I bought a top on the line computer and monitor at this Best Buy and discovered Fry's had the same computer on sale for quite a bit less PLUS they included a printer. when I returned with my sales receipt and a current Fry's advertisement, I got a run around. They said they do not do mail in rebates, so that amount was off limits and forget about the printer. To add insult to injury, their prissy little clerk (I think he was male, yet hard to tell from his demeanor) did everything he could to reduce the amount of money that Best Buy refunded in on my "Price Guarantee."
I will not be returning! Theyare both CROOKS and JERKS!

I purchased a camera from BestBuy in August 2005. I was sold one of BestBuy infamous "plans", and was told it was an accidental damage plan. In August 2006 I had a damage issue with the camera and BestBuy fixed it no problem. August 2007...it was like a different store!!! BestBuy refuses to fix my $270.00 camera without first paying them $160.00 for repairs, because they claim I didn't get the accidental damage plan. I have receipts to verify everything, and it comes down to the fact that the salesperson back in 2005 sold me the wrong plan (according to BestBuy). Now I'm told they'll be "happy to fix it at the rate that I was quoted ($160.00)". How terrible! A lifelong customer that has spent literally tens of thousands of dollars buying items for my home and now they are losing a customer over $160.00. Terrible terrible terrible! Buyer beware - they told me I should have read the service plan when I buying it (right, at which point? When the cashier is holding my credit card and everyone in line is getting angry because you're reading four pages of fine print??). Please please please! For your own sake, consider shopping somewhere else because this company just wants to make money off of you when you agree to buy service plans.
Also, a week before this incident, I went to BestBuy to buy a laptop. I was told by the salesperson that if you buy the accidental damage protection it does NOT cover the laptop screen, nor does it cover spills even though it claims that in the paperwork. What's the point of having accidental damage protection if it doesn't cover the most expensive part of the laptop - the screen! Oh and it doesn't cover spills...that's great, especially if you have teens/college students. Simply terrible!

In an attempt to EXCHANGE a CD, after looking for the replacement as I waas told to do, I returned to the young woman at the Return counter. She told me that she spoke with the manager and he said she was unable to exchange the cd.
I asked a young lady at returns to "speak to the Manager" Whom said that my defected $22 CD was not Manufacturers Error that it was user scratches and that I was "Raising my voice to his employee!". As I explained, the cd has a built in DVD that skipped as well as the audio.
I told him (he refused to give me his name) that I had worked there for 11 months and knew other Managers such as Martin & Charlie.
He told me Martin had been fired probably for "HIRING SOMEONE LIKE ME!" He continued and said "What did you do "GET FIRED?" I told him no and that I had quit w/ a two week notice.
I called him a p**sy for insulting me, and stuck my Middle finger 8 inches from his Face.
I was only looking for an exchange, not a REFUND.
This "Store Manager" refused to give me his name, followed me out to the lot after another Manager named Jennifer recognized me and stopped to ask what was all the fuss. I told her I was insulted as at this point I know I could not EXCHANGE my CD. He continually asked me to leave the store as I was talking to Jennifer. He was totally infuriaded and pissed because I knew my fellow workers before he did.
I complied, left, and as I mounted my motorcycle he came out and said I was not welcomed back. He broke a BestBuy rule of NEVER chase a Customer out. Especially when theft or confrontation is an issue.
Luckily, I kept my cool and didn't break his jaw.

A little slow to find help, but after that the staff was very helpful. Fast delivery and good warrenty protection. Would recommend to my family and friends.

Best buy is one of the best places to buy all your consumer electronics at bargain prices. They have great sales every week and They send out % off coupons in their newsletter to use when buying from their store.The customer service is excellent and very helpful and knowledgeable staff will make buying a pleasure. The have layaway plans and pay as you can plans to ensure you get the great items when you want them.
