In Short
Established in 1982, this chain gained a following for its laid-back atmosphere and generous portions. Patrons settle into comfortable booths and tables in dining rooms with plants, artwork and décor reminiscient of the villas in the Tuscan countryside. Starters include scampi, sausage or pepperoni pizza, and several soup choices, as well as a signature seafood dip (crab, shrimp, cheese and marinara). Entrees include classics like lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo and chicken parmigiana. There are also "Garden Fare" options, which promise 30 percent fewer calories.

Key Points

  • Fresh, delicious Italian food
  • Variety of wine and beverages
  • To Go ordering available

The Inside Scoop

  1. What to Drink - What's spaghetti and meatballs without a glass of wine? You'll find vintages here from Italy, Australia, California and Washington.

Ratings_icons How about some REAL chicken?

Gloria M.

Had a gift card and ordered Venetian Apricot Chicken. The service was good, the plate was beautiful (veggies good), big salad bowl had ONE olive, and worst of all, the chicken was rubbery--the frozen kind, overcooked.

Overpriced. . . .

Ratings_icons The Good, the Bad, and the Funny.

The Good: It is nice to have all the salad that you want.

The Bad: The food is average and its prices are inflated.
The menu-ignorant and inattentive college-student servers laughing and talking loudly in alcoves between attending to diners are a real delight. But they do seem to be having a much better time than most patrons.
The cooking is as authentic Italian as McDonald's is authentic home cooking. It is inconceivable to me that a restaurant that purports to be serving Italian food does not even have a dessert cannoli on the menu!
Like their competition on the east side of Cooper, this is just another corporate entity pretending to be what it is not to try to get your money out of your pocket and into theirs while delivering as little as they can get away with. Better to find a family-owned, real Italian restaurant that cares about its food quality and its customers--and where you can get cannoli for dessert...

The Funny: People wait in line to get fleeced by this place! And then they say it was great! ROFL!

Bon Appetit!

I have not given a 5 star yet but this came so close. It was happy great but not just great plentiful Italian food for your money. When ever I want real food I go here, no questions. The price is worth it, it is not too costly though. The food itself covers everything; nothing is better than taking a while from drive thru and eat real food.

Ratings_icons By far my favorite restaurant in this area!

Falisha Y. | insider Insider | Rank: 21,879

The waiters always check on your table, even if they are very busy! They also always know the menu backwards and forwards, and will tell you the days best sellers or the best sellers in general! The manager is also a very nice person. I love eating there, the food is mouth-watering, and delicious!
