i brought two large totes full of clothes into the McKinney location. They were unable to go through them at the time, so I went back the next day when my "quote" was ready. They only wanted a few items so I decided I'd just take my chances putting the whole lot on craigslist. When I got home I went back through the clothes to take out some items a friend wanted if I chose not to sell them to OUAC. Only one of the items was still there! Lesson learned..... If you choose to sell your items there, make sure you're present!

I have gone here several times to sell items. I have never bought anything because I have always needed quick cash when I've gone, so I can't give an opinion for buying from them. Selling to them, however, is like others here have said, is a hit & miss experience. I have always taken large amounts with me to sell. The first time, I only got $6 from them. The second, I got $12, the third I got $22 and this last time I only got $10. They do have a quite large inventory, so I think they are able to be as picky as they want when buying. I do like the staff there, with the exception of one lady. She rang me up twice and was quite a "snot" towards me both times. The other times, I was rang up by some one else who was much friendlier. My advice is to go at your own risk, and don't expect too much from them if you are selling.

In a nutshell, I will ONLY SHOP here again when I'm DESPERATE and I will NEVER SELL anything to them again. For my reasons, read on. Otherwise, have a great day! : )
After only buying/selling from/to the Kid 2 Kid stores in Collin County (see http://www.kidtokid.com/locations.php to find the stores nearest you), I thought I'd spread my stock a little further and try this OUAC, located so close to my mom's house. I had two brand new items that had never been opened and a hard-to-find-used Snap 'n Go stroller. Two of the items were immediately rejected by the salesgirl as being "not popular" items and for the brand new item that sells at Target for $30, they gave me $10. Too say I was mildly shocked is an understatement. Before I decided to sell at OUAC, I called the two closest K2K stores and asked if they were interested in the items and they BOTH were happy to take them! I would've taken my third item and just walked out of the store if I hadn't already found a pair of shoes I liked for my DD. Speaking of the shoes - they are all kept in large Rubbermaid bins, organized by size. Hmm... is that why I found my DD's size 8 shoes in the fifth tub I looked in once I realized that the shoes were ALL mixed up?
The girls working here are obviously teenagers from the closest high school (whose economic demographic predisposes them to NEVER having to buy "used" anything!). They were all standing or sitting behind the counter the entire time talking and appeared to be inconvenienced when I decided to check out. (They all just looked at each other when I put my stuff down and one finally jumped up. Thanks!)
As far as their stock goes, it's nothing extraordinary, and in fact, I was surprised at how expensive their prices were (again, compared to their competitor) and how few truly "cute" items they had. I guess I'm just not the type of consumer that goes by store/brand name alone and let's face it, some of the stuff that comes from the fancier children's stores AIN'T that cute!
Once at Once Upon a Child was enough for me!

You are better off selling your items in a garage sale or donating to charity and collecting the write off, you'll make far more money that selling to this place. Rude is an understatement.

Unless you are desperate for quick cash, do not take your items there to sell...do not expect a reasonable offer. I went to sell them items that were BRAND NEW...with tags...everything from toys to shoes to clothes, brand names...they bought most of it, but for a very LOW offer price. Down right ridiculously low price. For over $500 retail in items, they offered me only $35.00!!!! I will not sell to them again. I can do better selling at a garage sale or even on ebay, even after auction fees! It might be a little more work, too, but at least I know for a fact that I'll average more than $1.66 per item!!!! Gosh, I don't even want to think about what they might pay for my used/gently-worn articles of clothing...

I read the reviews prior to writing my own, and finally decided to say that shopping at a used clothing store is different every day....even with the people there. I had gone there twice now. The first time I check out in my baseball cap, no makeup (!!) and got stared down. The second time, I was treated very well ~hence I was put together. The lady that checked me out was so sweet and fun to talk to. Now I shouldn't have to get dressed up to go shopping to get good service, but this is a fact ladies. I have seen and been subject to it time and time again. Rambling on, the store is great for play clothes (especially for boys!!) Prices are great. The one problem that I did find that bothered me was the fact that there was no changing room. I still believe that a consignment store should have one. There are rude people in the world that's a fact. Hang your head high and happy shopping!!

I have been to this Once Upon a Child to sell twice and they are very unfriendly and unwilling to work with you in any way. I went ahead and sold stuff to them the first time, but they were just down right rude to a lady that came in there to pick up her check. Today I went back and drove from McKinney to sell them stuff. They told me it would be a 5 hour wait, very ubruptly, and I said it was fine that I would just leave them and come back tomorrow. She said that if they were done before close today, that they'd call and I'd HAVE to come back and get them before close! It was 3:15 pm when I went in there. She said I needed to wait around for 5 hours and if they didn't get to me in the those 5 hours that they'd get to it tomorrow and I'd have to come back tomorrow to get them. Very irrational. Guess they don't need the business and they let you know that! So, I told them I wouldn't be back and I'm taking my business to another consignment shop that is more friendly and has less attitude. I wouldn't give anyone business that acts like that. They act like they work for the IRS and life is horrible!

Once Upon A Child is a place that buys used items for babies such as clothes, toys, furniture and so on, and you can also sell those to the store. Instead of cash they will give you store credit, so you can get stuff that your baby needs with it. If you want to sell, you'd better call in advance and set up an appointment.

This is a store that accepts your gently used baby and child items - ranging from clothes to furniture. They have a good selection and the lay out is good. Items can be pricey though for the quality.

Once Upon a child is a great place to buy used baby items such as clothes, cribs, swing, toy, and just about anything thing related to babies. This is also a consignment store, so it's also a great place to sell your children clothes, toys, and any other baby items. You will get more for your money than trying to sell it at a garage store. As any consignment store goes, it's a hit & miss thing. So be sure to check them every once in a while.
