I went in, full tune up, asked for fluids and major section just checked on my new used vehicle. They had the decency to give me back my vehicle with more leaks than when it started, not that it had any. They had tightened one of my clamps so tight it had cut through the hose. They didn't put proper filled fluids. I felt like my Jeep was neglected. They didn't do a good job. I would later have to fix the problem shortly after myself and regret ever taking my Jeep there. They did more harm than good. And my pockets lost almost a grand for almost nothing. They will overcharge, mark up, and up sell you something. Find someone else or do it yourself. These Jeeps are remarkably easier to work on than foreign Toyota and Nissan etc but I would say those cars are still better but not easier to work on than Chevy or Chrysler.

Ratings_icons Great place! They know their stuff!

When my wife's 88 Jeep Cherokee had issues, I was able to call Just Jeeps, explain the situation, and they knew exactly what was wrong based only on the year, model, and my description. I took it in and got the best, most friendly service!

Right now I'm out of state and my wife is currently having issues with starting our 98 Jeep Cherokee. I just called Just Jeeps, explained what was going on and, again, they were able to diagnose the problem perfectly. I'm taking the Cherokee in to Just Jeeps for service as soon as I get back.

You won't find a more friendly, more knowledgeable place anywhere in Central Texas. I would recommend this place to anyone who has a Jeep.

Ratings_icons Highly Recommend for Jeep Service

LSJ

My experience with Just Jeeps has been very positive. We have taken a Jeep Wrangler and a Jeep Cherokee to Just Jeeps in the past and found them reliable, honest and they have provided excellent service. We recently purchased another Jeep Cherokee and will not take it anywhere but Just Jeeps for maintenance. The staff is responsive and they treat you fairly. The owner is personally involved in the diagnosis of problems and available to offer advice. I highly recommend Just Jeeps to any Jeep owner.

Pros: Honest, Professional, Knowledgeable

I bought an 89 islander YJ that had some problems. After several attempts, my usually reliable, regular mechanic, was at a loss. They diagnosed the problem over the phone and fixed it right away. Since then I have had extensive and complictaed work done to my Jeep and now it drives and performs exactly as I had imagined when I bought it. I have had a blast this summer in my Jeep and have so much confidence in its performance, I plan to take it on an extensive road trip next spring.

Pros: They can diagnose my problem over the phone.

Ratings_icons Just Jeep ripoff

viapersonalexperience

sad that you can't put a "negative" star on this reiew. I read some of the reviews & found it funny how the Positive reviews are from jeep addr's to a Jeep Mechanic Shop while the rest of the reviews seem to be from legit consumers & negative. BUT i thought, maybe the negative reviewers were just bitter so I went anyways, TO MY MISTAKE. I went to have my jeep Grand Cherokee checked as it overheats in rush hour traffic & the so called Jeep experts quoted me over $600 to get my jeep fixed, when I declined they charged me $86.++ for looking at it. I took it to another mechanic (I wont say the name as i'm not here to promote) who after looking at it ( I didn't tell them what Just Jeeps told me as i wanted to see what they said & quoted me on their own) told me what the problem was & offered to fix it for $120, HUGE difference from the $600 the Jeep "experts" wanted to charge me and almost the same amount they charged me just to look at it this other mechanic fixed it!!!! Just Jeeps are experts alright, in overcharging you. I've learned to shop around when looking for mechanic work & Just Jeeps is one place I would never recomend to anyone via MY personal experience.

Pros: there are none via my experience

Cons: they overcharge you

Ratings_icons Best Jeep Service I have found in Austin so far.

RedJeep2

I have used Just Jeeps for 3 yrs. now and I would highly recommend them to any Jeeper. They always answer the phone, answer all of my questions, consistantly come in or under the repair estimate and have always delivered my Jeep when promised. I have had both motor mounts replaced, transmission mount replaced, u joints, complete tune-up, brake job, fuel tank gasket and hoses, battery, pilot bearing, transmission rebuild (AX15) and fron and rear differentials completly serviced. To bad they don't have a shuttle bus. Great folks and Great Service and I would recommend them to any Jeeper.

Pros: Great service, Great value, delivered vehicle on time.

Cons: No shuttle bus or weekend access.

Ratings_icons High prices, dismal service

jakeller

I've been going to Just Jeeps for over 5 years now and was pleased with them until my last experience - maybe they changed management or something in the past year. If I didn't go through a lot of trouble to drop off my Jeep there and need it working before the weekend (another drawback - not open on Sat./Sun.), I would've refused service after the quote and done the work myself. They charged over a 100% markup on an oxygen sensor and over $250 for a brake job that takes about an hour or two for a do-it-yourself-er, and didn't even noticeably adjust the parking brake, which was part of the labor charge. I won't go back!

Pros: can troubleshoot tricky Jeep problems

Cons: expensive, not open on weekends, sometimes bad service

This is a *truly valid Dealer alternative. Just Jeeps staff treated me with respect and approached every level of my repair (The problem two local dealers failed to solve), with professionalism-keeping me informed of each issue encountered. I'll take my Jeep to them for every service needed- with Total confidence! Thanks Just Jeeps.

Pros: Customer Service was Excellent

Cons: No weekend offerings for service

Ratings_icons not going to them again. ever.

tneknem

Hey, jeep specialists! That sounds great...
In the past 26 months i've taken my cherokee to them for 3 seperate problems - a brake caliper, some transmission work, and to replace the cooling system after an overheat. Today only the brake works properly of the three.

The tranny i can't entirely blame on them. It's an older vehicle, so whatever... after all, a grand doesn't go as far as it used to.

My experience with the cooling system is startlingly similar to the other reviewer "horrible service, no quality control" is saying. I initially paid over $800 to get it fixed - water pump, radiator, hoses, flush everything, etc. Take it home and it's still running hot so i take it back in. Another $200 to replace the fan clutch (seriously). Wow, it's still running hot. At this point i gave up rather than keep handing over $200 a pop for them to guess and swap out random engine parts.

Twenty-six months, $2400+, and i'm driving around with the heater on in a car with a slipping transmission and new brake calipers. Guess i should've taken it to the dealership and given these "experts" a pass.

Pros: friendly enough

Cons: didn't really fix much

Ratings_icons Horrible service, no quality control

jmiller2032

I took my Wrangler in for a power steering problem (fluid was leaking), and two other minor problems. They charge $550, which I hear is very steep. But I figured problem solved. Nope.

First, they didn't even re-align the steering column, which I paid them $50 to do. Then a month later the power steering went out again. I took it back and they told me they'll "100%" have it done that day. They didnt. So now it's 5:30, I have no car, and no way of getting home. They didn't care. Finally, the next day, they fix it. $25 for a seal. I'm wondering if that was the problem the whole time.

Even if one were to give Just Jeeps the benefit of doubt that they weren't flat-out screwing me, at the very least their customer service and quality control are horrible.

Pros: None

Cons: Quality of service, Customer service, Very expensive
