1 Stars: no hitches or brake controllers (by Leon B.)

Last April I purchased a used Casita trailer in Texas. I wanted to use a WDH to tow it. Casita said they use the Curt Model 17000 WDH. I contacted Bill's Radiator and Muffler in Plano, TX and they said they could install the WDH and brake controller, both Curt products. Two days before arriving, I phoned to make sure the correct items would be ready for installation.
When I arrived, they had a 1000 lb toungue weight WHD and not the 600 lb WDH. They told me it did not matter, it could handle up 1000 lb. I refused to let them install the hitch and insisted they get Model 17000. Reluctantly, they agreed but insisted on installing the brake controller that day. I let them. What a mistake. I should have gone to a shop that knew what they were doing.
Many mistakes were made:
1) The trailer was never tested with the brake controller to establish correct settings. Later, after reading the controller instruction material, I followed the procedure to find set the controller correctly. As they set the controller, it was locking up the trailer brakes when stopping from a speed of 25 mph.
2) They did not give me the controller printed material. I had to ask for it.
3) Plans and drawings faxed by Casita required welding 2 pieces of channel onto the frame to weld the hookup brackets onto. They only welded 1 piece of channel. This caused the hookups to hit against the propane tanks and not go up all the way.
3) The hookups were cut off so they would go up, but they still hit the propane tanks. Leaving Texas, I stopped at a welding shop and had the hooks sawed off so they would not hit the propane tanks.
4) The hookups were not welded an equal distance from the front of the hitch. They were off by 1/2 inch so one chain does not pull up vertically.
5) The plate onto which the hitch ball is mounted was not installed horizontally and needs to be fixed.
6) They mangled one of the clips and the rivet holding a round spring bar. When leaving a gas station, the round bar fell out. Fortunately, I was not on the highway at the time.

I am taking my tow vehicle, trailer, and WDH to a local installer who I trust. Hopefully, he can correct the mistakes so that I have a WDH that works and is safe.

2 Stars: I wouldn't go back (by Amy S.)

I brought my car here to be repaired because a friend recommended them. They were really nice but really inefficient. They had great prices, but I will not go back.

2 Stars: Totally unprofessional! (by Charles G.)

First thing ! They are cheap for a reason . Those guys at Bill's Radiator & Muffler Svc cannot ,I repeat ,cannot weld! I've been there twice. Once to install custom exhaust and second time for welding stuff back because the welds did not hold together. To be honest ,I've seen high school students doing better welding than those slackers. Their shop is dirty ,crap everywhere ,always see liquids spilled around. They don't take their time .When they were bending my pipes ,they did not even use any kind of measuring device to insure it fits and looks symmetrical (I had dual exhaust) . My friend had a muffler installed at their shop... 2 months later it basically felt off.I wish you could see the welds on that thing . Pathetic.

5 Stars: Chosen Based on These Reviews (by J M.)

When my radiator failed, I began looking for a service shop in the Plano area. I made a decision based mainly on the reviews from this site and a couple others. My Review - Sometimes you really can find a good place, with good people, charging a reasonable amount to repair your vehicle. The service was completed, as scheduled, at a price much lower than the dealerships were wanting to charge. They (Gary and the team) were very easy to work with...think service with a smile (and maybe even a laugh, or two). End Result - This is the kind of place I would refer friends and family to use. I vote with my feet, and will definitely use Bill's Radiator & Muffler Service in the future, when needed.

5 Stars: I CAN'T BELIEVE IT, THEY'RE HONEST AND DO QUALITY WORK!!! (by Doug B.)

I am impressed, amazed, comforted and overjoyed by the continued quality work and exceptional customer service from Gary and the guys at Bill's Radiator and Muffler in Plano, Texas. The price quotes given hardly change once they actually know what's required and they call you back to okay repairs once they know for sure! I've had the brakes changed on both my car and truck this year (2008) at Bill's and the work was equal if not better than that of the dealership without the astronomical prices. I also had my radiator, cat-coverter, and motor mounts replaced on my 9 year old Protege. None of the repairs have had to be done over!!! Thanks guys keep it up!!! I'm telling all my friends about you guys!

5 Stars: Great service (by Betsy C.)

How often do you remember for years what a good experience you had at an auto repair shop? Well, this is one that is noteworthy! They were recommended by another automotive professional, and with good reason. The prices and service were excellent, and the staff is friendly and honest!

5 Stars: AP Financial – financial intermediary (by APFinancial A.)

AP Financial financial intermediary
An entity whose income exceeds its expenditure can lend or invest the excess income. On the other hand, an entity whose income is less than its expenditure can raise capital by borrowing or selling equity claims, decreasing its expenses, or increasing its income. AP Financial The lender receives interest, the borrower pays a higher interest than the lender receives, and the financial intermediary pockets the difference. AP Financial

5 Stars: Jerry Katzman MD - Fish Oil and Children (by jerry k.)

Jerry Katzman MD - Fish Oil and Children
The importance of fish oil and children. While many people know that fish oil is a healthy supplement for adults, many others wonder how fish oil and children relate to one another. Jerry Katzman MD
Baby Formula
Fish oil does seem to have a positive effect on babies and some baby formula manufacturers are beginning to add fish oil to their recipes. In fact, studies indicate that children who were fed formula with DHA as babies perform better on tests that measure mental development and vision. Other studies showed that fish oil fats in babies increased their intelligence as adults. Jerry Katzman MD

5 Stars: Howard J. Wilner - Moisture sensor (by howard w.)

Howard J. Wilner - Moisture sensor
Special sensors reduce window fogging and increase climatic comfort by means of interior moisture management. Based on the data provided by the moisture and temperature sensor, the dew point temperature of the air is calculated in the climate control unit. The temperature at the windscreen is measured contactlessly via the infrared radiation sensor. To prevent the windscreen from fogging over, the electronic climate control regulates the temperature of the windscreen so that it is higher than the dew point temperature of the air.

5 Stars: I love these guys! (by Carrie G.)

These guys are beyond hilarious! The prices are very reasonable, and they'll keep you entertained the entire time you wait. Great work on my car, they fixed it no questions asked, and I could not be happier. In fact, I was so thrilled with the service and work that I went back a second time to change my exhaust up on my car. Would gladly recommend to any of my friends!
