This place has the best pizza ever! It's pretty expensive, but worth it. The veges are super fresh and not overcooked, so still slightly crunchy. The crust is super thin and the cheese is perfect. Yum!

Great neighborhood spot. If you think their pizza is good... try the entres... as good if not better. Great atmosphere, good bar and restaurant to watch sports.
we go several times a month.

This is the best Italian food I have ever had! Their pizza is to die for, but I like their lasagna the best. Prices are great, service is great! All around good deal!

We love the new location (no longer BYOB, for those who remember the Inwood Village location) and usually sit in the bar. We've had the same waitress twice and she was very nice, perfectly attentive, and she recognized us from the first visit, which is always nice. A manager was unobtrusively trolling throughout the restaurant, and promptly sent someone to take care of anything that seemed to need attention, and pitched in with wait staff duties, even seating a group that had just been at the hostess stand for a few minutes. I enjoyed watching the hustle and bustle. I would not say it's good for romance, at least not on a Friday night, but if you are looking for a fun atmosphere with decent Italian food that won't cost $50 a person, then try Campisi's on Lovers Lane!

Pros: Friendly waitstaff, great egglpant parmesan

Cons: can be really loud on weekends. Sit in the bar and take it all in!

What a disappointment. I've been going to Campisi's since I was a child. I live out of the state, but when I visit Dallas, I always go back to Campisi's. Never again. I am not a difficult customer, nor is anyone that was in my party, but our waiter was the rudest waiter that I've ever experienced. He was so rude that we had to laugh about it. As rude as the waiter was, the bartender was even ruder, arrogant and just plain mean. We were there for my mother's birthday party and when we were singing Happy Birthday to my mom, the bartender was making faces and seemed completely annoyed by us. Then, we were saying our good-byes near the bar and the bartender loudly and rudely told us to move out of the way. We were in the way, so it was understandable that he would want us to clear a path, but there are nice ways of asking.

Now to the food. The crab claws were cold and bland, and not as plump as I'd remembered them. The eggplant parmessan had no flavor and was soggy. The spaghetti sauce had no flavor. The dinner salad wasn't as good as it used to be. The garlic bread was cold and not crisp. The only good things that I sampled were the artichoke hearts and tiramisu. Other members of our party said they enjoyed their pizza (but I think they were being nice).

As busy as Campisi's is, I'm sure they could care less, but I will never be back. Good luck to all of you who will continue to eat there. After reading other reviews, it seems the service and the food are inconsistent. I sure miss the old days of Campisi's.

Pros: Good tiramisu

Cons: Everything else was terrible

So, if you are going out with some friends and want to keep the tab down while still having a glass of wine with your italian.. head to Campisi's. Plus, with Yoyo's (an overpriced wine store next door), you don't have to remember a thing except your visa card.

Pros: Food is good, and Campisi's is a legend in Dallas. BYOW.

Cons: It is a little greasy and salty for my tastes.. especially the salads.

The food at this location is just fine, but it's not quite as good as the Mockingbird location.

Be open-minded if you order something for delivery: I never know what I'm going to get!

PROS: Decent food
CONS: It's not the original "Egyptian"
