I love this restaurant!!! The food is out of this world. The staff is very nice and we have never gotten any slow service. The food comes out hot and delicious very quickly. I have not had anything on the menu that I did not like. I think it is excellent!

Mi Cocina is definitely my favorite mexican food restaurant in Dallas! I highly recommend the Rico Salad if you're being good and the brisket tacos if you're being bad. The guacamole and salsa are the best in town. The Lake Highlands location has a very fun patio that's kid friendly.

Everything good to say about this place. I've been going here for several years and never had a bad meal or bad service.
For standards, try the #4 or #11. Nachos are good, tacos habana are great. The Lucychanga is a monster; ask for the Cocinachanga if you want shredded chicken instead.
Early evenings are good if you don't feel like waiting in line; later hours produce longer waits. There are usually lots and lots of kids running around, large groups (churches, soccer teams, etc.) and family gatherings.
