Capital Area Pediatrics Watson Salsbury Pediatrics

We've been going to this practice since we moved to Falls Church four years ago and I've been very happy with it. The doctors listen to me and are good with the kids (I have three). I've never had a problem getting an appointment that day if one of my children were sick. My wait times have almost always been reasonable, and I usually feel like I'm in and out of the office quickly. The front desk staff is business-like, but friendly with the kids. The nurses are great. I would highly recommend this practice.

Watson-Salsbury took excellent care of my three daughters, starting in 1985. In recent times, the practice has cared for my grandson, now 9. Dr Watson was a nice man, but not a great doctor; Salsbury was wonderful - highly intelligent, respectful of the intelligence of others, genuinely interested in individual children, and always prepared to mix common sense with medical knowledge. The jury is still out on the new physicians, but so far they seem pretty solid. Unlike some reviewers, we have not had lengthy waits. Salsbury was one of the finest pediatricians in the D.C. area, so the new doctors have a pretty daunting task to come up to his standard. Because of him, this practice had an outstanding reputation in the area, so it's still running, in part, on that reputation. The new doctors deserve a chance to show they can reach that standard.

FIrst rate. Four kids in their care for the last four years. With a couple of exceptions that I know happen anywhere when doctors have to take emergency patients first, our name has been called within minutes of our appointed time.

Nurses are attentive and thorough, and the doctors all have excellent manner, and have helped us numerous times through illnesses, diagnoses, and forms for schools. We're very happy with our service there.

We are very satisfied with this practice. Our daughter is 14 months old and has been seen by the staff since the day she was born. Whenever we call we get an appointment that same day and have had no problem getting evening appointments when we need them. If we need to call after hours or on a holiday the doctors have always gotten back to us within 10 minutes. And we almost never wait more than 15 minutes either in the waiting room or in the exam room (maybe because we usually have evening appointments?). We have never had an issue with diagnosis or lab results or excess tests being ordered. We find the doctors to be well informed and caring and the staff is very nice too. This practice was recommended to me by several friends and I in turn have recommended it to others.

We've been going here since my son was born, almost 2 1/2 yrs ago. We've seen Dr. Pierce, Dr. Lee, Dr. Waxman and Dr. Oh-Tan. The doctors, nurses, and receptionists have always been nice and kind to us and my son. My only complaint is the LONG wait in the waiting room and in the room waiting for the doctor. I waited an hour past the scheduled time for the doctor to finally see us. For a 2 yr old, that is a very long time to make them wait. They need to try to fix that problem. Other than that, we have been pleased.

I have had nothing but trouble from this practice! They only want you to come in over and over. Barbara the supposed nurse is an idiot and rude. The wait to see the doctors is usually 30 min to 2 hr depending on which doctor you see, and don't even ask for a referral! You might as well ask for a unicorn, you just aren't going to get it!! They have misdiagnosed my child on more than one occasion and lab work is usually messed up because somebody messed it up. They do not hire educated people to assist the doctors. DON'T risk your child's health!!

We have had nothing but a positive experience - Dr. Waxman, Dr. Oh-Tan, and Dr. Pierce, as well as gentle kind nurses. Never a long wait, responsive scheduling, and a lovely facility.

Prior to moving to the DC area over a year ago, we did extensive research on locating a pediatrician for our then 18 month old daughter. We chose Watson Salsbury after we'd read the bios on each of the doctors (IMPRESSIVE!) It also didn't hurt that their office was located less than a mile from where we lived. Our first visit was with Dr. Waxman who was extremely knowlegable, patient, and spent a great deal of time getting to know us and our daughter.

We're now well into our second year as patients, and we can't think of anywhere else we'd send our little girl!!

We've been delighted with the folks at Watson Salsbury, especially Dr. Oh-Tan. All the doctors are warm, have kids themselves (which shows), and will see us immediately when necessary -- which unfortunately has been necessary relatively frequently!!

We moved to the larea last year and began seeing Dr. Pearce at Watson Salisbury as soon as we arrived. She is wonderful with my 4 children, we recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and responsive pediatrician. The ladies at the desk are always very cheerful and helpful also.

We have been using this practice for 10 years now and have been more than satisfied. I would definitely recommend them.True, the wait times are longer now than in the past but that may be more a factor of the time of day now that we use the late afternoon hours more often. In general, I think the staff is very helpful and accommodating for both well visits and sick visits. We have used most of the the doctors and found them to be attentive and caring although they do seem to rush through the visit more times than not (hence the four stars rather than 5). This was not the case when we were seen by Dr. Salsbury. I like the fact that they are in the neighborhood and also have Saturday hours.

We have been going to this practice for 5 years and used to love the doctors and the way the office was run. But ever since Dr. Watson and then Dr. Salsbury retired, things went downhill. The last 4 appointments we had to wait for more than an hour to see a doctor during the scheduled appointment. We tried 3 different doctors at the practice and neither of them spent more than 3-4 minutes with our infant, one did not remember his name or age, and neither of them looked like they cared. The doctors always look rushed and the women at the front desk are mean. We are looking for another practice.

The doctors, nurse practitioners in this practive on Park Avenue in Falls Church are fantastic. We have used them for years. The front office staff is very kind and helpful on the phone. We have had nothing but good experiences with almost all the providers in the office. They can fit you into their Saturday schedule in their Herndon office, if you have a weekend urgent need.

I have been using this practice for over 10 years, since my son's birth. We have mainly used the Fallschurc office, but have been to the Herndon office, on occasion for Saturday emergencies. I can see we have see almost every doctor and nurse practitioner in the practice, in Falls Church, and have liked them all. We really don't have a preference about whom we see. The reception staff is very stable, awesome and kind. The folks have always been able to fit us into their schedule if we had an urgent matter. My son, who is older enough to know, now, also likes them. They all make him feel comfortable about his trips to the doctors' office.
