I've visited this location twice and we (party of 3) enjoyed ourselves. There is a trendy and inviting setting and the waitstaff was attentive. The wine selections are assorted by taste which helps those who may not be familiar with it.

Yesterday I had a disgusting DISCRIMINATION experience in your restaurant located in Highland Village Center 4094 Westheimer Road Houston, TX 77027, it is really disappointed that in a restaurant like P.F. Chang's China Bistro things like this happen, with reservation number, the hostess in the front door make me wait for more that 45 min without any explanations, I saw many tables available and I saw how white people and African American was serving genteelly and immediately, and without reservation, I asking many times to those girls in the front door what was happening and they never answer me and look at me and speak to me like a homeless or a delinquent, after 45 minutes me and my dinner mates was sitting down in a rough and discourteous monde, they basically thought the menus over the table as well as the food, I just stay at this place because Is one of my favorites restaurants and because was my brothers birthday and we don??t have any place to go at that time, I was thinking in speak with my lawyer to contact some restaurant representative to submit a formally claim, I am project manager at KBR Engineering, A professional person and proud to be an Immigrant, is disgusting that this incidents happens in this kind of place, just because I have accent or look different, I always dress properly, and never in my life and in any place around the work have received a treatment like that, I hope you take the proper measuring to fix that situation

So many friends told us how great this place was, so we went yesterday. There is always a 30-45min wait. Tables are VERY small, the menu offers an American version of common Asian dishes. I ordered the VIP duck: poultry was raw (a big NO), and came with tortilla shells?? (instead of the common flatbread). My wife got THE salmon plate, completely unremarkable. Suposedly these were among their bests.

Bottomline: If you want to eat good Chinese, go around your good old neighborhood's. PF Chang is overrated.

i am a big fan of the PF Changs chain, but seroiusly, this location is managed by very uncapable people. Last time i went there (sunday, late luch) I saw people waiting to gt a seat although half of the restaurant was empty. When we got our table, nobody came to take our order for about 15 minutes, and then we had three different waiters, who of course asked us the same questions over and over again.
One of the cool things about this restaurants is the great service and, for example, how they mix your sauces at the table. Well not this time: our seemingly unexperienced waiter (one of the three) brought us the famous sauces only after i asked a couple of times, and then just dropped them on the table without even asking if i wanted them mixed.

It is a shame for the PF Chang's chain, but i'll never go back to this location, and I'll make sure to warn my frinds about the subprime service they will get at this location,

One of my favorite restaurants in Houston! I always get the sweet and sour chicken and my boyfriend gets chang's spice chicken. Both are excellent. Everything is good here, right down to the rice (I prefer brown) and the "special sauce" made at your table. For dessert, the banana spring rolls and the flourless chocolate dome are TO DIE FOR. 2 drinks, 2 entrees, & 1 dessert totals around $38 and it is well worth it. I've NEVER had poor service OR food here.

This location can be a little loud for a date, however is great just for a nice group dinner. BE SURE TO MAKE RESERVATIONS. Without reservations, you wait can easily be up to an hour. And I enjoy their lettuce wraps and DanDan noodles.

The food and atmosphere at this restaurant are definitely worth the wait. They now offer reservations, so you don't have to wait if you plan in advance. Also, there are great places to shop within steps if you do have to wait. The food is always fresh, and there are so many options to choose from. We love going there and never have any complaints.

i just recently ate at p.f. changs and i absolutely loved it. we had the chicken lettuce wraps and mongolian beef. i usually dont like chinese style beef, but this was the best chinese food i have ever eaten hands down. the atmosphere is good, kinda loud, but then again...you cant hear any screaming children or loud obnoxious diners. the best part about that is that they cant hear you and it doesnt have to be a silent meal. the service was excellent. everything about it was wonderful.

I have eaten here many times and most recently for someone's birthday lunch which they did put us in the back which was less congested and noisy but it was difficult to talk at the long table for eight. The waiter was very good and attentive and all in all it was a good lunch.

I have had mixed experiences here. Generally it's crowded and the hostesses are rude to my party. You should also go there expecting to wait anywhere between 20-60 min for your table! I've had good service and bad at the table, ranging from a standoffish waitress who barely made herself available, to a passing by waiter who noticed me looking at a stain on my shirt and came by with a glass of club soda and a napkin! As for the food, it has a clean appearance, and is very fresh and hot. Its also pretty salty, and leaves me feeling dessicated for the remainder of the day. Generally, the dishes are pretty tasty. However, you can expect to pay a bit more than you would at the average Chinese restaurant. I think what you're paying for is the atmosphere (well designed and nicely decorated, but busy) and the presentation (the food looks and tastes more appetizing than the usual Chinese restaurant food, but its not traditional, hearty, or comforting like many other places). Overall, go there if you like. It's not the only flashy bistro restaurant in town, though, and not necessarily the best.

If you want the worst Chinese food in Houston for the highest price, this place is for you. Don't go to this place if you are hungry either, the entrees should be advertized as children meals or snacks. The spices are nothing to get excited about either. And if you expect this place to honor a reservation for a party of 20, forget it. Office mates and myself arrive 5 minutes prior to 12 noon only to find out the place let another party take our table. So our party of 20 waits for 35 minutes. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else. P.F Chiang's is a rip-off with below average meals from somewhere around $13 - 19. The extremely small portions wouldn't be a bother if the food was even close to edible.

Does it really matter if it's not authentic as long as the foods good; your buying a meal not a painting or an antique. The food is more fusion than Chinese and sometimes the service is not great. But the quality of the food is great, highlights on the menu include Mongolian Beef and the Salt & Pepper Prawns. There is also a good bar while you wait to get a seat, which can sometimes be quite a while.

After we were seated we waited, and waited and waited for a waiter. Finally, after 20 minutes of waiting we had to go find a waiter on our own to take our order. Once we had our food the waiter once again vanished. The meal was quite good however.

First time ever to eat there and it was fabulous! We got there at 7 pm on a Saturday night & they said it would be 1-1 1/2 hr wait - but we waited only 40 minutes. We ordered "Zombie's" at the bar, very attentive bartenders. Food is excellent, the staff was delightful and the atomosphere was terrific. Lots of friendly people and no one seemed to mind the wait - the food is worth it!

PROS: The "Captain's Table" between the bar and kitchen
CONS: Long waiting time on a Saturday night - but that is anywhere!

This is not a Chinese restaurant. They serve food that's mixed of Chinese, American and Franch. I think it is a hip, fancy restaurant, a noisy place, but not Chinese. If it is categorized as a fusion restaurant, I think it is an above average place to go. If you think you have enjoyed some good Chinese food there, you DO NOT know Chinese. Try some places near Bellaire Blvd and Beltway 8. That's where the China Town is.

I was excited to finally get into this place and was very sorry. Though the decor is nice the food was fair at best. The chicken packages were good but the duck salad was dry and had a strange twang to it that was very unpleasant. If you want to be 'seen' come here. If you want really good chinese food go to Kim Son or anywhere in the Hong Kong Mall area. Also, the waiter treated us like it was our privilege to be served by him! Expensive and pretentious. I won't be going back!

This place is way overrated. I was dining at a P.F Chang's in Dallas and the food was not really Chinese food. Needlesstosay I was very disappointed in the quality and lack of flavor. This place is made for the typical American that has never had real Chinese food and therefore thinks that is must be wonderful. I can understand the Chinese-American fusion of cuisine and I can say that it is nowhere to be found. The ambience was average and is probably the only thing this place has going for it along with its hype. I wouldn't waste my money or time waiting for a table at this establishment again. Put it this way, the food at a local Chinese buffet is better than what they serve up. It was very disappointing.

The first thing you notice when arriving is the great trendy decor that fills the resturant. Seating is relatively quick, especially on week nights. The food is wonderful; I especially suggest that you try the Mongolian Beef.

The only draw-backs are that they place is pretty noisy and packed. You may have to wait to get your waiter's attention after you've been served your meal, as they are quite busy. It took quite a bit of effort to pay for dinner and get my check in return.

Overall, I highly recommend P.F. Chang's as a great place to go for two, four, or more!

    Pros: Trendy,, Great Food,, Atmosphere

    Cons: Noisy, Sporadic Service

    .

The only thing good here in my opinion are the lettuce wraps.

The manager asked if we wanted to set at bar after we had waited a short time. This was a very nice experince as the server was a blast and mixed a mean sauce for the great lettuce wraps.

Excellent service! The atmosphere was very nice. All the right pompous people were there. Who could ask for more?
Oh, but wait. The food was horrible! I had the Beef with Orange flavor. It tasted more like meat strips in ketchup. I've heard of this place for a few years now. Honestly, I have no idea why.

Chang's serves great food. It's not necessarily "chinese food," it's more like nouve chinese or chinese lite. But still it's great food. Light and fresh, not heavy and sauce staurated. If you want authentic chinese go to china town on Bellaire Blvd., there you'll get the real stuff. At Chang's you get a wonderful americanize version of chinese that fits into the "healther" of today's diets. Keep up the good work.

I agree with the other reviewer who noted that P.F. Chang's is directed mostly towards the Western palate. It may be well prepared but is certainly not what an Asian person would consider good Chinese food (I've never seen lettuce wraps in China).

The food is great, the atmosphere is fun. The main problem is that you have to be prepared for at least and hour wait.

This is a great restaurant not only to stand around and have a few drinks -there's always a good crowd, but the food is well presented and very tasty. Some might say the food is not really Chinese, I would call it Noveau Chinese, but in whichever case it's excellent!!

Don't be fooled by the dark lighting and catchy name. I can't believe that Houston thinks P.F. Chang's is the best Chinese restaurant in town. C'mon, we are better than that Houston!! The food is marginal at best. The spicy dishes are bland and the fried dishes taste burnt. It's unfortunatee that people go nuts over their lettuce wraps. because they are second rate compared to ones at other restaurants. It is so annoying when the waitstaff does that whole thing where they mix your sauces at your table when you sit down. Give me a break! For one alternative, try North China, located across from the Memorial City Professional Building at Kingsride and Frostwood. I have been eating there for 19 years and it is the best chinese food in Houston. One reason to go there rather than P.F. Changs: ITS AUTHENTIC.

P.F.Changs is good for their wraps and that is about it. The chinese food is American-chinese with a lack of spice. Its not authentic chinese , and they are overpriced for their mediocre food.

Do you think PFC has Chinese food? I don't think so.
    1. Food is not bad, but he real Chinese food is not like that.
    2. Besides, you'll find out your table is really close to others, and
    3. I don't like PFC's ice tea. (I will never go back or order their ice tea again, not tasty at all! rather buy tea bags and DIY ice tea by myself!)
    4. I've been waiting for 90 mins and didn't get good service. Our waiter was too busy to take care of us, he 'd rather talk to girls instead with add somemore water or icetea for us.

I love the food and I use to go there often. The only complain I have and the reason I haven't returned was because I had a terrible experience with the valet parking guy. When the valet guy took my car I gave him a generous tip but when I left the restaurant it was raining and I didn't want to wait for my car so I asked the person in charge for my key, well he went crazy because of this, he was extremely rude he yelled at me and threw the keys. When I went to my car I was putting my daughter in her car seat, well he chased after me and started banging on my car yelling that I needed to get out because they needed the space. I was extremely embarrassed and insulted, I've never been back since.

Food is ok but what happened to the vegies? Was very upset I could not get a regular glass of tea or just green tea. Why all the fancy drinks? More pricy than others on the list. Just trying to figure out why there is more than 1 restruant & how they stay in business. Ta Hua's food is much better & you get more for your money. Lunch specials are inexpensive & more food than you can eat. Never leave without a doggie bag!
