I had a daughter in middle school that went through the change in leadership. The teachers that left in May of 2008 did not want to either step up to the changes that they were being asked to make or like the changes, there was only 2 classes that were worth anything and those 2 teachers are still there today. I was able to watch the new teachers in middle school and heads of middle and lower school last year and the changes made to the classes and made the decision to put my now 6th grader there for middle school and move my now 4th grader over.

It is a wonderful school with wonderful and dedicated teachers. The two poor reviews were given by people who are not even there. Visit Grace for yourself, and then you can decide.

I am in complete agreement with bw. I too am appalled that what used to be a wonderful, loving Christian school environment(for many, many years) has disappeared in less than a year. How could a church who began this school as a mission so many years ago, allow this to happen? How could a church hire someone to lead this school who would fire or drive away 38 dedicated, experienced, loving teachers? I did have a child in this school and I am so thankful it was before the current leadership was there.

As a former student who spent my entire life at Grace School, I am appalled by the posting of Habel M. When I was at Grace School it was filled with the most loving and caring teachers. The Bible curriculum in middle school walked me through the entire Bible, which I will never forget. I used to love to go back and visit my old teachers, but unfortunately there are very few left. If the leadership at the top does not change, the school will not survive. I always thought I would send my own children to this school, but that will never happen now. Who is in charge and why do they not see what is going on?

Super changes going on at Grace regarding curriculum and faculty. Second year for new head of school with support and cooperation from two new heads of lower and middle school have adopted stronger curriculum, shored up an out of control budget, added an instrumental music program with new band director, purchased instruments, hired a lower school science teacher, hired a christian education instructor & curriculum, lengthened teacher instruction time for core subjects through scheduling changes and most importantly hired a good number of enthusiastic, committed teachers. With multiple children at Grace I certainly wouldn't invest so much in a school unless I believed in the programming. You should check it out.

$12,300+/ year tuition, for what? Be sure to ask why 38 great, caring teachers have quit Grace School since January 2008 (five months ago). Too much money to risk.
