I couldn't believe that the "garden-guy" had his wife send an email to a prospective client claiming that they "don't do work for homosexuals." Wow! Mr. Farber didn't even have the courage to tell the prospective client on the phone during the original conversation. Regardless of Mr. Farber's scripture quotes he places on his website in order to make him seem Christian, I find this attitude to be very un-Christ-like and as a devout Christian myself I am disgusted.

CONS: Homophobe

Just when you think that Houston is coming around with a progressive mentality. Wham! I cant believe that someone would use the words honest and respect on their website and politely (as if it was the proper thing to do) respond by email to a friend saying "we dont do business with homosexuals" What sort of double morality are these christians up to? Whats next, Jews, Blacks, and Muslims??

PROS: Great if you like hate crimes
CONS: perfect if want you contracter to judge your every action

I am glad to patronize this superior landscaper as he refuses to allow perverts to push him around.

He is a man of principal who holds fast to God's word, despite the best efforts of sodomites to ruin him.

The best.

If he's a man of principal, wouldn't he be better placed overseeing teachers instead of landscape installation?

In principle, I don't really have much of an issue with this man and his choices, though frankly it does seem a bit odd to attack homosexuals 'in defense of marriage' when heterosexuals, with their 50% divorce rate, have completely removed any sanctity from the institution themselves. Shouldn't they be refusing to do business with divorced people??? Wouldn't that be more direct??

My real beef is that he lied about professional affiliations to a group that actually requires nondiscrimination as part of membership.

PROS: Looks like he does nice work
CONS: Lying...isn't that a sin?

Probably one that practiced the golden rule. One that knew they were commanded to "love one another, as I have loved you."

Was Mary Magdelene a "pervert?"

What does working in someone's yard have to do with what goes on in their bedroom? Is it normal to even ponder other people's intimate life?

Of course THEY will read this and label me as gay. But I am not.

There is nothing more dispicable than a customer service business that puritanically judges potential customers and denies them service based on their sexual orientation.

We live in Shady Acres & hired Todd Farber (aka the Garden Guy) to install a parking area for us. He guaranteed his work, and after 3 months, the parking area eroded into our drainage ditch. I have spoken with Todd on the phone numerous times about repairing the work, and each time he stated he would come fix the parking area within the next few days. After 2 months of speaking with him on the phone, I have realized that he unreliable & unwilling to keep his word. I would not recommend using him.

Houston Landscaper Garden Guy delivered an on-time, on-budget, beautiful landscaper for our home! Their porefessionalism and plant knowledge is awesome. We could not be more pleased with Todd Farber and Garden Guy! A family approach that leaves you feeling very pleased!

Garden-Guy did an amazing job at my home. They were on time, professional, friendly, and most of all, on budget.

I find it amazing that so many people review this company based on their "readings" online on how Garden-Guy refuses to do business with homosexuals. It is unfortunate that someone with a back-bone, stands up for what they believe and gets chastized for it, because their views were left-slanted or homosexual-loving.

Moreover, READ THIS, I DID BUSINESS WITH GARDEN-GUY BECUASE HE REFUSED TO DO BUSINESS WITH GAYS! This has more impact than those reviewing Garden-Guy who live in apartments or condos with their same-sex partner and will never have a need outside of potted plants for landscape services.

These people are dishonest hypocrites who treat some people better than others. They discriminate against gay people and feel they have a right to pre-judge the morallity of all people who want to have landscaping work done by them. I would stay away from businesses that discriminate. Maybe next they will discriminate against blacks, Chinese, or people who are single parents.

I don't see that Garden-guy checks the criminal records of those they do business with, they only care who you sleep with and who you fall in love with. It is not cool to be prejudice and dishonest, and it's certainly NOT Christian !
