I am a difficult customer with whom to deal when it comes to the purchase of a new car. I've been buying new cars for 40 years, and recently purchased a 2013 Hyundai Elantra Limited from Alexandria Hyundai (sales person: Mike Halpern).

This was the best car buying experience of my life. Mr. Halpern made everything easy (and nothing is easy with me). We had 90% of the deal done by phone before I first stepped foot in the showroom. He was informative, courteous, and as professional as I have ever seen in a car dealership. My dealings recently with other northern Virginia Hyundai dealers were clearly awful. Mr. Halpern and the staff at Alexandria Hyundai were A++++++

I will send (and have sent) everyone I know to this dealership. This has confirmed my switch from Honda to Hyundai.

The Best price EVER! Ken Hong was my sales person and he was simply fantastic. There was 0 pressure, and he was so nice. Probably the kindest dealer I have ever met! I was looking for an elantra at the dealership near my hometown but they were sold out so we decided to try Alexandria Hyundai. It was probably the best choice that I have made! Mr. Hong sold me a 2012 Hyundai Elantra and so far shes running great and I'm well pleased with the car. This was my first Hyundai but I wouldn't think twice about getting another one! Especially from Alexandria Hyundai! If you are looking for a Hyundai, go to Alexandria Hyundai and ask for Ken Hong. You will not be disappointed!

Bought my car there 2 years ago and still regret having to work with Eric Cho. He was not knowledgeable or friendly. He was belittling and difficult to work with. His lack of understanding regarding the cars was surprising and his unwillingness to help was shocking. I ended up with a good price and a car I am happy with, but it was at the cost of a terrible, dreadful, buying experience.

I went to Alexandria Hyundai to purchase a new vehicle. The sales staff was great and my buying experience was good; however, while there, I was offered a cup of coffee by a goofy guy with blond hair, I think he is one of the owners. When I saw where he got the coffee from, I was appalled! The condition of the coffee maker and the area where it sat was FILTHY! The thought of drinking anything from that machine makes me gag! Then, I saw the water machine and again, could not believe the condition of the area! FILTHY! What bacteria is growing on that thing and worse, what would I have been exposed to if I had drunk the water?! Clearly I would have been contaminated by some crazy virus or bacteria or amoeba! So then...I made the error of having to use the restroom! MY GOD! Is this place for real!? The bathroom is as FILTHY as the coffee machine AND the water machine!!! I almost threw up at the stains around the floor and on the toilet bowl! It is totally disgusting! Look! Alexandria Hyundai, you've got a good thing going with your sales people and your cars! You might want to consider (literally) cleaning up your act, starting with the coffee machine then the water machine then the bathroom!!!! You might be surprised at how this will positively affect your dealership! Maybe you won't lose business!

One of the reviewers wrote that anyone could be writing a review, e.g a rival dealership; salesman trying to raise his standing, et al. I agree with that statement. However, I usually throw-out the highest and the lowest ratings and go from there.
I had a superlative experience at this dealership. I bought a 2011 Sonata Limited on October 27, 2010. Jeff, the sales consultant, was excellent. Knowledgeable, friendly, helpful. He's even coming in on his day off next week to help set-up my Butler Auto Detail appointment. Jeff, the Finance Manager, was also a revalation. No hard sell on the After-Market products, just a thorough and professional discussion on the pro's and cons of the ones I eventually bought (Gap Insurance and Butler Auto Detail).
As for the car, it speaks for itself. I have to admit, tho', that I'm a "homer." This is the 5th Hyundai I've bought from this dealership. In fact, even though I moved to Bethesda, I still came down to Alexandria Hyundai to purchase my car. That in itself should tell you something.

I absolutely loved working with Eric! It was the easiest car buying experience I've ever had. There was no pressure and no haggling. He gave us the best price that he could and I am able to leave with a car that I love! He never once pressured us to go a bit higher in our payments like other dealers had tried to do and he never tried to sell us something that I didn't need. I would definitely buy a car from him again.

My wife and I had an excellent experience buying a 2009 Sante Fe Limited AWD from Alexandria Hyundai on 9/5/09. Sales Consultant Ryan Gamble was terrific to deal with, no pressure, easy going, personable...we really enjoyed working with him to get what we wanted at the price we wanted. He went out of his way to make sure we were totally satisfied before we drove the Sante Fe off of the lot and made it clear he was there for us if we had any questions or needed any assistance in the future. We also enjoyed wrapping up the deal with Finance Manager Peter Choi. He was also very personable and wanted to be certain that we were satisfied when all was said and done, even though we used our own financing to make the purchase! In total, it was a great buying experience, the best I have had buying a new car during the past 23 years. Oh, and the Sante Fe, it is fantastic! Fit and finish couldn't be better, the Limited version leaves you wanting nothing more from the vehicle, the value is probably without compare for this type of vehicle. We have enjoyed driving and listening to the awesome stereo this weekend, and can't wait to use it for outdoor adventures this Fall and way beyond!

I just purchased Genesis Coupe from Alexandria Hyundai. I was shopping with five different dealers around my area. Sales manager, Andy offered fantastic price and Joon Bae, sales person was very knowledgeable with product. I'm really happy with my new vehicle and had great experience with them.

The problem with online review is that anyone can write them - you can create multiple accounts without any real verification. I had a hunch something wasn't right and so I went over to Edmunds.com and found much less glowing reviews.

Anyway, I stopped by Alexandria Hyundai and had an awful experience. Be very wary of this dealership. Their website provides eprices for each car and so I decided to go in and take one for a test drive. When I arrived to take a test drive, the sales person informed me that prices were only good if I qualified for all of their rebates. Rebates included recent college graduate and active military. When I told the sales agent that it seemed a little sketchy that they didn't spell this out online, he acted offended and would hardly look at us. I asked the sales agent to convince me about the cars safety rating about the cars safety rating, he made some snotty comment about, "here we go again." This was the least helpful dealership I have ever experienced. I could get almost no information from the sales agent.

I would go elsewhere.

After shopping around at car lots all over Fairfax County, I was surprised and delighted by the staff at Alexandria Hyundai. I was not pressured into purchasing the second I arrived nor was I treated to the "hard sell" approach - as is the practice at many local dealerships. The salespeople were friendly and knowledgeable without being pushy.

After careful consideration, I decided on a Sonata and I have yet to be disappointed. This is, by far, the best car I've ever owned and at a price that was reasonable and well below comparable models by competing automakers.

I heartily recommend you visit Alexandria Hyundai when looking for your next vehicle.

I had the pleasure of purchasing a 2009 Hyundai Azera from Alexandria Hyundai in August 2008. Ryan Gamble was my salesperson and he made the process as obstacle free as any car I had ever purchased. No high pressure sales tactics, at all! I traded in a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix, for which I was given top dollar. I also received a number of fantastic rebates and incentives that made this Azera purchase a positive steal of a deal. I would highly recommend this dealership to any and all.

In todays world it is becoming a requirement to have a car with all of the following qualities: reliability, high fuel economy, power, and room to still be able to do the soccer practices or haul half the office to a business meeting in order to cut costs. It is very rare that you can find a car to do all of this, and it is even more of a rarity to find one at a price one can afford in todays more expensive (and getting worse every day) world. Well, I found it and to top it off it was the most positive experience I have ever had in buying a car. Mike, Kevin and the rest of the Alexandria Hyundai crew put a sincere caring arm around me and guided me to my car (HYUNDAI ELANTRA) for the next many years. Mike could quote facts and figures like no one elses business; however, it was his attitude of I am only putting you in the car that is right for you attitude that won me over. Lets just say that it was the first time that I bought a car and did not say "Did, the dealer just put one over on me?" I walked out of their dealership with a smile, money still in the bank account and a car that will save me money everyday as I watch us clear $4 a gallon. The Hyundai Elantra is the most bang for your buck car on the market and the place to buy it is right there in Alexandria, VA. I drove from Philadelphia to go there. You should too! Thank you Alexandria Hyundai.
