I've eaten at Cafe Trang a few times and each time I've gone, I went with an open mind and tried different dishes. People always rave at how good it is, and personally, I just think it's "okay."
I've had the sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, General Tso's chicken, and a dandan noodle bowl. Each of these different entrees were good, but not out of this world good. To me, they just taste like any other Chinese restaurant I've been to.
The service here is hit or miss. The last few times I've been, it has been borderline miss. I had to ask for a refill by flagging down my waitress. Prices for entrees seem average when comparing them to other places in the same category.

I love their lemon chicken, all of their food is extremely good though, I love coming here for dinner, great atmosphere for dates, or for any occasion.

Cafe Tran has authentic chinese food and mouth watering dishes. Their sweet and sour chicken is to die for. They have great customer service and are conveniently located in the Cottonwood mall. Shopping and great food is a wonderful combination. If you like chinese; this is the place!

This is the "go to" spot for me when I don't feel like cooking at home and I want something fast, tasty and reasonably healthy. I also don't mind seeing the friendly people who work at Cafe Trang. This is a great place both for eating in or take out. Service is fast and friendly and the food comes two minutes after you order. Try the vermicelli dishes--i.e. authentic Vietnamese dishes lathered in curry, or the chicken with lemon grass is exceptional. The starters are good--fresh spring rolls and potstickers are satisfyingly good. Besides Vietnamese dishes there are also Chinese options available, though I don;t believe those are nearly as good. For the beer drinkers there's some great Squatter's selections including Vienna and Pale Ale. Wine is minimal.
PROS: service is efficient
