This is one of my favorites! Thoughtful presentation, delicious food, pleasing atmosphere. Something for everyone in every price range and the filet was the best I have ever had... I still dream of it sometimes... try the bruschetta appetizer... one of my cravings!! Don't miss this place!!
Pros: Steak!, stone fired pizza, wine list
We've been to Jasoh a couple of times by ourselves and with family, and the place has delivered, even pleasing my incredibly picky folks.
The food is fresh, well seasoned and served hot. The preparation takes a bit of time but it's well worth it and it is expected that things are prepared to order not pre-fabbed at a place like this. Prices are very reasonable, and sign up for their program where you get coupons in the mail and it's quite affordable.
Decent selection of libations, good wait staff, tasty desserts and food.
Pros: Quality food, well prepared and seasoned
Cons: Building isn't real impressive outside. Yeah, nitpicky, eh?
After reading several positive reviews about Jasohs, we decided to go there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We heard that the restaurant received awards for the best steak in Utah and also scored high for a special occasion...well the steak was "good". Not the best, but it was good. The pasta dish was downright poor. After one bite we both decided to move the dish aside and shared the steak between the two of us. The service was also less than desirable. The waiter asked us how the meal wsa before we really had time to taste all that was on our plates, and then after setting my wife's meal aside it stood there for the remainder of the meal. No offers were made by the waiter to get a new dish, and we were surprised that no adjustment was made to the tab. The restaurant itself is quaint and nice, and definitely doesn't lack character. However, they ought to rid themselves of the annoying plastic cubes on the tables with drink specials...leave that to fast food chains. Overall, I'd say the place is below average for the price...
Pros: The open kitchen and food presentation
Cons: The service, pasta
25th street is supposedly the place to eat in Ogden, but Jasoh is by far the best restaurant in town. A total gem with funky, elegant decor, friendly staff, excellent old jazz or beautiful live guitar as background music... And the food is fabulous. I have tried most of the menu and have yet to find something that I don't really like. The food is imaginative, fresh, beautifully presented and above all delicious. I whole heartedly recommend Jasoh as the place for young, creative, sophisticated and completely delicious food and atmosphere.
Pros: An open kitchen and waitress prep, so there are no secrets there. All clean, all professional.
My husband and I visit Jasoh often. We are always impressed with the wonderful service, and attention to detail. I think we have had the same server every time! The food is excellent, and there is never a wait to get in (that is until everyone discovers what a gem this place is). The decor is tasteful and yet a little funky, with great ambience. I would not hesitate to recommend Jasoh to anyone looking for a flavorful and unique dining experience.
Pros: great parking, great service, great food
Cons: a more extensive wine list would make this place even better
Jasoh's has become our favorite restaurant. The dishes are unique, presented exquisitely, but most importantly, delicious. I'm suprised that they aren't always packed -- but that is good because we have been able to be seated without reservations! Definitely worth the visit.
Pros: Great atmosphere with open kitchen so you can watch the chefs
Jasoh's is the best restaurant in Ogden. The food is prepared to perfection and the presentation is spectacular. The filet is always prepared with a wonderful sauce as are the seafood specials. The finishing touch is the dessert tray. Have tried them all and they are all my favorites. The staff is very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. If you want to have a special evening this is the place to go.
I highly recommend Jasoh for dinner. The steaks are out of this world and the chocolate bodino is to die for. I've eaten at Jasoh numverous times and I've been delighted with great pork, chicken, and seafood in addtion to the outstanding steaks. I used to dread entertaining out of town clients in Ogden becasue of the lack of good restaurants. Now when I entertain in the evening I always choose Jasoh. The atmosphere is great and the food is wonderful. Many of my out of town visitors have even asked if we could go back to Jasoh because they enjoyed it so much the first time.
While I hesitate to mention anything negative, I must say that lunch at Jasoh is a different story. I don't know if they use a different chef at lunch but the few times I've tried lunch I've never had a great dining experience.
Skip lunch but enjoy a fabulous dinner.
Thanks Jasoh for providing a great evening atmosphere and wonderful food that Ogden has been sorely missing.

Pros: Excellent Food, Great Atmosphere
Cons: Poor Lunch
This is an excellent place for a relaxed quiet dinner. Service is great and the food is excellent. Everything we have tried from the iron pan chicken to the filet has been just lovely.
Pros: excellent food
This place is GREAT! The food is always superb and the sevice is unmatched. Try the Strawberry-Banana Beer next time your in! Truly a delightful place.
When Jasoh's first opened, we dined there often, being patient while the kinks were being worked out. However, we found that the wait staff changed often, and it seemed as if, we, the diners, were helping to train them. Reminding them to get the bread, drinks, etc. Some of them appeared very nervous, afraid to make a mistake. Time has past and things have improved. If you have not been to Jasoh's in a while, give them another try. The food is consistently good and seems to be always warm now. The wine list is great and they are very accommadating with our kids. I love the new bread. Wishes would be that they put salt and pepper on the table, be prompt with the drinks, allow Jason to mingle with the diners, and be receptive to diners suggestions. It goes back to the customer is always right, even if that means giveing away a free meal!!
Thanks for sticking it out, your place is great!
Pros: Steaks, pizza
Cons: having to ask for salt and pepper shakers
Jasoh's is THE place to go! The cuisine is amazing---nobody does sauces like Chef Jasoh. The atmosphere is friendly and accommodating; Jason and Shana are the best at making you feel welcome. We have been devoted customers since their opening and think of it as "our" place. Once you've tried it, Jasoh's will become your favorite place---it is ours!
Pros: Food is the best in town
My husband & I have been to Jasoh's four times so far & have been more than pleased. The parking is easy to get to, always felt welcomed & the food outstanding. The only thing that you need help on is your neon sign. You cannot see it well when traveling north on Harrison Blvd. Keep up the good work your doing.
I love to take my girfriends to Jasoh for a nice romantic dinner. Thay are always impressed with the decor and service. The food always impresses them as well. There aren't many restaurants like this one in Russia where I am from. I hope Jasoh is hear for a long time!
Pros: Quiet.Great selection!nice beverage list!
Cons: There isn't a location in Moscow!
My husband and I ate here a few months ago and loved it, we have recommended it to all our friends and can't wait to go back. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. The menu is amazing with so many great choices it was hard to choose. We were impressed at how great the prices were too. We will for sure go back to this restaurant.
Pros: Great food, service was prompt and prices are great.
Cons: None maybe restaurant a little dark but that makes it romantic!!
I LOVE this restaurant. My food has always been delicious and between my husband and I, we have tried nearly everything on the menu. The staff is always attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is fabulous and allows for an intimate evening. I am always excited to receive the e-newsletter with specials and updates. Overall, Jasoh is a great place to enjoy an evening out.
Pros: Great food, ambience, staff...everything!
Cons: I wish they were still open for lunch!
I often visit Jasoh for personal use and also to conduct my business. This is a great place to take someone special and show them a good time. The service is one of the best I have seen in this area, I am more then pleased to give a good review on this restaurant and would recommend it to anyone.
Pros: Great Atmosphere
Great building and good parking. The food is full of flavor and well worth the experience. They have a good variety for any taste, from salads to pizzas, pastas to duck. Prices can't be beat for the dishes offered. Proof that you don't have to go downtown for good food, and I've never had to wait for a seat. I just wish I had a salad fork.
Pros: Selection, atmosphere
Cons: Not much else around
My husband took me to Jasoh to celebrate my birthday this year. I had not experienced Jasoh before, but was pleasantly surprised by the peaceful, quiet atmosphere and the unique menu choices. We had a very relaxing dinner with great food and quiet conversation. I really enjoyed this restaurant and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing place to dine. Thanks Jasoh.
Pros: Quiet atmosphere, unique menu choices, friendly service
After three visits, I felt like I had a new home. I often visit the area and discovered Jasoh's and now always stop because I feel welcomed. The Steaks are every bit as good as Flemings and other big places.
Jasoh is unique! The service is as good as it gets! They have delicious food-and always great specials. Don't let the wording on the menu scare you away-it's a little fancily worded. The Claypots are my absolute favorite! They always send coupons and special offers which I love so sign up for their coupon list. They have wonderful appetizers. They have this oil and vinegar dip for bread that is so yummy and fortunately you can buy it right their in the restaurant. My husband and I went through a bottle of the oil and vinegar in less than a month. It's addicting. I've never had anything on the menu that I didn't love. You've got to try it!
Pros: service, food, selection
Cons: makes for a long night-can be slow when busy
Jasoh is a refreshing change from the average chain restaurant in Ogden. Great food great service and great atmosphere.
We love Jasoh because their service is great! Every time we walk in the door we are greeted with a smile! All of their employees are always so nice and they are very prompt with their service. Their food is awesome and is always presented so well!! We love Jasoh and we couldnt ask for a better restaurant in Ogden!!!
Pros: Great service and friendliness
We loved the food, very flavorful and different from your normal chain restaurants and steak houses. And best of all, hardly any noise. For the first time, my husband and I didn't have to yell to hear each other. We greatly enjoyed their passion fruit lemonade, which doesn't compare to any lemonade anywhere else. I personally fell in love with their wonderful balsamic vinegar and was glad to buy a bottle to take home.
Pros: Food, Ambiance, Service
Great service, great ambience, great food. Nice to know there is some place unique where you can enjoy fine dining, quiet atmosphere, excellent food. We have always had interesting and delectable meals here.
Pros: service, ambience, interesting and unique variety of foods
Cons: needs colder beer
My boss took me there for christmas dinner last year and she paid alot of money for a dinner that was tastless and bland! Neither of our meals were any good Im very soo\rry to say because I had always thought it lookied like a nice place to eat... I have heard this from many others as well and will definitely never dine there again!
Sincerely Jennie and Kim from Forget Me Not Consignment So Ogden
We were excited to see a new restaurant in Ogden and hoped that it would be a place that we would enjoy. Jasoh's has not disappointed us at all. We enjoy going there about once a month. The food is great. The chef is the king of sauces. It has a great atmosphere and great service. We are glad that there is a fine dining restaurant to visit in the south end of Ogden.
I have visited this restaurant several times and have not only had good food, but excellent service as well. Even on busy nights, you are seated ASAP and the servers go out of their way to take care of you. The food is great, especially the steaks and the cast iron-pan meals. I think that Jasoh is one of the best restaurants in the Weber County/ Ogden area.
Pros: Great food and incredible service
Cons: None that I have found--
I wanted to go somewhere special on my birthday and we ended up at Jasoh. I never would have believed that a wood burning oven could make such a difference. Boy was I wrong. The salmon that I had was perfect. The mango tapenade was a perfect accompanyment to the smoky flavors of the wood oven. My husband had a filet mignon, and said it was the best He has ever eaten. They have these incredible demi-glaze sauces that are truly unmatched in Utah. All of the desserts sre made in house, and the Tiramisu is heaven. I can't imagine someone having a bad experience at this place. If you are skeptical they offer a 100% moneyback guarantee if you aren't well taken care of. Who else does that!!!Jasoh Rocks.
Pros: Upscale service and ambience! Great beer and wine selection! Open Kitchen!
Cons: closed Sunday.
This is my favorite restaurant. I love the short wait. I love the quiet atmosphere so friends can talk. And I love the food! They offer a variety with their menu and their prices are reasonable especially when you compare it to this calibre of food. Chef Jasoh uses such delectable sauces that you will want to eat all your vegetables. I have never seen a restaurant try so hard to please its customers and to prepare such exquisite dishes. Save room for dessert because their berries foster and chocolate boudini are wonderful!
Pros: food and everything
Cons: I get a little cold (better than too hot though)
Went here on a 2-for-1 coupon. We were very impressed with our waiter - down to earth and knew the menu well. The menu has an okay selection. I can be picky sometimes and so I'll just order the steak. It was a great steak! My wife had a chicken item and loved it. Everything tasted great. The atmosphere seemed somewhat dark but our table was well lit. I would certainly return again.
Pros: Good Food, Waiter was down to earth
Cons: Darkly lit, might seema bit too expsensive
My wife and I discovered Jasoh's earlier this year. We feel Ogden has been missing a resteraunt of this caliber and are very glad to have it here now. The service is always excellent and the food is what I expect to get in a five star resteraunt.
We always each get a salad, share an appetizer, share an entree, and each get a dessert. The specials are always a good bet! Shana Hess always makes time to visit the table and chat about the food and current events.
They have a great wine list and also some unique beers. I especially like the Butterscotch Beer. One of our favorite specials has been the seafood IronPot Jasoh. If they have it, get it. It is delicious.
Jasoh's is definitely the best resteraunt I have tried in Ogden!
Pros: The entire dining experience is awesome!
Cons: No mixed drinks or hard alcohol
Finally, a fresh new alternative to the same ol' thing. Offering a wide variety of mouth watering menu choices. If quality is high on your list of expectations, this is the place for you! We found the service to be nothing short of exceptional. Portion sizes were plentiful with some left to take home.
Pros: High quality food, friendly, fine dining experience
Jasoh is one of the best restaurants in Ogden. There are so few of them here. The variety of what is offered is excellent. Service has been outstanding every time we have gone there. We don't eat out much as quality of food is very important to us. Jasoh has that quality. Nothing is rushed, everything is cooked just right. Even our teenage boys enjoy eating there. Imagine that! The rating for Jasoh's is so wrong. It deserves a higher rating, very much so. It is a great place to just go out and have very good food. It isn't noisy and busy, and we appreciate that. That is the only way to enjoy a meal.
Pros: food quality, ambience, service
Cons: parking, but they can't do much about that
We went in to this restaurant for a nice meal tonight.
We were not only met with inexperience but we also received attitude with that.
The portions were very small, the meal had no flavor, and it was overpriced.
When my wife asked for additional sauce for her filet ménage and myself asking for salt and pepper, due to the lack of taste, they scoffed at us but yet did it for us anyway.
Not even half way threw our meal they were trying to push dessert on us, even though we knew we were not going to be full we did not get the dessert.
After rejecting dessert they brought us the the check, as if to say we are done with you now!
In summery, I would not even recommend this restaurant to someone I dislike immensely, that would be to cruel.
Pros: None, None, None
Cons: Bad Service, No taste, Over Priced
