I have been boarding at Mountain Run Kennel for many years. It is so nice to see the same caring staff over the time we have been with them. The facility is immaculant! The plays and swimming that were available for my "very Active" lab is so important to me when I am away for long periods of time. Knowing that she is being cared for by this kennel allows me to have piece of mind whenever I leave her! I reccomend this place to anyone who wants top quality care and reasonable rates.

Staff went out of their way to accomodate us . Put coats on our 3 greyhounds for turnouts, walked and excercised them several times per day, stayed in room with them during feeding to ensure that the most submissive dog got to eat without

Their rates are expensive and they charge you extra on Sunday because THEY open late. And they do not disclose that they charge you extra. Their website doesn't even say it

Unprofessional management. We did not like this place and will never go back again. The management is unprofessional and their rates are a lot higher than everyone else in town.

We had a lot of issues with this place and will not return. They overcharge for their services. They also charge you for giving the dog a bath that you do not ask for.

They cost twice as much as the rest of the kennels in the area and they do not disclose all of what they charge.

Not only do my dogs love to go there but I want to stay there also! The care of the animals is meticulous, very affectionate and professional. The countryside is absolutely beautiful with rolling meadows and lakes on the property; the suites are like miniature hotel rooms with views of the property from within the suite and the connected outside runs; the rooms have a bed,a couch, a dog bed, and tvs; soothing music plays in an airy, tasteful hallway that connects the rooms; and the kitchen is large and open, and kept like a restaurant. The website just doesn't begin to do this place justice. The dogs always come home relaxed and looking great. If you need to, they can pick up and deliver your dog, but you really should see it yourself: you'll never go anywhere else. I have even done several unexpected drop ins--- everyone is relaxed, the medications are taken, on schedule (you can see each pet's chart on the door to their suite or kennel, depending on where you have them stay), and sometimes the pets are out for a walk, a swim in the lake, or are otherwise at play.

There are many repeat customers, so it's pretty clear that the animals and the people who run the kennel (not much staff turnover since I've been there many years ago) seem to know each other well! The owner, whom I met many times, was a professional dog trainer for field trials, is a horseman, and has spent her life dedicated to raising and caring for animals. Once you meet her, you can see why this place has the character and professionalism that it does.

I am an animal person, obviously, and this is the only place my dogs will ever go. Same with a cat if I ever get one! This place is the real deal and I really can't say enough about it. There's a tremendous trust component to leaving your pet with someone: there is no question that Mountain Run Kennel has earned my total trust and loyalty.

A first-class operation, and far cheaper than a lot of the urban "dog storage" operations -- especially considering the care & personal treatment of your dog. Well worth the drive (we're 33 miles away) knowing our pooches are absolutely safe and well-treated.

You can spend a lot on the spa facilities and "extras" there, if you want to, but that's strictily an option. Basic boarding is only 25 bucks, but we usually get a few extra play sessions. Our dogs love it and go nuts with excitement when we pull into the farm (it's very rural and beautiful there). It removes the guilty feeling we used to get sticking them in an urban "cage," basically, and we can enjoy our trip without worry. It's a beautiful, very clean place.
