These people will truly step it up for you. For people rebuilding credit as well as people with godo credit, thsi is a place with fast-pased salesguys, a great mantra and that stand by their word. Great selection...although they should have more american cars....fantastic service, not pushy and simply awesome! Need a car? Just go there.

I have been a costumer of lowbook sales for a few years, and have gotten very good service. When it came to buy my car, lowbook salesmen were not pushy, they were sincerely helpful. I can rely on help with whatever I need to buy and service my car. Since purchasing my car I know I can call with any questions and get pointed to the right direction. I also take full advantage of the kid place area to help the waiting time go by faster for the whole
family
Thanks lowbook team. Lilian

I have been coming here for service for years, but needed to help buy my niece her first car. Of course we came here, because of the great experience I had always gotten with service. We had a very small budget, just looking for something driveable as a first car. They went overboard finding us a great deal, made sure the car was fully tuned up, serviced and cleaned. It was like driving away a new car (almost). Best treatment I've ever had on getting into a low cost car and not being pressured into something I couldn't afford. I would recommend highly for sales or service.

I purchased one vehicle from Low Book Sales and it was the most pleasurable experience I have had with a dealership. The staff at Low Book stood by their warranties and followed through with any/all service needs. The service department is the most reliable and reasonable shop in town. I would recommend any car owner to try out the friendly service dept. at Low Book due to their honesty and the thoroughness of the services I have done on my car. I am a loyal customer to Low Book and I would not go anywhere else to have my car serviced or to purchase a new vehicle.

Things I want from a Used Car Dealer:

The car I want
Financing I need
Fast courteous service
Honesty on the history of the car
Professional Service after the sell.

Anything on top of that is just icing on the cake.

Low book hit it on all the things that mattered. Reviews about salesman or price in particular are funny to me sometimes because we all know they are working on commission and can be pushy at times and prices do not fluctuate that much. But one thing is that they are motivated to help you and the price is in line with other retail dealerships. If you want true low book on a car, go to KSL and take your chances with cars that are being sold as is. Being an experienced used car buyer I don't let the over helpfulness and small meaningless tactics to get you into a car bother me, but use it to my advantage to help me, because I have done my research, know my credit, and know in general what someone will or will not finance me for (although Low Book pleasantly surprises me every time I've been there with the financing). Low book has stayed in business for as long as I can remember here for a reason. They get people like me who don't have perfect credit but better than most, and that bring in a modest income into a recent year ('10 Ford Mustang in my case) car I want to buy with bank financing the fits my budget and other people that have bad credit into financing that matches their history with more of a reliable vehicle that they can get down at other used car dealers or flat out get turned down by the big new dealerships with used cars. Amazes me that people I know think that they can get their car repossessed and still pay the same thing that I pay when I go in to get financed, and then get angry with the financing being a higher rate only months after their repo.

While Low Book got everything I expected on the deal they do things I don't expect, like if I were ever to need a tow for any reason, they will do it for free. Have never had to use it, but it is a piece of mind for me living on a budget.

They pulled a Car Fax history on the vehicle to show me for free.

They'll let me take it back for an exchange for 7 days if I change my mind and there is a warranty for 3000 miles or 45 days warranty on top of my manufacturers warranty.

I think it is funny when one might say they had to take a car back to get it fixed, while not fun I think it is a little spoiled. If I bought what turned out to be a car needing additional fixes from KSL classifieds or certain other used dealerships I'd be out of luck. A chance I have taken before and have been burnt in the past.

Hope this is a helpful honest review of a car dealership that I believe is doing it right and seem to be improving every time I use them.

Thanks for the Mustang!

Not sure who hires but the employees are really dumb and are socially awkward. The worst customer service and they will rip you off if you try and sell a car to them. They will appraise it at unbelievable below market price. DONT GO HERE AND BUY A CAR WHATEVER YOU DO, YOU WILL GET SCREWED.

They have a credit department which will process your loan and if you don't find a car at Low Book, they will allow you to use their credit department to buy a car outside their dealership. What they don't mention is that they will charge you a $3,000 fee to do so. Why would anyone want to pay $3,000 just to use their credit department? Went for a test drive for a car I said didn't interest me, but he insisted I drive it. Went for a short drive and the sales guy actually had me stop at his bank to cash his check. I thought that it was strange. Cars were not priced accordingly, example; the only Subaru they had was a 1993 Legacy with almost 200K miles on it, they were asking $4,995(it was a junker with rust and bald tires). Next vehicle, was a 2006 Ford Escape, I couldn't get a price from him, he only wanted to know how much I wanted my payments to be. I said how about $50 a month for 48 months. He didn't like my humor, I will never recommend this dealership. Complete waste of 2 hours.

is int it funny how we hear about dealer ads and think no way but still end up going/ they would not buy your car for price is not profitable for them unless they sell you an expensive one as a part of the deal. it is not charity they have to make money and they do make it from us!!!! Anyways, I prefer to sell my car myself, not to go to these liars that always find excuses why not to buy

Cons: dealer in their most classic from: ignorant pushy liars

The salesperson put pressure on us to purchase the car immediately, we were sold a car with a broken radiator, and I got the runaround every time I tried to call Low Book Sales. I mentioned the radiator after I test-drove the car, and they promised to invest 1700 in repairs, including the radiator. They only put on new tires, a new muffler, and changed the oil. I brought it back because it still smelled like antifreeze and was told there was no problem. I took it to my mechanic and was told the radiator was leaking and needed to be replaced! They are unethical, incompetent, and I will NEVER go back! Do yourself a favor and go ANYwhere else!

I bought my tuck 9/08 and have been happy ever since.

Yes I did not qualify for loans outside, so they got me inhouse financing at 25%, but what is different is they let me do it on a car I wanted and for fair KBB. Most other places make you choose from a handful of less than good cars with inhouse financing at the same rate, and they are usually well inflated above KBB.

I did have to get GAP and I had been upsold on an extended coverage for care at 600.00. BUT YOU DO NEED GAP INSURANCE period. And it is dumb to say otherwise. Plus the extended care includes 2 years oil change, plus towing to LB and 10% off parts and labor. Yes they do not warranty the parts outside manufacturer warranty, but they will help you with labor. I had them quote me rates for repair lower than anywhere else even before they knew I had a discount coming! The extra care warranty is more than worth it if you use it. And to the idiot who said it shouldnt need one if they are good cars, NEWS FLASH cars break down! That stupid thought would only apply in the event the car was NEW.

Overall I am extremely satisfied. They did not push me into a car not wanted, and they did not sell me on anything unrealistic. They instead got me into a car I wanted, worth the KBB and rather than saying no.. said yes to financing me when no one else would.

There are places like Menlove that will finance low credit people, BUT will only get you crappy cars and inflate their value. What was diff is I got a car I wanted.. not inflated on the price of the car just because. They did charge high % but so do the others. PLUS they DO report to credit agencies to build my credit with inhouse financing!

Drove clear over from Wendover because I heard from their ads that they could finance me. Was tried to be pushed into a car I didn't want and at a really high payment and interest rate. I had a trade in which they gave me a low value on, and, when I decided I didn't want to do business with these guys it took me talking with 4 individuals before they could "find" my keys. After wasting almost the whole day I finally left and went down the road and bought a car from someone else who really wanted to help me in about 45 minutes.

A lot of people are saying how awful used car shopping is these days but I found the experience to be quite the opposite. With a wide variety of cars to choose from and prices at all time lows now is a great time to purchase a used car at a great deal.

I had heard of Low Book Sales before as I had driven by their Salt Lake City location several times and noticed a lot of nice cars on the lot. I was never really in the market for a new car until mine started breaking down on a consistent basis. Needless to say my tune had changed and I was unexpectedly in the market for a car.

I searched a lot of the major dealers for new autos but even with huge discounts they were still out of my budget range. I also did a lot of online browsing for used cars on Craigslist and Auto Trader but I?m wary of buying a car from a private party since you don?t really ever know what the car has been through or if it was properly taken care of.

I headed into the Low Book Sales lot on a Saturday afternoon and started walking around. I was trying to be incognito so I wouldn?t be hassled by any of the sales people but it didn?t take long for them to find me and I was pleasantly surprised when they did. I was expecting them to be a typical used car salesman trying to pressure me into buying something I didn?t want. Boy was I wrong.

The person who was helping me was the exact opposite of what I expected. They started out by just talking with me and asking me what I was looking for. I hesitantly explained that I didn?t have much money to spend and needed a small car that was good on gas mileage but I didn?t want one of those tiny, hybrid looking cars.

The sales person told me to follow them as they led me over to the section of the lot holding the smaller cars and proceeded to tell me how Low Book Sales was different from the other car dealers.

The first thing they showed me was the sticker price on the car. It was really low and I immediately started wondering how I was going to haggle down from this price. They explained that the price on the sticker was the bottom line price and no negotiation would be necessary. At first I felt like I was being trapped into something but the sales person assured me there were no strings attached.

They explained by offering haggle free pricing it puts their customers at ease and lets them shop better knowing they don?t have to go through the hassle of bargaining. They also informed me that Low Book Sales offers a warranty on all their vehicles, thorough inspections before they put it on the lot and an exchange policy in case you change your mind within a week.

I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at this lot and very glad I chose to go in that day. I ended up getting a great used car with really low mileage for around the same price I would?ve paid to a private party seller. It was a really unique experience that I would recommend to anyone in the market for a nice, used automobile.

I bought a car from them a few weeks ago and had a fine experience. Our salesman was extremely helpful and nice (if a little pushy, but what can you expect from someone paid solely on commission.) I dont have the best credit, but was able to get into a car with an average interest rate......
OBVIOUSLY some tips for when you visit any car dealership are~
-DONT go if you arent looking to buy. If you are "just looking" and undecided, they will make up your mind for you.
-DONT go if you know you cant afford to get a car. This is just a bad situation all around...if you have a set price or payment you know is all you can afford stick with it, dont let them push you into anything more expensive.
-DONT let them decide what car you are going to get and what features you will buy along with it. Read the contracts carefully. Follow up on EVERYTHING from paperwork, to funding, to payments. Most dealerships will try to screw you with features like gap insurance (which is completely unneccesary) to extended warranties and service contracts (which you shouldnt need in the first place if the car you buy is a decent car).
Lowbook sales is just like every other dealership....they will do anything to get a sale, and I'm sure they practice the same shady tricks every other dealer out there does. Its your own damn fault if you get taken advantage of, its your responsibility to manage your finances and be in control of your life. Dont let some pushy salesman take over.

low book sales offers great deals and are really friendly. i went there and within 1 hour i had a
new (2006) mazda 6. i was so happy. they said i would have no problem getting the car. three weeks later
the salesman calls and says i'm sorry but we can't find anyone to finance you so you have to bring the car
back. i had already thrown my old license plates away, i was 2 payments behind on my old car because
they said they would pay it off, i bought new car seat covers for $100. i also had paid $250 down. i'm out
all that money. i don't think this is a good way to run a business. they said the banks said it was the economy and they wanted a co-signer. they should get the financing first and then let you have your car. not
get attached to the car and then rip it away. i would not recommend low book sales to anyone!

Pros: Service and Effort

Cons: Crammed lot
