I applied with Aerotek to work at T.P.S. at the Catapiller plant in Seguin, Tx.. I was contacted by Brett Harris (on premise recruiter) and met for an interview. \nOn 1-13-12 I met again with Brett Harris at which point he hand wrote a date and time to report for a pre-employment physical and drug screen ( Wednesday 1-26-12). The 26 of January is THURSDAY. \n I became aware of this oversight when I received a phone message from Ramiro Barrientos (Aerotek rep) who wanted to confirm that I had made the said appointment.\nI immediately called the office of Brett Harris and got his voice mail. I left a detailed message and asked that he call me back to correct this oversight. I ended the message by saying , I would like to salvage this situation.\n I then called Victoria Reid at the San Antonio, Tx. Aerotek offices in hopes of resolving this issue. \n I explained to Victoria who I was and that there was a mistake on my appointment date.\nShe responded with, Oh no. I have the paperwork right here and it says you did go and take the physical and drug screen and passed. I stated my name again and again she told me again that I did take and pass both tests. After explaining once more that I did not and I was calling to get the date error corrected so I could, she said se would call the T.P.S. office and find out what is going on then call me back in 30 minutes. I thanked her and stated , I would like to salvage this situation.\n 45 minutes later after no word I again called Victoria Reid . She said she didnt know what went wrong but that she will call me back in 30 minutes and let me know. After another 45 minutes I called Victoria for the 3rd time. Her only answer was I dont know what to tell you. Brett Harris is out of town and out of cell range , we cant contact him so lets just wait till he gets back on Monday. (the day I was suppose to start)\n I was contacted the next day by Ramiro Barrientos asking again to confirm that I was ready to start on Monday. I explained the events and Victorias response. He stated the he was Brett Harriss partner and he will find out whats going on and get back with me.\n I never heard from him. \n I attempted to contact Brett Harris the Monday he was suppose to return and again only got his voicemail. I never heard from him.\n A month later I talked to Brett at a job fair in Seguin, Tx. where he apologized for the oversight and said he would set up another appointment and get back with me. He asked for my phone number to call me and again I never heard back from him and that was 2 weeks ago.\n When a simple mistake like a dating error cant be rectified by 3 Aerotek professionals then I have to question whether this is the right staffing company to be associated with. \n
