Hadn't been there in years, but due to publicity about the holiday decorations took friends for a birthday dinner. Dinner wasn't bad. However, at the end of the meal discovered there was a cockroach in our water. The manager, Ruben, was beyond awful in handling it. I now wish we had made a big stink about it at the time. Ruben magnamously took off 1 $3.00 margarita - and didn't even apologize. Suffice it to say, none of us will ever return. There's too many great Tex Mex places around.

I have been eating at Campo Verde for about 10 years now & I always get the same thing (cheese enchiladas.....mmmmm....yummy) Service has always been great...especially Kim. I also always say they must put crack in that fabulous queso/cheese sauce. That's truly the entire reason I go there. I have never found anything similar anywhere else. As the other reviewers said the atmosphere is quite festive year round & it's fun to take time to look at all the knick knacks on display. Keep up the good work Campo Verde.

Campo Verde is a great Mexican restaurant that we visit when we have out of twon guests! The food is wonderful and the salsa that they make is excellent! They have a great wait staff and the crazy decor is something to be seen. I would recommend you try a sangria swirl margarita! We rarley ever wait for a table because the place is so big that it seats just about everyone who walks through the door!

Next to Joe T's in Fort Worth this is my favorite place to go for Mexican food. Love the food and the chips and the salsa. You have to go around Christmas and see their lights. My kids always have loved the train and they will put cherries in your soda! We go here all the time. It's close to home and the food, service and prices are great! Look in the paper and you can always find a coupon.

We love Campo Verde! The lights, the atmosphere and the food. One of the best Mexican places around. Large portions and very friendly staff. Try the chicken fajitas, great! And the guacamole tostada, ummmmm

I find the food here pretty unremarkable. The service is good, but I didn't notice anything stand-out about the food. The salsa is tasty and the cheese enchiladas are pretty good.

When we don't have time to travel to the mexican place we love best, we go to Campo Verde! The hot sauce is great and I love how they give you free queso too! Good food at a great value! This is also a great place to take young children. They have a busy atmosphere with lots of things to keep a child occupied. My daughter loves the overhead mini train that circles the entire dining area!

This Arlington landmark has been around for years, and from the looks of the inside, they forgot to take down their holiday decorations, for the past 20 years!

You'll find a train scooting around the tracks overhead, flashing holiday decorations and tons of kitschy stuff to keep your whole party busy!

Chips, queso and salsa come with every meal for free, and the lunch specials are a bargain, most under $10.

Fajitas for one are huge, and the rest of the menu provides the typical Mexican food offerings, with the noted exceptions of ostrich, buffalo and rattlesnake, if that's your cup of tea!

Service is sometimes harried and weekends are packed so go early or go way late!

PROS: Atmosphere, lunch prices
CONS: Very crowded in weekends, sometimes rushed servers!

Really a Monument in Arlington, I have eaten at this restaurant over the past 20 years and LOVE IT! They have the most unique atmosphere I have ever seen. Year-Round the inside is decorated with thousands of little Christmas lights and neon signs. From Nov-Feb thousands of more lights are added inside and out for the Holidays...This place really Lights Up!

The food is inexpensive and they have about 15 different Combination Platters to chose from. The enchiladas are really good, especially the cheese which are covered in a queso sauce (yummy!) If you are feeling adventurous this is one of the only places in Arlington that you can dine on something a little more exotic such as Rattlesnake, Ostrich, Elk or even Buffalo! There is an American Menu as well that serves up the old Hamburger of Chicken Strips if need be.

So, with a little something for everone, great flavor, great prices, and the most "Dazzling" Atmosphere around....I would definitely recommend Campos and tell everyone to give it a Try!!

PROS: Outrageous Decor, Great Prices, Yummy Food!
CONS: Weekend nights can be Crowded and Noisy!!

We have simple tastes-love enchiladas. Even here they're #1 on the menu. Campo's are served with a disgusting non-dairy "cheese" sauce instead of chili sauce like most restaurants. What they serve is usually called a cheese taco. The rice and beans are not edible, and the tortilla soup's best quality was that it came in a thimble. The waitress was not concerned that only a few bites were eaten from each plate. I've never eaten Alpo but give the choice of the two, - well, I'll just dine somewhere else.
