Toys R Us

I have beed to this TRU several times. I am inbetween 2 different ones. I found this store to be less than helpful. On more than one occasion I asked if they could find a particular item and they told me where to look. Of course I could not find it. Also, when they were doing the promo buy a Tonka truck get a fire truck free and none of the stores got any in. This store would not make any substitutions. Willowbrook did.

PROS: Clean
CONS: hard to get staff to wait on you

I went into TRU the day before the day before Christmas. I waited around for about 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. I was looking for a particular toy for my daughter and needed help. There were 4 people behind the customer service counter. The girl pointed over to a wall and told me to look there for what I wanted. I could not find it so I asked another person. He basically said the same thing, to just go and look. I then went back to the customer service counter and asked if they could look in their compter to tell if they had the toy or not. She told me she could, but it would take some time. No problem...I have all the time in the world. She finally figured out how to do a search and it came up that they had 4 in stock. She then turns to another person behind the counter to ask if they had any and he tells her probably not without even turning around and looking at her monitor. I tell him it shows four. She tells me the computer is "probably wrong." I then ask if she can call another store to check for me. She tells me she can give me the number and I can call myself. What a waste of my time. I realize it is two days until Christmas, but they need better staff.

CONS: rude staff, poor customer service

Toys R Us is a nice place. They have everything in the right places. It's probably because not very many customers go there now. I went to this one and couldn't find any good deals compare to either Wal-mart or other places.

The place is actually pretty nice considering it's in an area that's being continually built up and there's a mall nearby. The people I've met inside are very nice and quite helpful when needed. The prices are a little high, but sometimes you can find something there that no other place has. It's never been extremely busy so the employees do have time to help you. The stuff is pretty easy to find as well. You can always find the popular thing your kid wants.
