This is an excellent hair salon. All the hairdressers are very skilled and friendly! They all work very well together. I go to Audrey Page and really like her and always pleased with my hair. I highly recommend this salon!!

In particular I was very impressed with Daniel Villareal, my stylist. They told me that he specialized in short hair cuts and I was excited that I was able to get in to see him that day. He was waiting for me when I came out of the restroom and greeted me warmly. We first talked about how I wanted to do the " Halle Berry " cut and the front office so kindly printed up an image for me of the " Halle Berry " hair cut I was wanting, definitely going above and beyond what I would expect from a salon. They were able to find the one I was wanting (after I searched magazines earlier in the day, unable to find a picture of Halle .) Daniel understood the haircut I wanted and modeled the cut off of the picture. He gave a really good shampoo and head massage. It was great. He was very enjoyable to talk to and told me about his passion for hair styling. He was thorough and detail-oriented with my haircut. I've received many compliments since he cut my hair. And have since been passing out DANIEL VILLAREAL'S Jose Luis business cards. My experience at Jose Luis salon has been one of the best customer experiences I've ever had. I will be going back to DANIEL because of the quality of his work and also his level of professionalism.

The first time ABEL cut and colored my hair I was in shock my hair could look that fabulous. That was seven years ago and he has been cutting and coloring my hair ever since! ABEL creates a hairstyle for me that looks and feels great, whether I have short or long hair. He is very talented with a pair of scissors and amazing with blondes! I can truly say I'm visiting a friend whenever I have an appointment.

You walk in the door and they know your name; you call for an appointment and they accomodate you. My favorite people...Abel Salazar. A master at cutting you hair and a master for coloring. Another favorite - Bill. You can't go wrong. I've been following Abel around for years and when he found his home at Jose Luis, I found my home with a great group of folks.

Theresa, girl wonder, has cut, colored and styled my hair and does an amazing job. I am 57 years old and she gives me such an excellent style. The folks I work with always compliment me after coming back from Austin. I always just tell her to cut and color and I have always been very happy. Since I live in Fort Worth I am unable to come and see Theresa as often as I would like, however I am able to manage my hair until I get down to visit my kids in Austin and book with Theresa. Go see her, you'll love her! I do!!!

If you've never tried balayage( worth every penny because it's low maintenance)...you have to go to Lorie! Look natural but hip and trendy like the stars. She listens to what you want, she suggests what you need. Not to mention cut is phenomenal...I've never had healthier looking hair and so many comlements! Ample time between appts...you don't feel like you're being cattled in and out too ;) You won't be dissapointed!

I live in Atlanta, TX and travel to Austin 3 or 4 times a year on business. I make it a point to stop at Jose Luis Salon whenever I am in Austin for some "me time" and pampering. Whether I get my hair styled, a facial or a tan I am NEVER disappointed. I am greeted as soon as I enter their beautiful waiting area, offered refreshment and my stylist is notified immediately that I am waiting. Jose, Bill, Bri and all of the members of their staff give their best to each and every client. If you are ever in Austin, please stop here for some top notch pampering -- I promise you will enjoy it.

This place is hands down the best salon I've been too! The interior is beautiful and everything is top of the line. The stylist was very nice and accommodating and I was extremely please with the results! Plus the employees at the front were very nice while I waited and even helped me pick out some great jewelry that I love! I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to experience a first class salon.

Receptionists are rude and seem a little off, never able to get it together. too many experiences of making appointments and no stylist to do my hair when arriving.. how does that happen?? The salon looks pretty but never judge a book by its cover right?? worst haircut i've ever recieved... WOULD NEVER SUGGEST THIS SALON. keep looking folks!

Jose Luis Salon is so different from other salons. It is a different breed. The people that work there are collaborative and selfless. Everyone pitches in to serve the clients regardless of whose client the person is. The talent is amazing, creative, knowledgeable, warm, welcoming. They physical facility is not only gorgeous, it is comfortable and clean beyond reproach. Jose is my primary professional (for over 20 years!) but I have had the pleasure have my hair tended to by many of the other professionals! AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ABOUT LINDA HINKLEY! She is the BEST aesthetitician on the planet with technical expertise as well as a personal touch she tailors to each of her client's needs. Truly, this salon is amazing.

I'm a college student from Dallas and needed to find a hairdresser here in Austin. A couple of my friends recommended Jose Luis to me and I love it! I always go to Franchiska who is so awesome because she listens to what I want and actually does it! I have long hair and I like to keep it long and hairdressers that I've had in the past would always cut it shorter than I wanted so it's nice to not have to worry about it! Franchiska also gives amazing head massages! Everytime it's time for me to get a hair cut I get so excited about that! I definitely recommend Franchiska - she is very skilled and personable.

Was looking for a new stylist and was very nervous. I color my hair red and it seems not every stylist is good with red heads. I first had a consult with Alisha Jurkevicz...was very happy with how it went and then proceeded to schedule an app with her. She is very professional, and knows what she's doing. I LOVED my hair and will contiue to see her. Go check her out! The salon is fabulous as well and was very pleased with the whole experience:D

First off I am a guy and this place is awesome, if you are guy and go to a chop shop to get your hair cut you are missing out. this place is amazing. I started going here when Audrey (my stylist) moved to this salon, she had been doing my hair for years and had worked at some good places but this is by far the best. when you walk in you are greeted by the most friendly personal staff in austin, by your second trip you will feel like you are family. The place has just been remodeled and is amazing, its modern yet calm and relaxing. All of the stylist here are top notch, the owners are great guys and really want nothing but the best, the staff is always learning new ways to cut and everyone is so knowledgeable on how to get the perfect cut for you. This is the best place in austin!

Jessica is a wonderful hair stylist. I have really thick hard to work with hair and she is the only person I trust with the job. She is a perfectionist and spends the time to make sure she does a good job. The color she does is wonderful! I have never had a bad haircut from her EVER! I went to her because I had friends who had great hair cuts from her and I have sent several other friends and family. They are all repeat customers. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Theresa is by far one of the best hair stylists I have ever seen. Over the past couple of years I have let her update my hair by adding the side swooped bangs and also let her cut over 12 inches off my hair for a sleek, modern short a-line 'bob'. I was ecstatic with the outcome. She also then continued to update the cut so it grew out wonderfully without any awkward hair while I grow it back to long hair. She is the reason I won't let anyone else touch my hair. I live in Dallas and her expertise and style make the drive worth it to Austin. Check out Theresa!

When I go to Jose Luis I go to Jessica Murphey Chapman for my stylist! She is wonderful! I recently cut 8 inches off of my hair and she made me feel very comfortable with everything, and cut it exactly how I wanted her to! I love Jessica so much that I recommended her to my mom who has pretty short hair. My mom is very particular about her and freaks out if it doesn't come out okay. Jessica gave my mom my absolute favorite cut i have seen on my mom ever! It look so good- its leg a Meg Ryan hair cut. Jessica is really sweet and makes sure you are perfectly comfortable with everything. She does great coloring and makes sure that what you want comes out and it looks great! I go to Jessica for every haircut, i go to school out of state now and i fly home to austin whenever i need my hair done just to go to Jessica! She is great and I know you will love your hair if she does it!

I have been going to Jose Luis on W. 6thfor a couple years now and even if I moved cities I still think I would make the travel back here to get my hair done. Jessica Murphy cuts and colors my hair and not only is she the best but she makes the getting it done part very enjoyable and relaxing with her outgoing personality and down to earth spirit. If you have recently moved here or are looking for a new stylist definitely try her and the salon out, you will no doubt be happy!

The first time I went to Jose Luis it was in an effort to fix a haircut gone wrong from a previous stylist in my hometown. I met with Jessica (Murphey) Chapman praying that there was some hope for the future of my hair. She was amazing...I wouldn't go anywhere else. Not only is Jessica great but the staff is fun, helpful and courteous. The salon itself provides a one of a kind atmosphere that always helps me relax and feel completely comfortable. I would highly recommend Jose Luis and Jessica Chapman to my family, friends and co-workers.

I started going to Jessica Murphy Chapman over 2 years ago. From the moment we met at the salon, I felt extremely comfortable with her. Not only does she do an amazing job styling and coloring hair, she is very easy to talk and very friendly. The salon is in a great location and easy to get to on West 6th Street. I have never left the salon unhappy. Many of my friends go to Jessica -- and they all have great hair (color and style!) You definitely get what you pay for at Jose Luis and it is truly worth it!

I've been going to Jose Luis for years and have to say that it is the best salon in Austin! My favorite hair dresser is Jessica Chapman. She always listens to what you want and does the job perfectly. She is great at cut and coloring!

I've been to quite a few top-notch salons in Austin, and Jessica Chapman at Jose Luis is by far the best stylist I've been to. I first started going to Jessica right before a big job interview in which I really needed to look very professional and put together (I got the job), and I have been going there ever since. It's worth the money. She really takes the time to listen to what you want and then does a great, careful job of making it look great. I am not exactly 'gifted' when it comes to styling my own hair; Jessica's cuts make it easy for me to look good. She does good work with both men and women -- my boyfriend, a particularly persnickity guy when it comes to hair, swears by her cuts.

I saw Neda Eftekar for a cut and style. Neda is an excellent and experinced hair dresser. I received one of the best haircuts I've had in a long time. The style she gave me was supper cute. I highly recommend you to go see Neda.

a little expensive (140 for partial highlights, cut, and blowdry) but worth it! I love my haircut (one of the best I've ever gotten) and the atmosphere was great. The highlights are a little lighter than I wanted but I'm getting used to them and my friends tell me they look natural and really good.

I've been going to Jose Luis Salon since I first moved to Austin in the late 90's and their service and professionalism is what keeps me coming back. Linda, the aesthetician, gives one of the best facials in Austin and does by far the best job at waxing--virtually painless. Many of the stylists I've gone to have come and gone but I can always find someone new on staff who consistently does a great job at both cut and color. The only downside is that tips can't be put on credt cards, which is a major hassel. Other than that the new interiors are beautiful and the staff is first rate.

Enjoyed my first visit to Jose Luis. Very swanky looking with very personal service. Attentive stylists--Rick did my color, and Blaine did my cut, both were very skilled, efficient, friendly and funny. Big screen TV's, beverages while you're there, beautiful flower arrangements...all nice touches, makes it feel like a fancy day at the spa. I LOVED that they have clean white T-shirts for you to wear while you have your service done, so your color / cut doesn't get all over your 'civvies'--great touch!

The Salon is very clean, and everyone is busy--no bored looking stylists sitting in their chairs styling their own hair, putting on makeup, talking on cell phones, and no blaring, overly trendy music which is so typical of so many salons. Jose Luis is run like a professional salon should be run.

One downside--when I checked out, I was not informed (nor do they have signs) that tips cannot be included on credit card payments--it's cash or check only. I asked to go across the street to the ATM to get cash for my stylist and was only met with "sorry, we're closing...you can get it next time." Poor customer service, and does a great disservice to their awesome stylists who are working hard. I had to make a special trip back to make sure my stylist got a tip. I will return, though...it was a great experience.

If you visit this salon for hair coloring service and are not satisfied with your hair color, they will make you pay to get it fixed each time. They do not care about making the customer satisfied. I am speaking from experience!!!

I absolutely LOVE this salon. Abby Broussard turns my crazy, curly, cow licked hair into a frizz free work of art.
Every time I go in she gives me new ideas to keep my hair up to date and new products to try( and they always work). This is the perfect place for modern hair that is classy. She never takes it over board and always makes sure I'm 100 percent satisfied before I walk out the door. I send my sister and all of my friends to Abby! Guys and girls alike could use the great conversation, and relaxing atmosphere that this salon has to offer.
I give it a ten!

I've searched Austin up and down for a reliable, affordable, and fun esthetician. Linda is AMAZING. She poured me a glass of wine for my first leg wax! It's very important to me to get services from people who exude style, confidence, and flair without being over-the-top or stuffy. Abby is a stellar example. I definitely recommend her for anyone who wants a great conversationalist with their fresh look. I've never met a more personable and stylish stylist. Kudos to the receptionists and other staff members who always seem appreciative and happy when I go in, even though we've never been introduced. Not to mention their great products, jewelry and make-up!

This salon is the best!! I've seen several people there, and haven't regretted a moment. It is so proffesional, yet trendy enough to get a great cut that doesn't look dated. I love the fact that the owners are in salon and take pride in all of their employees. The prices are surprisingly low for the awesome results I've come out with! I would send anyone from my mom to hip college students who don't want to break the bank. Go now!! you won't regret it.

I've been coming to this salon for two years and I love the people here! Jessica M is awesome and has been doing my hair since. She even did my wedding party's hair a year and a half ago when I got married. I also love the fact that they use Kerastase products in this salon. I and about 4 other coworkers come here - it's a shame that I'm moving next year because I really love this place!

I absolutely love everything about the Jose Luis Salon from the location to the stylists and their retail. I've been a client for a over a year and have yet to be disappointed. The service is great and they can do anything from classic to trendy styles. Rob always offers a complimentary make-up touch up so you leave feeling completely made over. I love it there.

I have recently moved to Austin and I was really upset about finding a new hairstylist. I went to a few other salons in town and I had no luck at all!! Then a friend recommended Jessica Murphey at Jose Luis Salon...THANK GOODNESS! She is the best. She's fun and out-going...and best of all she does GREAT hair. Not only was she great but the whole staff there was awesome. I can't say enough great things about them! Everyone needs to try Jose's out. Jessica especially! P.S. I hear their facials are to die for!
