Perfect for every occasion!

by tc749

I have been to Piatto twice now. Both times, it was fabulous. The wait staff is very much on the ball, the food is exemplary, and the atmosphere leaves nothing to be desired. All of these things come at a very affordable price for a fun, relaxing, Italian evening out on the town. It makes me feel like I am at one of my big family dinners - everyone talking, great music in the background, excellent wine to share, and delicious food to enjoy!

Below Average

I had dinner here w/ a friend last Tuesday. We had the asparagus speciali for our appetizer. It was very good. I enjoy anything that's fried, even asparagus. I had the lobster ravioli for my entree & thought it was OK, but not good. My friend had the veal picatta which was also just OK. I think both of the entrees lacked much flavor. I didn't enjoy the food, but the service was very good.

Pros: asparagus speciali, service

Cons: lobster ravioli, veal picatta

Perfect example of a well run establishment

by kdewhurst

Simply put, this is exactly the kind of restaurant my family and I enjoy going to on a regular basis. The food, personality and service we have enjoyed over the years is constant and at a high standard. If you dine out regularly, add this one to your most frequents. The end.

Pros: Free Valet

One of the best kept secrets...

by red14

Love this place!!! I've always had a great meal and fabulous service. I'm a slightly picky eater and they always honor my requests to adjust dishes to my taste. This place is my hidden gem. Everyone that I've taken here has returned at some point and have told their friends/family. This place gets crowded at lunch with the Galleria corporate crowd but I've never had to wait for a table. Try it, you'll love it!!

Pros: food, staff

Wonderful place to bring family!

by duske

I simply love this place. when i have business lunches /dinners this is where i dine. when my picky family members are in town or the not so picky for that matter, all i do is call and tell them how many and what time we will be there. when we walk through that door we are seated, drink orders are taken and here comes the appetizers. as a rule i hate asparagus it shows up either over cooked and or underseasoned, however john marion's i love. cooked properly with that delicate crab meat on top and the lemon butter sauce..... and the calamari YUM. i recomend going with a few people and ordering different items and sharing, especially for first timers so you know what you want to order the next time you dine there.

Pros: great food

Cons: seating is a little close but well worth the trip

Fantastic place to eat

by shervinj

We have passed by this wonderful place every time we drove home from the Galleria so we figured it was time to finally make it in. Service was great from second we stepped out of our cars. Hostess was super nice as well as our waiter Gerardo. I realize now after looking at the city search page the owner was there and greeted us as well. Food was great. Nice sized portions. My wife is vegetarian and there are quite a few things she was able to order. I got the grilled chicken with olive oil. It as really good. The butter cake someone else mentioned was great as well. Maybe too big for one person though. I recommend making reservations. The place was almost full on a Wednesday night. i can't imagine what it is like on a weekend. The pricing was really fair. Honestly it might only be a dollar or 2 more the macaroni grill. Mixed drinks have a fair fair price and are quite large.

Pros: Great service, great food, great selection

Cons: A little hard to get to since is by the Galleria

Amazing food, great service- great price!

by hookerlegs

I took my father here for his birthday recently. We wanted to try this place out as it was in the nieghborhood in the subburbs. I was completely surprised at the high quality! The interior is very nice and warm. The waitstaff was incredibly professional and personable with excellent service- very attentive and helpful with questions. The food came in a timely manner and it was so fantastic! I found the menu to be a nice fusion of seafood and italian .. some other treats thrown in. I was throroughly impressed with the quality of the food- considering we normally frequent the 3 and 4 star restaurants for birthdays. By the way, the whole family went to the PALM for the big celebration.

Pros: Great Food- reasonably priced- excellent service.

After a life-long addiction to Carrabbas on Voss, we finally ventured out to Piatto and have never looked back. Charming atmosphere, mouth watering food, good wine selection, and a friendly staff...what more could you ask for?? Be sure to get the asparagus appetizer and the cannoli!

Charming little restaurant

by palmtree1972

My family and I, went to Piatto Ristorante over the Memorial Day Weekend. FIrst of all, I will tell you this restaurant is a very charming, candlelit gem. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list. I also couldn't believe how reasonable the wine list prices were! Amazing! The food is to die for. We all ordered different entrees and sampled a bit of everyone elses at the table. Definitely go for the beef medallions marsala with the garlic mashed potatoes. The grilled chicken with herbs and extra virgin olive oil is some of the most tender, marinated, chicken I have ever tasted. Please top off dessert with the butter cake! This is definitely a sinful dessert. But if you share it among the table, you won't feel so guility about getting to the gym. My family and I would definitely go back to this restaurant.

Pros: quiet, candlelit
