Dr Ward saved my foster puppies!

by r s.

Dr Ward is the best! He saved my foster puppies lives when they were exposed to distemper. One of the puppies was close to death when we took them in to Dr Wards clinic and now, all 5 puppies are happy and healthy. Thanks Dr Ward!

I'm a believer-- Dr. Ward Saved Our Little Girl!

by anonymous b.

I wrote an extensive review of how Dr. Ward saved my Pekingese who was exhibiting paresis (like paralysis) in all four limbs but it's pretty long and I am having a hard time posting it. I have it in Word file though, so if you want to read the whole thing, email me and I will send it to you and answer any other questions that I can. Long story short, my six year old Pekingese lost the ability to walk, or even _stand_ over the period of about a week. Over this time, she got so depressed she stopped eating and I was having to give her Boost and Ensure through a straw. I hate to say I was force feeding her, but I don't know what else you could call it. At that rate, her days were numbered and my husband and I were quite tearful. I knew we had to act fast, but we couldn't afford the 2,000 neurosurgery that our main vet rec commended. We were absolutely desperate, ringing our hands, not sleeping at night. Her failing health was a living nightmare for all three of us. I found Dr Ward's reviews on this website and, with heavy hearts, my husband and I took our dear girl to this stranger, Dr. Ward. Two weeks later, we have her back. She's standing, walking, eating and drinking on her own. The spark is back and the bark is back! Dr. Ward, God bless you, you saved our girl!

my 15-year-old dog is dancing again

by Jana N.

My 15-year-old dog Molly fell and damaged a disc in her back. The local vet treated her, and she got better. A couple of months later, she started having severe pain again, and our local vet said we might be able to manage her pain and might not. I was debating putting her down when a friend recommended Dr. Ward. After two weeks, Molly was dancing and romping like a puppy. She has the occasional "tune up" and is still going strong almost a year later.

My husband and neighbor made fun of me when I first said I was going to take Molly for chiropractic treatment--after two weeks they each asked if I thought Dr. Ward would see them.

Dr. Ward is the BEST, he saved my puppy

by Alina L.

Dr. Ward and his wonderful staff saved my puppy. My puppy Ben got parvo 3 days after we brought him home. My regular vet said there was little to do for him. I went on line researching about the virus and I ran into Dr. Ward's articles and different treatment options as well as experience. He gave me hope and brought my puppy back to life in 24 hours!!! He is the best. He has successfully treated parvo, distemper, cancer, and others. He even keeps a scrapbook on success cases. I am glad my puppy is one of them.

Great Vet

by Kelsey Z. | insider Insider | Rank: 24,432

I have 2 Weimaraners that came into rescue with distemper and tick diseases. Both had the opportunity to be treated by Dr. Ward. Dr Ward gave us a bagful of medication (combination of holistic and traditional). Long story short... they are both healthy and alive 5 year later. Thanks Dr. Ward.

Undeniably the best

by Karen A.

I can't thank Dr. Ward enough for saving the life of my dog. I had rescued a beautiful pit/boxer mix from the local shelter for my son. I brought him in for a check up right after the adoption, and it was determined he had kennel cough, and after running blood work, distemper. I thought it was a death sentence, and was heartbroken. However, Dr. Ward told me he'd had great success in the treatment and had several of his patients recover from this disease, and put my pup on a regime of medicines, at a very nominal amount. Within a week, his cough, runny nose and fever were gone, and within a 3wk period of time, you would have never known he was ill at all. He is now one of his "survivors" of this disease. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Ward to anyone who is looking for a great vet or someone who is disatisfied with their current pet's health provider. He is undeniably the very best.

Informative Vet

by Stacey W. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 12,138

Dr. Ward is a very kind and sympathetic vet. We had just moved to the area. We had our dogs annual checkup done by another vet in the area. I was not happy with his services. When my dog showed signs of an illness, I called Dr. Ward (recommended by our dog boarding facility). We dropped our dog off in the morning so that Dr. Ward could run tests. We knew the prognosis would not be good. Dr. Ward was honest with us about everything and gave us his recommendations. That evening when we went to visit our dog Dr. Ward explained all the tests to us thoroughly to help us understand what they meant and how they affect the overall health of our dog. After many tears, we knew that this life threatening illness had taken over our beloved dog. Dr. Ward was very gentle in how approached the subject of putting our dog to sleep. He was obviously very knowledgeable of this particular genetic illness. We received a sympathy card from Dr. Ward a few days later, which I thought was above and beyond the kindness I've ever experienced from a vet.

We took our other dog there just a week ago for a minor issue and Dr. Ward's over the counter remedy worked cured the problem in a few days.

I highly recommend Dr. Ward.

PROS: Knowledgeable, Informative, Gentle, GREAT bedside manner
CONS: Not open on the weekends..but I can deal with that

This clinic saved my cat!

by Kristy C. | insider Insider | Rank: 16,363

My cat became ill and I didn't have a regular vet, so I randomly called the Plano Animal Clinic because it was near my home. My cat had massive kidney failure, and I was told she needed to be put to sleep. My cat is a feisty one, and the only thing to save her would be an extremely invasive IV treatment. I knew she would never let that happen, so I agreed that it was probably best to put her down. When I went to see her the next afternoon, the vet, Dr. Ward, told me that there was one treatment that he would like to try. It was extremely remote chance, but it was worth a try. The treatment is called VOM, or Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation, which is non-invasive, much like chiropractic treatment. The doctor put her on a regular treatment and after just a month, her kidneys were functioning much more normally. It has been a year and a half since she was first diagnosed and she only goes to treatments every 8 weeks. The price is comparable to other vets. Dr. Ward is very friendly and explains everything in detail. The staff is very nice and, even though I'm only in there every few weeks, they remember me and know my cat. I feel very welcomed there. My cat was prescribed a lot of preventative medication, and I'm not 100% sure that it's needed. I think Dr. Ward just wants to be safe, but I cannot afford all the medication he's prescribed. Her survival doesn't hinge on the medication, so I forgone that. Dr. Ward is one of the few doctors that in the DFW area, so he is worth visiting. Many cat and dog ailments are cured with VOM. If your vet doesn't know what to do for your pet, it's worth calling Plano Animal Clinic. Dr. Ward just might be able to save your pet's life the way he saved mine.
