Basikneads Catering

The caterer failed to provide for numerous items in my contract, then blamed me for including specific items that he was unable to provide. They also changed one of the menu items entirely, failed to provide my guests with water (at an outdoor wedding), failed to provide such things as butter with the bread, etc. In addition, what bothered us the most was that afterwards, instead of apologizing to us and offering a small refund, the owner sent numerous emails detailing why he did what he did, including blaming me for wanting to include specific items in the contract (so why write the contract including that!?!?). Also, several items tasted VERY different at the tasting than at the actual reception. If they had treated me with anything but disdain afterwards, I would not be as frustrated and upset, but I am.

I highly recommend these caterers. I was first given a quote of around $60/per person, but you can upgrade certain things. Their proposals are all inclusive and the staff really works with you to meet your needs and give you what you want. The food is fantastic and everything was well organized.

I went to a wedding this past weekend and tasted the food. When I was so impressed, I had to find out the caterer. Sure enough, Rich from Basikneads put the feast together. The salad was amazing, pears, cheese and really quality lettuce. The cheese platter was out of this world. The beef tenderloin melted in my mouth. All the guests were raving! I am not sure about price with this caterer but my impression as a guest was excellent.

One more thing to note was that throughout the evening, I saw them straightening napkins for guests that got up to dance or use the restroom. This was totally optional but kept this caterer a step ahead.

PROS: Great salads, professional staff
CONS: Bread seemed pretty average
