West End Marketplace

This business is now closed. It closed about nine months ago. The West End has been in serious decline for about seven years now. There are not many businesses still alive.

Wonderful wonderful place to spend your weekend nights. Great night life, so much to do. You can play miniature golf inside the shopping center, movie theater, arcade, shops and dining. Just so much fun inside the shopping center and outside. Outside they play live music and have great dining spots. Best place to go out for a night on the town.

Unfortunately the West End is generally only occupied by tourists that don't know where else to go. Although unique in its location, The West End isn't where locals hang out. There are a few good restuarant/bars and specialty shops, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go down there and most likely have to pay for parking.

The West End is a great area located on the edge of Downtown Dallas. There's something for everyone: an arcade, sit-down restaurants as well as counter joints, bars and some really unique funky shops. It's a great place to go on a weekend-night when you can't decide what to do. You won't be dissapointed!

The West End Marketplace is a worthwhile night out for locals or visitors. We definitely make this a stop on the DFW tour whenever we have family in town on vacation. Lots of unusual shops that are at the very least fun to browse through.

The whole setup of this place is unique. I remember when I went that the bottom floor was an arcade, the top floor was a movie theater and the middle floors had a mall with lots of different shops. This place has a little of something for everyone. This is a great place to bring the family since it offers such a variety of things to see and to do. Make sure to come and spend the day. Have lunch, see a movie, then check out the arcade or the shops and stay for dinner. By the end of the day you will be worn out and satisfied.

Not only is this a downtown mall with bars and shops - it's your Dallas comedy haven. Improvisational comedy is their in house speciality, having a regular schedule of troupes perform both separately and in competitions on the first floor. I highly recommend the Pavlov's Dogs show ever Friday night at 9:30pm and Middle Management Saturdays at 9:30pm. You won't find groups more expertised in making you laugh. As an added bonus, the theatre has a bar - so you can drink AND laugh, AND have the troupe make fun of your friends. How else would you want to spend a weekend?!

This is a nice easy going place with potential. There's a place to send the kids- the arcadia on the bottom level, and a place to shop for adults. There is also food for your further relaxation. If you have a desire to shop but do not want the major crowds, you must shop at the West End Marketplace.
