Amazing!

by RyanV

Can't say enough about Dr. Hagood. He fixed my back pain, my breathing problems, and I even stopped having my heart palpitations. After seeing three other chiropractors (one that really hurt me), physical therapy, cardiologists, and my regular doctor, who said he could not do anything else for my back pain, I went to see Dr. Hagood. After only one visit, I felt the pain subside in my back and it was much easier to breath. Now four visits later, I'm almost back the way I was. What a life saver, literally. He's extremely knowledgeable, happy to answer questions you have, and really takes his time with you. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for the best chiropractor in the state.

Pros: Best chiropractor in the state!

Cons: no drawbacks.

best head doc I have ever seen

by SouthAustinGrrl

I was sick for a year and had so much pain in my neck & shoulders. I had migraines and could barley move my head from side to side. I had been on neurological meds for a decade to stop migraines and dizzy spells. I had a team of doctors with different specialties and none of them knew how to make me feel better.
I had never been to a chiropractor, and thought they were quacks - but I was at a loss as I had tried everything.
Dr. Hagood treated me 3x a week every week for 2 months I was so screwed up. He was the first doctor who spent the time to really listen, explained, and I never felt rushed through an appt.
With his excellent treatment and the education he gave me, I got better. I feel better than I have in years. I get an adjustment once a month. I am pain free, no longer on meds, and I fired all those other doctors.

I highly recommend Dr. Hagood. Be ready for bad jokes and don't be offended if he drops the f bomb.

Great Experience!

by 42atx704

I've never been to a chiropractor in all my born days...and there've been many (as my grandmother would say...if she were alive and still able to talk). Well, today was my first time. I've had back problems for over a week now, and I've been to the doctor, the acupuncturist, and the massage guy. All of these have helped tremendously, but I really felt like there was something going on with my spine, so I decided to find a chiropractor. Why not, right?!

So, I chose Dr. Hagood at Parmer Lane Chiropractic. I chose Dr. Hagood because reviews written on Yelp. And let me say, they are spot on (go read 'em!). Everything about the experience was pleasant, if not downright fun -- yes, fun (the massaging water bed hoochimawhatzit and the electro-stimulator thingymabob are bizarre, but totally cool).

Dr. Hagood is well-educated, knowledgeable, likable, patient (no pun intended) , and thorough. His evaluation process leaves no stone unturned. He really knows how to get to the root of your problem.

The office itself is neat, clean, well-equipped (with all the modern technologies), easy to get to, and staffed with an extremely nice and efficient assistant. Parking is abundant. Drive-thru Starbucks is a block away. An Indian food market is next door. Everything you could want and more.

I'm going back for follow-up work on my specific back problem and then again to get myself in to total alignment. I really feel like this process will bring added value to my already pretty-decent health and fitness practices.

I highly recommend Dr. Hagood / Parmer Lane Chiropractic. Five stars really aren't enough.

Pros: Great doctor, great office, great staff

Cons: They didn't have Field & Stream magazine in the waiting area.

Outstanding chiropractic care

by lh22

Dr. Hagood is a very caring and knowlegeable doctor. I went to see Dr. Hagood because I had injured my back while mountain biking and doing pull ups. It hurt to even do 1 pushup. He listened to everything I had to say, and then took a great deal of time to explain what was happening and answered all my questions. He helped me tremendously in recovering from my injuries with a combination of adjustments and exercises. Don't expect to get better in one visit but rather a continual improvement over time. He enjoys what he does and enjoys sharing his knowledge with others.

Pros: Listens, takes a great deal of time with patient- not rushed, caring

The best chiropractor in Austin

by luckyidea

I've been seeing Dr Hagood for 6 years. When I first went to his office, I couldn't move because the muscles in my back were so tight. After a few adjustments, I was like new again. Since then, he's cured me of my migraine headaches and lowered my high heart rate. I continue to see him on a monthly basis as a form of preventative care and I've never felt better. I recommend Dr Hagood to anyone who will listen. He's helped several of my friends and family members just as he's helped me. He's the best!

Pros: quality of care, wait time, price

Cons: none!

Great through care with a holistic approach

by genghis1227

Dr. Hagood uses a holistic approach to chiropractic care. On the initial visit, Dr. Hagood will give you a through explanation of your condition and his approach to lead you on a path to recovery. Adjustments are key but there are other therapies he incorporates into his patient care. I use to go to a chiropractor that only did adjustments, however Dr. Hagood has various exercises to strengthen certain muscle areas along the spine to reinforce adjustments and massages to relax those muscles. He definitely eliminated the lower back pain I have been troubled with for some time.

Pros: through, welcoming

Cons: none
