Victoria's Black Swan Inn

We decided to schedule our February wedding here a few years ago and it was a nightmare!! First, the staff at Victoria's Black Swan Inn tried to raise the prices 3 weeks before the wedding and we almost had to cancel our wedding altogether- after already sending out the invitations! We were able to come to an agreement and follow through with wedding at the Inn, only because I did not want to face the humiliation of rescheduling the wedding. The staff made all sorts of promises about how wonderful the event will be, but they were lying. I have never been so humiliated. First, the Inn insisted on keeping their CHRISTMAS florals as decorations although it was FEBRUARY! All of my wedding pictures have poinsettias in the background! Then, they would not turn the air conditioner on- all of my guests were sweating throughout the ceremony! The guests sitting near the back during the ceremony later told me how the Inn staff were yelling and cursing outside DURING the ceremony. During the food buffet service, my guests were not allowed to go back for a second plate UNLESS they reused their dirty plates (to keep a head count, stated the staff)!! The wedding coordinator rushed us through the reception and then told my husband and I that we sould start heading out and the guests can continue to celebrate after we left since we had the Inn for another TWO hours. To my horror, I later found out that the Inn staff had the DJ cut off the music and told all of my guests that they had to leave as soon as we drove away. Luckily, i never had any illusions about a "dream wedding", but I never expected such humiliation for myself, my husband, my friends and my family.
