Worst experience EVER!! The girls were all really nice but that is the only nice thing I have to say about it. Not all of the girls are fully trained so if you want anything but a regular mani/pedi good luck. that includes french, acrylic ect. I was there for 5 hours, it should never take that long for a mani/pedi. My mani which was acrylic started breaking that week and my pedi was chipped by that night and I have never had that problem before. The french tips for everyone in the group were uneven and not good. my nails had bubbles in them which I've never seen happen before. It was a VERY STRESSFUL experience and I would NEVER recommend the same for anyone else. Please go somewhere else so you can actually get good service.
We purchased the mani pedi deal from groupon. We had about ten girls get them done and if scheduling the appointment to fit us in wasn't stressful enough (even tho we scheduled it three months in advanced) the appointment took us almost 4 hours because they scheduled a bunch of other ones around the same time even though we let them know we would have ten girls. I got nails done at one but didn't even get seated for my pedicure until after 4:15pm. I am actually writing this review while I sit here hoping to be able to start my pedi soon instead of spending an entire day at a salon. One of the girls in our party even had to leave because it was taking so long. We pointed it out a few times and while they did apologize other people continued to get seated before me. To top it all off I do not feel like the quality was there as well.y nails were subpar and I'm glad this is was purchased through a groupin as I would never have wanted to pay full price for this service. The intention of this review I not to trash the salon but to let others be aware of the expierience we had here. And edit to my review: I was finally seated for a pedi at 4:40pm after we talked to them about the wait yet again. I ended up being there from 1 pm until after 5pm. It was rediculous to be there for four hours the day before my sisters wedding and have a stressful expierence (when this should have been relaxing) just because they over booked and did not schedule appointments well.

This was my first experience getting a pedicure and unfortunately it was not a pleasant one. I subsequently got an infection in my big toe which required the doctor having to cut half my toenail off in order to drain the infection and was on antibiotics for 10 days. This whole ordeal was not only painful, but very expensive. I contacted the salon to notify them about what had happened, and the response I got from their receptionist was "What do you expect us to do?" At this point I did not have an answer to that question, other than to let the owner know about it and to call me. I left my name and number, but never heard from anyone again.

This is a great salon. I have been there three times now and each time the service is great, the staff very friendly, and the prices are the best in town. This last time, I was hesitant to get my long hair chopped after spending so much time growing it out, but I knew it had to be done. I was wearing it up in a bun 99% of the time. Doing her best to navigate through my indecision, she gave me a nice clean bob and styled it just like the magazine photo I brought in. Well needless to say after the styling had worn out and I lived a week in the cut, I knew I wanted a more extreme chop. So I went back in and without any hint of frustration she very kindly spent a whole hour reworking my cut! The results were an edgier bob with great bangs. I get compliments constantly :)

Came here for a mani/pedi and right off the bat I was impressed with their selection of nail polish and colors - they carries OPI which has my favorites. Everyone is also very personable and make you feel very comfortable. Most importantly, Alyssa did an AMAZING job getting everything nice and pretty! She takes her time, so don't expect it to be like one of those chop shops, but I assure you that you will feel pampered, and your mani/pedi will last a long time.

I've been going to this salon for about a year and it has been my favorite place to get my hair and nails done. It is the friendliest environment and the stylists make sure they do your hair to your want/needs. If there were any reason you didn't absolutely LOVE your hair this salon will make sure that the changes necessary for your happiness to be met. The owner is always thinking of others, she wants everyone to be happy and wants business to go well. If you haven't already please stop by to see how you like it. My or anyone else??s opinion can't determine weather you like it or not so go see for yourself.

I loved the hair cut that I got from here. I left it all in the stylist hands. All I asked for was an easy manageable style. That's exactly what I got. I have a really different cut than what I would have chosen, and I love it.

I have read the reviews on here and would completely disagree. I had a question about pulling towels out of the hamper so I did what adults normally do...used my mouth and asked the question. Turns out, they were all clean towels. I do this for my own laundry -take it to the mat in my hamper and take it home in the hamper.
As for the bowls, they said they use metal bowls because they are more sanitary. Again, instead of saying gross, I looked it up. Turns out they are. Those cheaper places use plastic bowls. I prefer sanitary.
Now on to the staff. Great Great Great! They are so kind and welcoming. They remember who you are and details about you so it is just fun going in.
The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was that I did have a problem with my polish chipping after a couple of days, but that is just a day or two shorter than other places. Nails chip. Deal with it people.
I would and do recommend this place. All you nay-sayers, ask questions first and if there is no response or a bad response, then complain.

I hate to say it, but this was truly the worst pedicure and manicure I've ever had. For what is advertised as a $55 service -- I wonder if it;s because I purchased a certificate from Groupon. Won't go there again and certainly won't recommend to anyone else.

I like this place. I've been getting my haircut there now for 3 months in a row. The owner, Teresa, always does a great job and for a fair price. For example, when she only uses a clipper, she doesn't charge me the full price. Mid-City is also a big supporter of the arts. I happened to mention a fundraiser I was involved and I was given a terrific gift certificate to auction. I would recommend this place highly!

My Grandmother frequents the Mid City Salon that is located in downtown Salt Lake City. I usually take her to her appointments and wait for her while the magic is being worked. She usually goes for a trim and a perm. The stylist will then style it and set it. When my Grandmother is done, she looks like a million bucks! The staff is very friendly and they take their time with her. I really appreciate it and they have earned my loyalty.

Very happy with my service. The owner did my color and chatted like we were friends - made me feel confortable - I hate trying new salons! Very happy with my color, She spend the time it took to get it right! She actually cared! I will be going back, very close to my office and easy to work with my schedule.
Great service! My cut and color was perfect.! Everyone was so happy. They made me fell like a friend. it was so convienent to get there. I walk from Trax and next time I'll bring my wife and hit some restraunts afterwards.
Staff was very friendly, however, what a disappointment. Was looking forward to my pedicure manicure, but was very surprised by the poor hygiene. It was horrific, dirty filled foot bowls in the bathroom. One towel for feet and nails, forty minutes for both procedures. No top coat - base coat put on either fingers nor toes, nails chipped within two days. Hands and feet looked better before I went in. Sad experience. Would NOT recommend for pedicure or manicure.
They made me feel so welcomed. Really awesome people. Great personalities. They do beautiful hair and nail work. Everyone should come here.
Pros: They always have a smile.

Pros: AMAZING hair stylist.
Your stylist will be late and extremely unprofessional. Your color will be uneven at best and horribly botched at worst. The towel used on your hair is very likely to have been used on another person before you... having been pulled out of the dirty towel hamper. The owner may not even be certified to cut hair and some how manages to stay one step ahead of the governing body that is supposed to protect us from women like her. Spend your money elsewhere!!
Pros: none
Cons: Dirty, Unskilled, Overpriced, No Parking,
