I chose to have our first baby at LDS Hospital because it was recommended to me by others. There are other hospitals closer to us, but I'm glad we chose LDS. They are very friendly and made our stay as comfortable as possible. I like how they make you feel special with your new baby even though they deliver tons of babies every day! On the other hand, I had the same problem that I couldn't get a nurse in the room for a long time when I called them for help. They said it was because so many babies were being born that morning, but they really took a long time. I had to sit in the room I delivered my baby in for over an hour while they tried to find a recovery room and then my baby's first bath was several hours later. That was frustrating! With that said, the nurses were extremely nice and helpful. We really loved them!

I stayed at LDS hospital overnight following surgery. I was not impressed with their ablity to handle pain management. The nursing staff was also unpredictable. Sometimes it would take multiple pushes of the button and 30 plus minutes to get a nurse in the room (a little scary in my opinion if a person was in cardiac arrest or something similar). The CNA could barely speak English and I had to repeat several times what was hurting before she finally got that my abdomen not arm was the problem.
I will say that the nurses were friendly and helpful and had my best interest at heart (when I could get them in the room).
