Teacher's Mart was once a wonderful store for teachers, parents, and homeschoolers. It has however changed since its renovation. What once was a smaller store full of supplies from paint, to unit study books, is now a store that does not even have some of the basic essentials for a classroom. The store will order anything you would like however you do have to wait for it. I was incredibly disappointed to find most of their early child manipulatives, arts and crafts, and teacher resources sections practically gone! Although the old store was hard to navigate due to the small isles, I enjoyed finding everything I needed at one stop. I will not return, I am on the look for a teachers store with better inventory.

As a teacher, Ive always been on the look-out for items that are difficult to find in your typical store. For example, where can you buy giant magnetic letters in print and cursive? Poster paper that is lined? Or made from a graph? Now that I teach at the college level, I have even more unusual requests. Rainbow colored dry-erase pens (by the dozen please), colorful but not juvenile boarders for a bulletin board, and expandable portable files. I dropped by the Teachers Mart in Burke expecting to find a limited supply of items I might be able to adapt to use in my classroom, but was greeted instead by a friendly woman with the knowledge and expertise to get me exactly what I needed without hassle. Though I inquired about an item they did not have in the store, the woman directed me to their website, which contained an even greater selection than their already vast store. I decided to order the item on-line and was kept up-to date on the status of my order. Though I normally shy from writing reviews on websites such as this, I am an avid reader of reviews, and could not resist the opportunity to let other teachers in the Fairfax County area know about them gem that exists in Teachers Mart. Call it a fondness for the days of specialty stores, but I would highly recommend that if you are a teacher or a parent interested in creating a positive learning environment for any age of student, that you visit this store.

This store was just amazing. The service was wonderful and the people were very helpful and sweet. They helped me look for everything I needed and even recommended a few other places that had some of the items I needed. Great Job Teacher's Mart! I will definitely be coming back soon.

I have two very demanding brats =)- One is 3 and one is 6. For years now I have been shopping here and there trying to find things for them to keep them happy. YES- I am the type of parent who loves to spoil my kids! BUT, truth is, after going from store to store to store, I had almost given up on the finding a one stop location. UNTIL, Teachers Mart! They really do have it all. A huge selection, an awesome catalog, and a great online source for all my purchases. Teachers mart has made my life so much easier. I have never had any problems with any orders I have placed and the staff is absolutely enjoyable! It's great to finally have a place to shop for my kids where I know I will be taken care of! I will recommend Teachers mart for ANY who has kids!

I shop here alot and it's a great little store for teachers and parents! They have a catalog that you can order from in addition to their store so they pretty much have anything I need without having to go to a chain store with nonchalant staff.

This store is one of the worse that I have done business with. I ordered some art caddies for my daughters kindergarten class and it has been 3 weeks since this store has charged my credit card and still no art caddies. When my daughter and I called and asked to speak to the manager we were never able to reach her, she was never there. Then someone called my daughter back after we said we were going to go to the Better Business Bureau and told her there was a problem with shipping and she would have them with in a week, needless to say the week is up and no caddies. I suggest if you are a teacher and live near this store go to Lakeshore in Springfield, it is a bigger and better store.

Teachers Mart is a very big store with a very wide variety of teaching and schooling supplies for children and teachers. I shopped here with my best friend who is a substitute teacher and she loved the wide selection they offered here for teachers. Recommended to teachers because of their wide variety of supplies and their great customer service.
