I am looking for and will always tell me the truth about how that will work for me with the shape of my face and coloring. I get more complements on my hair on a daily basis and I always tell them to go to Roy. Roy's salon is always clean and a beautiful asian theme. Go there you won't regret it.!!

I have been a client of Roy Ramos for well over 20 years. He is, by far, the most talented and excellent hair stylist I have ever seen. I had to move out of state 10 years ago, and still come to Houston to have Roy cut my hair. Not only is her personable, he seeks to find a style which will work well with your facial features, your lifestyle, and your work. Additionally, he is just such a nice person-you cannot leave his "chair" without feeling better than when you entered. If you have a chance to book an appointment with Roy Ramos, I would highly recommend it.

The professional staff and the Asian decor make Elektra unique. Roy Ramos is the owner and top stylist, in my opinion, but he has some other very popular stylists including Sasha from S. Africa with that wonderful accent; Robert, who attracts the young girls who like his style and women who have seen him on Great Day Houston. The assistants including lively receptionist Pauline, and the soothing, eager-to-please Samona who gives great neck massages and applies color ever so carefully. Roy keeps my color and style "right" for my skin and lifestyle. What I like to hear is, "Who does your hair?" This isn't a "full-service" salon or spa; Elektra does hair.

I moved to Houston couple weeks ago ans have been looking for a nice hairdresser. I'm very picky about choosing my hardresser. Roy did a great job .He's a very nice personable guy who listens to his customers. Had a very good experience with the place:)

Roy (owner) did my color and cut and did a fantastic job. He took the time to talk to me about what I wanted and more than delivered. My hair looks fantastic!This is a great salon and reasonably priced.

This studio gives a sense of zen. It is a very personable atmosphere and The owner/operator and his associates are always curteous and professional. My hair has alway looked great. I have been cut and colored by Roy Ramos and Up dos that are out of this world by Robert. You will not find a better place in Houston and I know because my standards are extremely high.

I have been to the expensive, exotic salons, had the styles and chosen to come to this out of the way, relaxing and professional salon for one reason...Roy! He is the owner and is a fabulous hairstylist. His cuts last for weeks, stay in shape and look great even when I style them! His calm and professional demeanor make what can be a stressful experience (hair coloring the first time, slight change in hairstyle, or complete new hairdo) a thoughtful transition discussion and decision.
If you are a new client and are considering a change, Roy actually interviews his clients to find out about their lifestyle, how they have changed their hair over the years, so that he can create a style that will be acheivable for you once you leave his chair and have to do it yourself.
Simona, his right hand is great at coloring, washing hair and head and neck massage.
The salon is clean, quite and relaxing...you really feel like you are on a retreat.
I don't make many personal references, but had to for Roy and his fine salon. You won't regret the spa-like environment, pampering and the affordable prices. My tweenage daughter comes too, and Roy somehow finds cuts for her that make parent AND child happy...now that takes strong interpersonal skills!
Elektra is a welcomed calm spot in today's hectic lifestyle.

I just got hair extensions for the first time here. It was a hair emergency and they really worked to fit me in. The atmosphere is very upbeat and friendly and the decor/furniture is comfortable and modern at the same time. Everyone there, employees and clients, seemed happy to be there. It was an enjoyable experience.
