Valdo's Seafood House

has to be the worst food in all of Texas. The service is deplorable. If you have a lot of time to wait you will do just that My husband ordered a steak medium it was raw and unedible. Never will go there again, do not reccomend this restaurant to anyone.

What a beautiful restaurant and setting. The food was outstanding, the wait staff very knowledgeable. The pricing was very conservative for the excellence of the freshness and preparation. We will be back.

My friend and I decided to try this place on a whim. When we got there, the restaurant was dead, and we were the only people there besides one other family. Our waiter spoke to us in a very patronizing manner, as if we were lucky he would speak to people like us. We ordered an appetizer, which was very good, their calamari is delicious, but our waiter set it down like it disgusted him to even be there. My friend and I both ordered the same dish. Now, to their credit, they give you very, very generous portions, but as I have said before, we had never been there before. Let me stop here and just say that my friend and I are both big women (but it isn't like we need our own zip codes), and as we placed our order, our waiter got this repulsed look on his face. As he turned away we both heard him say "good GOD". Not understanding what the problem was, we were both very confused. We both are former waitresses, and whatever the deal was, we both agreed that this was NOT the way to treat your table, especially if there was NOBODY else to make your tips off of. He brought the plates, and they were HUGE. My friend cracked a joke saying "you could have warned us" to which our waiter replied "Mm, yeah, but this will be a lot funnier to watch." Neither of us finished, despite his urging (oh yes, he did). We didn't leave a tip it was so awful, especially from the standpoint of two people who worked in the restaurant industry for several years.Long story short, good food, decent prices, absolutely deplorable manners. I will never go there again.
