After moving to Houston from New Orleans I was in need of a new hair stylist. I tried four different salons in Houston and could not get the results I wanted. I thought about going back to New Orleans for my color every 6 weeks?that is until I found Ashley at Astaire! I was pleasantly surprised by Ashley?s ability to consistently deliver naturally looking highlights. Since going to Ashley I have received tons of complements (even one from another colorist)! The salon is very welcoming and each client is made to feel special and unique. Ashley is very giving of her time and will make every accommodation necessary to get you in at the time that is right for you. I am very happy to have found Ashley and now when I am in New Orleans I can visit with family and friends instead of worrying about getting my hair done.

Ashley did my hair for my wedding, I absolutely loved it! She works wonders with hair. Not only is Ashley great, all of the staff are wonderful too! It's like escaping to a modern small town in the middle of the bustling big city. You won't be disappointed at Astaire!

I have only had my hair done by Ashley, and I am so glad I found her! She really knows hair and what kind of cut, style and products your hair needs. I had been to two highly-rated places and neither of them could make my hair brown (how hard is brown?!). I gave both places more than one chance, but my hair always ended up red.
Ashley has made all the difference. The first time she colored my hair, it was an attractive brown color. We have worked together tweaking the color and it is perfect! She honestly told me that my last haircut was bad and she could not totally fix it with one cut. I have had a few haircuts and coloring there and my hair keeps looking better and better. I love it!
Ashley also cares about the environment and uses excellent natural, organic products. The ambience at Astaire is friendly and comfortable, everyone is helpful, and the service is great. I don't plan to go anywhere else! I highly recommend Astaire.

I've known Ashley all of her life! I've watched her practice hairdo's on her Dad as a child, experiment with color on her sister, move to Dallas to go to school and finally opening her own salon! Ashley is so dedicated to giving her clients that perfect look, the one that says, "Where did you get your hair done?"
I know I will always have a great experience! I travel from Dallas as often as possible to get my hair done by Ashley! And yes, she still does her Dad's hair! It's how it should be!

I've been going to Ashley for about 7 years now. I followed her to Astaire and refuse to go anywhere else, even when I've had to drive 45 minutes or more. She's seen me through practically all of the stages of life in the last 7 years - a new boyfriend turned fiance, a bride who couldn't decide WHAT to do with her hair, a newlywed who was ready for something short and sassy, and now a new mommy who needed something to make her feel attractive when nothing else would. I trust Ashley infinitely and would recommend her talents to anyone looking for a true stylist (and friend!).

I have been a client of Astaire Salon (Bonnie) for many years. I have followed this team Ashley, Bonnie and Julia, the "Terrific Trio" and been very pleased with the results.
Check out the web site for Astaire Salon. Not many salons have a website and this affirms their professionalism.
If Bonnie is out of town, both Ashley and Julia have cut/color/style my hair and amazing results. You can't go wrong with any of the ladies. It is very reassuring and you always get expectional results. A safe bet in Vegas.

Ashley is my hairdressser at Astaire Salon. She is always flexible with my demanding schedule, always on time, patient with my needs and makes me look and feel like a queen!!!! I have been going to her for over five years and there never is a time where I am not satisfied!!!!

I relocated to Houston from Michigan 10 mos. ago. Now, to the hair discussion-my hair is fine, not thick, been this way all my life. Well, always struggled with good style, color and highlights help the body, and as years passed, I had to go shorter for a more vibrant shape and ?poof?..but, never too short!
I research and selected this salon, wanted style, but not ?glitz?, professional, clean, but full and could be pretty, and fun, not ?stupid?, conservative, but really glamerous and easy to care for day to day, looks good, healthy..etc?BOTTOM LINE, AS THE ?FUN? ACCOUNTANT/CONTROLLER, I AM, I WANTED IT ALL!!!
This place is truly the ultimate?upscale, SIMPLE CHIC, CLASSY..AND DOWN-TO EARTH, the ?old-fashion interest in the client?, the expertise beyond belief?I took in some pictures?ideas, .. LET ME TELL YOU, THIS SALON DELIVERED EVERYTHING I WANTED FROM ABOVE?..
After appt., I went shopping, doing laundry, and looking, fluffing; playing with hair?I did not even want to remove my make-up because I could not believe this was me in the mirror.
Share with you?only because I researched and found this salon?-with Houston humidity, from MI. I am so happy.
I always observe the other clients?l different hair textures, color; reasons for visit?.every person had beautiful hair when the stylists were finished. And, I observe the clients? reactions and expressions-all were truly pleased.
I do not know these people..read the ad, saw the video, did research online, and choose. Worth 110%+ of the effort online!!! I will be a client of these professionals for life. Great people, and from a client services basis, the best result I have had in life, both service, quality of visit, and my ?NEW? HAIR!!
At least, give them one try?believe me, you will be happy!

I got a Brazilian Keratin Treatment done with Ashley and it is fantastic. It is everything I hoped it would be and more. I'm convinced Ashley can do anything if she can tame my wild locks!! The salon itself is awesome too, quiet but not boring, quaint but not plain, it's. . .practically perfect in every way.

Your big day is one of the biggest milestones you experience in life. You are the center of attention and of every photo which makes choosing a hairstylist one of the most important decisions you'll make (of the gazillion) for that day. Look no further! Ashley from Astaire Salon is very professional and very knowledgeable. She colored my hair for the bridal portraits three weeks before the wedding and at the wedding, she did such a great job that it looked much more recent. In fact, two months later, it still looks great! The icing on the cake? She is such a positive person and VERY relaxed! When you are stressed, tired, and nervous about trusting the day to vendors - it's the best thing to be around relaxed professionals you can trust! Thanks Ashley! See you again soon! :o)

Finally! It can be very difficult to find a "home" when it comes to salons and stylists. Astaire not only has great accomadating staff (evening appts. available as well), but the quality of the work is excellent. I have blond hair and am thrilled to find someone who not only understands color (and the right color/tone for you personally), but also to have a stylist who gives truthful and informative advice. The salon is not loud, there isn't any "drama;" it's just great service and a classy welcoming environment. Ashley did my cut/color, but from what I gathered, her and the other stylists have been together for a while and are quite talented as well. I really hope you go and check it out!

My wife has been going to see Ashley and her team for years now and had always asked me to try it out. Knowing that my wife is always happy with the outcome (which is not easy to do) I decided to give it a try and was extremely satisfied with the results.

I have what stylists call ?crazy? hair and found myself usually going with shorter cuts because it is easier to manage on my end and I can usually get an Ok result from the stylist. After my first visit to Astaire I found that Ok results are not good enough anymore. I?m sure all men have had a moment where they walk out of a salon with a thought of ?what did that person do to my hair? but that will not happen at Astaire. Ashley and her team gave me the confidence to grow my hair longer and try new looks. I have so much confidence that I can walk in and ask the stylist to be creative and to do what they think would look good. After every visit I walk out satisfied.

My world of Ok haircuts is over thanks to Astaire.

To the women, not only will you have an excellent experience but your men will as well.

I have been going to Ashley for several years now, and she always finds a way to get me in. I am so busy, with such a tough schedule, that I don't have time to pre-book. I've almost never had a problem getting in with her because even when she has NOTHING, she finds time for me -- not to mention that the result of her work is great! The salon is relaxed and easy, which really beats having to go to a big, snooty salon. I get all of the same results that come from a "fancy" (ultra-expensive) salon, through my down-to-earth stylist. I feel like the money I'm spending is affording me the best that's out there. Try her - you'll love it!!

I have been going to Ashley every six weeks for well over a year now. The employees of Astaire are always on time and courteous to all of the clients. They are always complimentary and make you feel welcomed. I fully recommend this salon to anyone looking for a great stylist. Wether you have an old style you are comfortable with or you are looking for a totally new you, this is the place to go.

I've been going to Ashley for several years. When I decided to make a change in style, she gave me exactly what I wanted and I recieve compliments regularly. Always punctual and friendly. Great location too. I recommend Astaire for anyone looking for a great, reliable salon.

I have been getting my hair cut at Astaire salon for the past three years. I have always received the best service from the stylists and employees. I have never had to wait for my appointment and I am always out of the chair in a timely manner. The salon is right in the middle of Rice Village, a beautiful location, and the inside decor matches the neighborhood. The Stylists are always professional and work wonderfully with their customers. I would recommend this salon to anyone who is looking for a great hair cut and/or color!

Pros: The salon does not have the typical "hair salon" smell. In and out in a timely manner.
