This is a wonderful shelter that takes in animals that have come from overcrowded high kill shelters as well as from the community. They wk hard to make sure the animals are placed in great forever homes. I read the review that complained re. the kennel cough. Kennel cough is incredibly common for any dog coming from a shelter. Your own dog can get it from a vet office or obedience class, dog park, etc. What can help prevent it? Yearly shots. In most cases if another dog is catching it, it is because the owner did not get the dog's yearly shots. Either way, this is a great place that does their best to save animals.

We adopted two dogs from the Humane Society( they were a package deal they came in together) well one has allergies and social issues the other I had to put down after spending 2000 in six months . They adopted out a sick dog with bladder stones and incontinence. Fun stuff your kids are attached so you try and do everything you can. I'll never go there again. They even charged me for the euthansia..

Ratings_icons I have been lied to

I bought a dog there, paid 75.00 for her, This is not bad but I had her home 4 days a she had Kennel cough. She spread it to my other dog, when I called the Humane society, first I talked to a girl that was rude and told me basically if I didn't like it to bring the dog back and I would not get my money back. I then called and talked to the supervisor "Susan" who gave me the song and dance about how the Vets where not in the office and 2 weeks later they are still "not in the office" In fact I called her Friday, and she said she would get with the vet and call me back. As to this day, I have accrued a 200.00 + vet bill and 2 sick dogs that the humane society caused by selling me a sick dog and they still have not called me. I would not recommend buying any animal there unless you have money for the vet bill

I took my kitten to the humane society to get shots and get spayed. They were really nice on the phone and especially in person. They were so good to my kitty and talked to her to calm her down. They are gentle and very caring. We will go back again and again. And we live in Lehi!!

PROS: Very caring staff
CONS: A little far away for us
