El Pollo Rico

This has been a local best kept secret for years. Everyone from miles around will go out of there way to stop and eat chiken here! Every person I have brought here to eat ends up coming back over and over again. Where else can you eat for just over $5.00 complete with drink???

The chicken spices that are used to cook the chicken is out of this world.... If you are anywhere near Kenmoore St and Fairfax blvd in Arlington, VA just off the orange line Virginia Square metro stop you have to try El Pollo Rico!!

About 3 years ago i read a review about Pollo Rico and decided to check out the restaurant with a friend who isn't much of a meat eater. We ended up buying a whole chicken by the end and neither could remember having as good of chicken anywhere. To say the menu is limited is an understatement, the only choices you really have (except for the dessert menu) is the size of rotisserie chicken (which is roasted on several large ovens in sight) and whether or not you want coleslaw and steak fries. The fries are stellar, the chicken superb and a quarter chicken goes for 3.85---fast turning into a neighborhood institution although it has only been there for a few years.

PROS: chicken, steak fries, varied crowd,
CONS: coleslaw
