The Scene
Most Ballys stick to the basics for their design. Televisions broadcast silently above multiple rows of cardio machines; mirrored walls act as the primary decorative components. But thanks to high-energy television ads and low-impact membership premiums, this national fitness chain has steadily attracted a clientele bent on saving money while losing weight or gaining muscle.

The Workout
Using fairly standard strength-training equipment and/or racks well-stocked with free weights, the best of the trainers here, who are classified at four different levels, can be as skillful as those found at costlier gyms. For group classes, signature exercise options include Spinning and Powerflex, as well as a number of patented routines inspired by Tae Kwon Do.

Key Points

  • State-of-the-Art Equipment
  • Customized Fitness Programs
  • Easy-to-Join Membership

Ratings_icons Great Trainer and Nice Workout Area Champions Location

bigmike2133

I have been going to this gym for about 4 years now and have just recently took on a personal trainer to get me over to the next level. Chris Raven is new to this location but in the last month and half training with him has been great and I have dropped 4 pant sizes and 30lbs. He seemed more focused on me and my development than his pay check. So if anyone is looking for a great trainer that takes it back to basics with some new style Chris is the one you want to see.

Pros: Never crowded even during peak hours

Cons: would like to see more classes offered

So i went into ballys and asked if i can only get a month membership, i was told sure itll be a one time fee, but this fat mexican manager called chris apparently signed me up for a three year membership of 53.00 every month. I was being charged 53$ every month and i called the corporate headquarters and they also refuse to belive me all while this chris a-hol forged my signature. im still fighting with ballys and my bank !

AVOID these big chain fitness centers who lour you into their mutli years contract!!!!!

Pros: u can sweat

Cons: old machines and old people, very depressing
