We have been taking our cars to Alex for many years, and his service is always first-rate. He can fix about anything in a car, foreign or domestic, and, on the rare occasion that he can't, he'll steer you to the best place. Alex is reliable, honest, and really cares about his customers--this must be why they are so loyal.
Alex Benites is the owner of Allstate Brake and Automotive and I heard of him from word of mouth from some other South Austin friends. As a woman it can be intimidating to go to a mechanic by yourself if you don't know much about cars, and I've had the experience too many times of mechnanics not giving you the whole truth or not doing a decent job. Alex must be the best kept secret in town, because he does such quality work, seems to even enjoy educating you about what's wrong and how he'll fix it, and his prices are great. If you only have the money for a part of the job, he'll work with you. If you need it done fast, he'll work with you. If you need an estimate, he'll give his best professional judgement. He's a family man and just a caring individual all around. We've been taking our cars to him for 7 years now and recommend him to anyone who needs a great and honest mechanic. You won't be sorry if you take your vehicle to Alex for any problem!
