On short notice I hired Al & Carmen to photograph our engagement party. They took amazing photos of me & my fiance and of the engagement party.
They created a gorgeous linen photo album, posted the photos online for our friends & family to enjoy & as a bonus they created a DVD of the event with music in the background. Awesome!

Al Torres Photography has to be the best in Houston. They are so easy to work with and they are super flexible and extremely friendly, so taking pictures with them was super easy and relaxed. Their work is priceless. The pictures we have from our Engagment Shoots and Bridal and Groom Portraits are invaluable to us and we are so happy that we chose such great people to work with. I will always choose to work with Al Torres for the rest of my life!

We watched the wedding DVD when my son and his new wife were here for Christmas. In looking over the pictures again it just amazes me how Al was able to capture the feeling throughout the day and night. I will cherish the photos!

Al's use of the lens to capture life images you would never think possible is stunning... simply stated yet true. Pictures Al and Carmen have tastefully displayed in their studio and on their web site are a testament to his skill and artistry as a photographer, which are unsurpassed and superb. Look for yourself. He is truly the best photographer I have ever known and I do not say that lightly. I am a Naval Officer and I have traveled the world many times over in my 29 years of service. I have seen and been with many great photographers in my career, including the wonderful men and women of the combat photo teams and naval Information offices. Never have I seen the talent to which Al applies in his shoots and photos. He is genuinely caring, calming, professional, and exacting. His ability to pin point the perfect angle, light and posture to produce outstanding pictures are amazing, even on the fly in natural settings!
The story of my exposure to Al?s true gifts is unforgettable. I came to Houston to receive treatment for my daughter at Texas Children's Hospital. My daughter unfortunately passed away there. My family and I had been staying in a nearby apartment and we decided to get a photo shoot done with our daughter before she went in to the hospital. Carmen and Al immediately put us at ease the minute we walked in. When we saw the proofs prior to her passing, we were floored. Al's use of available lighting in his studio and spectacular colors through flash filters captured our souls. My daughters eyes were so vivid and life like we can still almost touch her right through the image. Her main headshot was framed and placed at the head of her bed while she was in the ICU. Every doctor and nurse who attended to her was struck by the photo and the way she seemed to be watching them. It is now the centerpiece of our home and I can say the most shared and sacred photo of my wife and I. Thanks Al and Carmen for the everlasting memory! You are the BEST!

I've been modeling since I was 10 years old. Most of the photos I use to represent myself (portfolio, comp cards, etc) are from Al's shoots. Even the one I put on myspace for my fam & friends. Not only does Al know how to bring out the very best of you--he does it in a way that still looks like the real you! It couldn't be any better! I'm always referring friends and strangers to Al. From engagment & weddings to friends that want to get into modeling, I send them all to check out Al. I always tell everyone he's the best and very reasonable for such fabulous photos! If I ever cut my hair or change my look, first thing I'll do is go back to Al for my new headshots & photos. Can't say enough. :)

From the moment we met Al & Carmen we knew they would shoot our wedding and 5 years later we are still going back for pictures of our little girl Lola.
They make things easy for two working parents who don't always have the same schedule. I can view them on line or take the prints home to review.
And Al's web page is easy to navigate.

I worked with Al many times and let me say this, there is no fluff or tricks with him or his shooting style, JUST STRAIGHT OUT AND NATURAL, the best i seen. While other photographers are talking about lighting and equipment and using mega zooms .... Al will walk in with a "normal lens" ,Photographers you know what i mean, and he will shoot the best images ,PERIOD.

Al Torres has captured nearly my intire adult life on film.This includeds every precious life changing event.One momentous occation that comes to mind is after the birth of my first born,Al came to my home and photographed my newborn baby boy.We used all the wonderful blankets ,rattles and clothes for props,and for him to think of taking my Great Grandmothers rocking chair out into the beautiful Spring day really impressed me.I treasure those photographs They are pricless to me.What a natural talent!Some things are gifts, Photography is certainly his.I also realy admire how natural he is with children,mine are so at ease with him,he has a way of talking to them that he is able to direct them.Al and Carmens studio is so comfortable and in such a great location ,I realy dont have a single negative thing to say.I love Al Torres Photography!

We recommend Al Torres Photography without reservation. Al & Carmen Torres have lent there artistry to my families memories since the early 90's. They have always been a joy to work with and made even our most stressful holiday, wedding & family photo shoots a smooth and enjoyable experience. I was so happy to find Al on Citysearch. He did a wedding for my neighbors daughter earlier this year, and the pictures are just fabulous. As soon as I have a need for new photos, I would not need to go anywhere else. The photos were of great quality, and captured the entire evening without a glitch!

Al makes your experience fun, exciting. He makes you feel like your famous. And the pictures are fabulous. Everyone that I show my pictures to wants to know who did them because they are the best they have ever seen. He also made my children feel very comfortable and their smiles looked natural and spectacular!!! I would highly recommend going to Al's studio. You won't want to go to anyone else after you have taken your photos with him. The staff is very friendly to EVERYONE and Al always seems to know the perfect backgrounds and posses for every event and or occasion.

Al and Carmen shot my bridal portraits and wedding in March of 2005. I was incredibly pleased with their proffessionalism and attention to detail they gave both shoots. From the moment you arrive at the studio until the final shot they are constantly making sure you are comfortable and relaxed. I think this is why they get such amazing photographs. I especially liked the candid pictures Al took at the wedding. Half the time we didn't even know he was taking our picture which captured my favorite photographs. I highly recommend Al Torres Photography to anyone looking for a photographer to work with for a lifetime.

When I went to Houston on a visit we needed a photography studio. A friend recommended Al Torres Photography and I am glad she did. From the time we arrived to the time we left was an awesome experience. The staff, very professional, attended to our every needs. Their recommendations were highly welcomed and even presented us with ideas that were truely delightful. The picture quality is outstanding and I would definitely recommend him to any of my friends, family members and anyone else who will listen. We have used Al Torres for over 6 years and have used him from everything to our engagement and bridal shots to pictures of our children now and we are always thrilled with the pictures that we get back. This studio has the most incredible customer service...you are going to be thrilled with Al's touches and ideas! I have never felt rushed and have always enjoyed our sessions there! We used Al and Carmen for our wedding pictures and we found a photographer for life. We were so pleased with the work and could have not asked for anything more. Our pictures were perfect. The pictures accurately reflected the day. It is a great blend or traditional and photojournalistic style. When people look at any of the pictures that Al has taken we always receive compliments. Carmen is very responsive to your requests and accommodating to your needs. You cannot go wrong with this team.

I first used Al and Carmen Torres for my wedding in 2002 and have been going back again and again since then. They are a wonderful team with a warm, friendly studio. They make you feel so welcome each time. Al is so creative and always gets great shots. I have used him most recently for shots of my little girl. He gets great shots even on her not so happy days. Carmen is great with suggesting other little great things like the album I am putting together for my little girl. I highly recommend them for their professionalism, creativity, and their ability to make you feel right at home. They are awesome and well worth the trip we make in town to the studio!!! Very reasonably priced...and willing to work with you so you take home exactly what you wanted..no more, no less!

Al has the perfect combination of creativity and tradition in his photography. He did my bridal portraits and engagement pictures. We had so many great pictures to choose from. There were many traditional portrait pictures to use for the newspaper and framing. He also took some amazing shots that show our personalities. Al, Carmen, and their staff are easy and fun to work with. They have made the whole wedding experience even better for us!

This photographer is very personable and doesn't treat you like just another number; he makes it a pleasurable exerience in the studio. Your time spent there feels warm & comfortable. If you have ideas, he lets you give your input which adds a personal touch to the photograph style or props. I have been getting my pictures taken by Al since 1990, he's amazing! Even when I think I don't look my best he always knows how to make you look like the most beautiful person on earth. He is an incredibly skilled and talented photographer and very creative. His office staff is very friendly and accomodating. When it came time to find the perfect photographer for my wedding, I panicked. Luckily, I found Al Torres Photography and my wedding photos are amazing. Al Torres did exactly what I wanted and he had some wonderful ideas, as well. Since then, he has photographed family photos and some provacative photos.
