Ratings_icons Awesome Eatery

Gerald K.

I lived in Germany for 3 years. This place brings back some of the fond memories. We travel several miles a year just eat here or buy authentic foods for holiday parties. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Their english is great. If you speak German, by all means go ahead. I have talked at great lengths with other customers there and have yet to hear anything negative. One customer was even a German immigrant and knew the places I lived in Germany, it was great. I can't say enough. As was mentioned here, the only downside is the parking. BUT they do have paid parking attached to the building so walking isn't all that bad.

Go here for work lunch meetings all the time. Love the place, great food, great chill out little resaurant with a fantastic atmosphere. I love the macaroni salad, I have been craving it ever since. They have a cool little supermarket also, so after you are done with eating it is nice to browse around and check things out. Great place for a low key lunch meeting

PROS: Yummy, good location
CONS: not sure what some of the food is

Ratings_icons Some great brats und der weiners too!

M Gerard F. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,186

The brats here are the real deal. So are all the other wursts and German fare. German owned, this deli and specialty food shop is der vnderbob! Now in their new digs, Siegfrieds now has a more polished feel than it's old, modest store which has since been demolished. You can stay for lunch and have some terrific German dishes or go to the meat counter and order up to go. Again and again, I buy the brats so I can boil them in beer and throw them on the grill. Some of the best brats around, along with some tasty side dishes if you're feelign mighty German.

PROS: brats, plethora of specialty items
CONS: parking downtown at lunch on a weekday
