Lauras Lawn & Landscape

My 4th year using LL&L and my 3rd year to prepay the entire season up front for even greater savings. You get what you pay for, a value provider offering basic lawn service. Nothing more, nothing less. If there are weather interruptions in their schedule, you have to expect that your lawn may not get mowed on the usual day until things get back to normal, usually the following week. I have not had problems getting them to respond to scalping complaints or other problems. They do not respond during the off season. Overall, I'm pleased with the service LL&L provides for the price I pay. Could probably do it better, but could not do it any cheaper myself!

They mowed once and were suppose to come back
2 weeks later. I contacted Laura and asked why they hadn't showed up and when would
they be there? She told me I didn't pay the first time so they were not coming back until payment was received. Why would they mow the first time if I didn't pay? I checked my bank and found the endorsed check that they had cashed a couple of days after they mowed. Ok, I thought,second chance... I scheduled them to come back out. They came, took the payment and ONLY mowed the front. The gate was accessible to the back. I
emailed the owner to ask her when they would be back out to finish the job I had paid for, no response. I emailed her again today and asked her. Her response to me was this: "We will just cancel the service, can't make everybody happy." I seriously don't know how she has any clients if she does business this
way.

They have totally skipped the backyard 3 times, the side yard 2 times, the front yard 2 times. They haven't returned any phone calls and won't return emails. Maybe I'll be the first one to sue them. They are not in good standing with the Texas Secretary of State being behind on their taxes. If anyone wants to drop by and pay Tim and Laura Deal a visit, their home address listed with the state is 4409 Birdsong Ln in Plano. The actual property is listed to a 65 year old lady so maybe they might be using that as a front.

Laura's L&L does not show up when they are supposed to, they do not answer/return your calls and they are RUDE!! They made a huge stink about the dog poop because I forgot to scoop it one week and cursed at a friend of mine who was at my home about the "dog sh*t" . Totally unprofessional. And, since they haven't shown up yet this week and I'm at risk of a ticket from the city, I'll be finding another service pronto!!

One seemingly main complaint I have read about Laura's Lawns and Landscape {LLL} is that they never return phone calls. Laura always returns email because she a) runs so very many crews and b) doesn't have time to return phone calls and keep costs low. LLL is a great company which offers good services at an affordable prices. We had been contracting them to mow our lawn for the past 5 years and we pay ahead for the whole year. They always show up on the scheduled day and do excellent work. Their landscape trim with every pre-paid season is just great. My wife and I highly recommend them. I have no problems referring friends to LLL and everyone I have referred is very pleased with their job.

I am so glad to know that I am not the only one that has had no luck in getting a return phone call from this company. After numerous attempts to contact them for additional services such as tree trimming, flower bed cleaning/mulching, etc..I have given up. Gladly so, now that I know how terrible this company is run. I continue to use them; however, I never know when/if they are going to show up. I will discontinue using this company next year. I will certainly do my due diligence in finding the next company that will take care of my lawn service. I don't have time for unreliable, unprofessional, and irresponsible business antics of Laura's Lawn and Landscaping.

I don't know Laura, but I do know that she needs to be more careful when hiring crews. They evidently do not accurately report to her. They do not mow when scheduled to mow and all pretend to speak or understnd no English--if you do lawns, you understand when someone points at the weed whacker and the weeds to be eliminated. Get better crews!

I've used Laura's to mow my lawn for the past three years. The first two years they were OK - inexpensive, and you got what you paid for. This year they have become very unreliable, frequently missing weeks. At first they denied having skipped a week, though the shagginess of the grass told a different story. Now they don't respond to email or return phone calls. At this point the lawn hasn't been mowed for almost 3 weeks. I'm assuming they are out of business. Good riddance.

They refused to mow back lawn every now and then because one or two drops of dog feces (nothing unavoidable)... Upscale Plano.. keep our home nice... They also destroyed a 60 dollar set of solar lights. Laura does not return phone calls unless its something minor. We are firing them after this year and perhaps pressing a law suit.

Laura's is not a good company; they simply refuse to return any calls. Find a more reputable company. They show when they feel like it, and you will not be on a schedule.

They have stolen my money! I paid in advance - they didn't show up for a month - the grass was knee high - and when the did, they TOOK THE CHECK AND CASHED IT!!! And did NOT mow the lawn!!!! I am so furious. It's plain theft as far as I am concerned. I am out $$ and now and am in a crunch needing to find a lawn service. They won't return calls. I've left several messages....nothing. Someone needs to sue these bandits.

I have been with Lauras Lawn and Landscape for several years, everything seemed to be fine until last year, after their workers left i noticed my radar dectector was stolen from my car and yes i new it was them because they left grass clippings in my car, when i called she defeneded them by saying "oh no...my guys wouldn't do that", so i dropped the issue. then with their winter schedule we payed ahead and they did not come several times, and she tried to defend them by saying they did come out and I told her no they did not because i write down when they do show up. now this year they broke our gate that leads to our bigger back yard, i let that go until the following schedule day they came back, i had lattice on top of the BROKEN gate so that my dog cannot jump it, two weeks ago, they ripped the lattice off the gate, and my gate was thrown on the ground, I confronted them and one of the laughed at me the other just shrugged his shoulders. I've tried calling this company and emailing numerous times to resolve this issue and they will not return any of my messages. we were supposed to get our lawn mowed on 9/16/07 and they never showed so I thought they would come out on Sunday, still no show. they do not contact their customers to let them know they will not be out, they show up anytime they feel like it even though she says "they have a schedule" I find that when a problem arises they will not talk to you and they defend their workers. they will surely lose out on money when people start cancelling their service with them. I will be reporting them to the BBB and contacting a lawyer and then bill them for the broken gate. I always went out and gave the guys soda after they were done to show my appreciation and this is what I get in return.
it is so frustrating having to deal with a company that will not work with you. I even recently referred my neighbors to them and now I am so embarrassed cause they did not do their lawn either this past weekend. I would never recommend this company to anyone not even my worst enemy. I always thought that the customers come first but not with this company, they have no interest in making their customers happy. I cannot believe after all these years they are treating me like this.

This lawn company was consistently inconsistent. They did not provide service on agreed upon days, did not return calls, and did not perform adequately when they did bother to show up. The final straw was on the last service day the lawn persons arrived, took the check for payment, and were in their truck and gone before I could get to the door to speak to them. Most disappointing business relationship I have had in years. Terrible business model, unresponsive, and sloppy at best.

Laura's Lawn and Landscape has been cutting my lawn for 3+ years. They have always been on time and I have gotten calls back or email replies within a reasonable amount of time. To help the guys cutting my yard, I will sometimes leave 3-sodas or water bottles outside my door for the workers. I do this maybe two or three times a year. They pick up their drinks when they are done cutting and drive away. I know they are doing me a great service and have to work in the hot sun everyday. Do not get discourage- Laura's Lawn and Landscape is a great value and the workers do a very good job.

After reading the previous reviews, I'm guessing this company has gone out of business. They've mowed our lawn every other week for about 3 times now and today was their day. No show, no call, nothing. The voice mail box is full. Their service was not great, but I'm having a hard time finding one that is. Yes, our lawn was scalped, too, and when the lawn grew so fast, it didn't help that they were only mulching. It's way too long for that.

I am writing this out of sheer frustration! I have contacted them NUMEROUS times with NO answer. They are leaving now 3 ft plus weeds in my front yard. I have tried leaving notes and calling the company. Nothing works. They won't return my calls and they certainly are not performing the work. I am very unhappy with this company.

On June 12th they scalped my yard once again, ran over the newspaper, trashed my yard, ran over my soaker hoses and ripped them up. I left messages and email the company and yet on June 25th they returned and I chased them away after they started cutting 1/3 of my yard that is scalped once again. I called the police and instisted the men to stay and they looked at me like I was crazy and that they didn't understand English. Oh.. They understood me. I left another message on their machine that night. I will keep calling until they understand they are now Treaspassing. They are terrible and will ruin your yard. DO NOT HIRE THEM!

Laura's Landscape is a great company and offers good services at an affordable price. We had been contracting them to mow our lawn for the past 2 years and we pay ahead for the whole year. They always show up on the scheduled day and do an extremely high calibre work. Also they maintain our hedges and have hired them couple of times to trim our trees in the backyard and their rates are highly competitive and I highly recommend them. Also I have referred several friends of mine and everybody is greatly satisfied with their job. A++++++++++.

At first, this company did a great job. Then after about a month they started scalping my yard. We e-mailed them and asked them to come every other week and they proceeded to come every week anyways. We then called and left 2 messages and asked them not to come at all and they have mowed our lawn twice since. We even hung up a large sign that stated DO NOT MOW TODAY!!! My husband and I have called and left several messages and they still will not call us back.

PROS: did good at first
CONS: will not return any phone calls or e-mails

This company gives good quotes but they don't come when they should. Never pay in advance we made that mistake and now they are now showing up when scheduled I have left at least 10 messages and no one will call me back.

PROS: cheap
CONS: you get what you pay for

I heard about Laura's Lawn from a friend. I couldn't believe the price. If you pay monthly it's only $20/mowing. It's a great deal and they are very reliable. I think they do a really good job. Highly recommended!
