The electrician was very professional and nice. I needed a jack installed for my Uverse, and he knew exactly what needed to be done, and did it efficiently.

They have highly professional service reps. Quoted me $2,500 to replace my 200A pannel. Next 2 quotes were both exactly $700. I am going with someone else and they are using the exact same pannel Universal quoted me.

We were very pleased with the service with recieved with Universal Wiring. You have a great company, and a great employee, Larry. He was very energetic and courteous. The price was told to us upfront, and he made sure to clean up where he worked. I really wish some companies were as professional as them.

Eric was thorough in his inspection and assessment of the problem. He was also extremely pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and endlessly patient with all of my questions (even as I interrupted his work with ""one more question""). The work was completed then and there, exactly as promised. We cannot say enough good things about the quality of the work provided by this company and their representative, Eric. We would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone and everyone and will not hesitate to call again, however, given the excellent work he did, it may be a while!

Prompt, friendly, and informative. I have done business with these folks over the years, at first they seemed pricey, but quickly learned that you ""quality service"" doesn't come cheap. What other companies offer in savings on the front side usually results in short cuts that require re-work, more money on the back side. Universal Wiring gets the job done right the FIRST time and they stand behind their work. I highly recommend these folks!

Had no electricity to several plugs, called and made appointment so far so good. Then this guy shows up with his little gray book and even before he does anything, tells me I need a new circuit and it will cost \r
over $1100 dollars. It just gets better! He then tells me \r
that I need a new breaker box and it will cost over \r
$1700 dollars! I told him to leave. \r

Talked with their office in detail about partial power outage and they did NOT WANT to tell you upfront that you can SAVE by going to CenterPoint Energy (CPE) first instead of them. We were charged over $300 for the diagnostics.

Yeah it's a business, but I also called Matthews Electrical, Inc. and their master electrician came to our house FREE of charge, looked at the problem inside and out, then advised us to call CPE to diagnose because they can do it for a fee, but CPE can do it either free if problem was they're fault, or charge $45 if the problem turns out to be on the property owner's side. Which company would you prefer ?

I was completely satisfied with how the work was performed. Universal Wiring gave my home the red carpet treatment, the technician even wore shoe coverings! I will be using these guys again and refering my friends.

Electrical issues in your home can be a little frightening, so it was a relief to have Universal Wiring come out as quickly as they did. The electrician they sent, Eric, was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient -answering all questions, and giving me zero BS (no upselling). I had an outlet replaced, and found the price to be very reasonable. Will use them again if there are other issues.

We chose Universal Wiring to help diagnose a simple problem. Turns out a previous contractor had mis-wired a repair! The technician spent over an hour diagnosing the problem and then cheerfully fixed it. Matthew is professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. He is prompt and displays the utmost respect for our home. All potential charges were explained at the beginning, and no work is done before the customer gives approval. He answered all our questions competently. We were impressed with Matt's appearance and competence, as well as his attitude and explanation of what he was to do. It was really nice to have someone who clearly takes pride in his work and enjoys it. I thought the price was reasonable for the quality of the work done. The technician arrived when they said he would, even called when he was on his way to confirm. Answered all my questions, and told me upfront what he was going to do. Fixed my problem completly, and the price wasn't too bad. I will use them again whenever i have another electrical problem.

After I bought my house, a tree knock down my power line. the first electrician I called never showed up. The second electrician I called showed up, took my money and said call the light company and they will hook back up your power. When I called the light company they said I needed a permit. I tried to call the electrician back but he never returned my calls. I called a third electrician- Universal Wiring. They responded the same day. Said the City would require some upgrades such as a ground rod but I could keep my breaker panel. They quoted me $400.00, made the repair and by the time they were done the electric company showed up and hooked my power because Universal Wiring was able to permit the job and expedite it as an emergency. I wish I would have called them the first time!

I called Universal Wiring after trying several electricians who did not show up as promised or tried to sell me a bunch of unnecessary work after they came out to give a ""free"" estimate. Universal Wiring did charge a travel fee of $59 but they told me that on the phone before they came out. The technician was clean cut and professional. He used a pricing guide and showed me the price of the diagnostic before he started. He said the price stayed the same even if it took all night. He did a thorough evaluation of my electrical system and found the problem, which he repaired right then. He said my breaker panel was in decent condition and did not need to be changed out. By using Universal Wiring I spent $ 300 instead of $3000 which is what another electrician wanted to replace the electrical service.
