The extended service plan is a racket. My husband purchased an engagement ring from Jared and an extended service plan. When I took it in to be inspected at the Tyson's location, the woman could not find his service plan on their outdated computer system, got impatient with me when I insisted we had one (she acted like I was lying) and when I wouldn't go away, she offered to search their system a different way and then found it. No apology or anything. Then she couldn't find another warranty plan for another ring, and the fact that I said, again, that we had one, was not sufficient. Do not buy here, do not fall for the extended service plan. What is the point of buying the plan if they don't keep a record of it? Jared is running a scam.

My husband bought my engagement ring and my wedding ring (and plenty of other jewelry from Jareds over the years). He also purchased the Jared's warranty on my rings that says if I bring my rings in every 6 months they will do a diagnostic and clean it. If damage occurs to any of the rings then they will replace it. I've for the last 5 years (on vacation days and days off - driving from Downtown DC) brought my rings in for the required "checkups". They would check my rings, clean them and then tell me when next to bring it in. Recently, my engagement ring got caught in my sons car seat and the diamond in my ring came out. I haven't been able to find it. I brought the ring in and they after much to-do tell me they have no record of me ever bringing my rings in for the "checkups" so my warranty is not valid!!!! I reminded them that in the past they have replaced two of the smaller diamonds in my wedding band under the same warranty and how is it now they suddenly have no record. They told me those replacements were courtesy replacements!! They essentially told me that they have no record of any of my visits for the last five years and I was responsible for asking for proof of the "check-ups" every visit. So BEWARE --Jared's will gladly sell you a warranty and their people will pretend to make a note in their system or even "forget" to give you a printout unless you ask for it and suddenly your paid warranty is no longer VALID!! Don't buy anything from JAREDs they are unscrupulous and untrustworthy. They LIE. I think I would have been ok if they told me that hey you have been bringing your ring in but the damage is above what's covered by your warranty. Instead they chose to take the underhanded route.

Horrible! Worst service ever. They ruined our wedding band when we took it in to get serviced, then just told us to get another ring. Bought the Extended Service Warranty, since they said they could repair scratches and whatnot. Sounded good- until we found out they couldn't service the ring they sold us (which we only learned after they ruined it). Won't let us return it, even the they lied to us. Not cool. Quality not great if you're ordering jewelry, either. DON'T SHOP HERE. Never again. Jared tysons corners, va.

if I could give this place 0 stars, I would rather be doing that. I went to Jared in Tysons Corner VA- the people actually at the store are nice enough, but apparently their "district bosses" are the ones who do not care at all about their customers. I was given a ring at Christmas that my husband was not all that happy with, but was the best of what he saw there- he offered that I could take it back to Jared and look around and exchange it if I wanted. He was told we had 6 months to exchange it, but their policy changes as frequently as the weather. We went to the store within the 6 month time frame, in May. We were told that it would be "no problem" to exchange the ring for a new piece, and I picked out a new ring. unfortunately they had to order it in white gold, but we were told it would be (again) "no problem" to do that even though the ring would not arrive into the store until July.... which, if you do the math (which we did) is past the 6 month exchange deadline. We begged to do the exchange that day and leave the old ring as a downpayment, but we were denied. We also asked for something in writing, since from previous experience we knew there would be some hassle involved, but were denied anything in writing. Sound sketchy yet? We *knew* that with the way this store works, there would be issues with making the exchange in July and we were 100% right. Even though we were told repeatedly that there would be NO PROBLEMS. We talked to the managers, who apparently talked to all of their bosses and need a code to override the 6 month time period to process the exchange. Not one person would give them this code to override and help us out with the exchange- Even though the ring ORDER DATE was within the 6 month time frame!! If we had any indication that this would have been an issue (which we should have known better since we already knew Jared's customer service sucks), we would have picked out something already in the store that day, not placed the order which we were told would be fine. So now the store has "done all that they can do" and my husband and I have been given a big F- YOU from the company. Thanks Jared. I hope by writing to the BBB, I can give you a nice big F- You right back.

I helped my best friend's boyfriend purchase her engagement ring from Jared's. The customer service was excellent. They took the time to explain what we should be looking for in a good diamond. They also said they would ensure that the ring was set in an antique setting that my friend's boyfriend had from his grandmother within a day. The employee we worked with did not make us feel rushed in anyway and patiently allowed us to look at different diamonds. They also do an excellent job of cleaning rings while you wait for them. Their prices are probably average for the area, however their quality is excellent.

I came here to get some help on a gift, and I was greeted with smiles and helpful attitudes. The people working here try everything to make sure that they can help you find exactly what you are interested in. They have all forms of jewelry, ranging from your typical diamonds to watches and pens.

They weren't too pushy, and they seemed to really care about helping their customers. Parking has not been a problem when I've been there, as they have a lot adjacent to their store.
