In ShortEstablished in 1982, this chain gained a following for its laid-back atmosphere and generous portions. Patrons settle into comfortable booths and tables in dining rooms with plants, artwork and décor reminiscient of the villas in the Tuscan countryside. Starters include scampi, sausage or pepperoni pizza, and several soup choices, as well as a signature seafood dip (crab, shrimp, cheese and marinara). Entrees include classics like lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo and chicken parmigiana. There are also "Garden Fare" options, which promise 30 percent fewer calories.

Olive Garden is in my (Italiano Expertise) Is basically the Mc'Donald's of the Italian food industry.
The Service is Okay...but there are NO Italians that even work there. The Food is canned at best and they are too busy nitpicking to give you good service.
My Husband and I went there and we each ordered an entree. I got the all you can eat soup and he got the all you can eat salad. Well, he shared a little of his salad with me and the manager came over and threatened to charge us for another salad and also to kick us out if he saw us sharing food again...HUH???? If we pay for the food we should be able to do what we want with it. Needless to say we will not go back

This is a typical Italian franchise. Nothing great about the food. It reminds me of Mcdonalds of Italian food. I would much rathe rtake my chances with a family owned restaurant.

We have been the area for some time now and each time we go out to eat we have about a 65% chance of going to Olive Garden in Fairfax. This is because we know what to expect when we go. The service is good, the wait is short (even on the weekend), and food of course is always wonderful. The only complaint would be that the parking area is kind of cramped, little hard to navigate to leave.
PROS: Good italian food

I like this place a lot-- the food is good, the servers are friendly but sometimes a little too robotic than warm and inviting. If you ask them something they seem to pull a blank like they are caught off guard. They should be a little more personable and a little more approachable. The food-- I don't know, it is good, but it really does not stand out. It's like a lot of the dishes taste the same unless you eat certain things that stand out inside the dishes, like the sausages or peppers. The neverending pasta bowl and the soups are excellent, however. The breadsticks could use a little more flavor as well.

They have pretty descent service that doesnt make you wait really long. Their food is good if you are into itilian nad pasta type. Besides that they had a nice italy setting there, makes you feel like you are in a nother country. I think they are pretty decent verall, and i would go again on many or any occasion.

The Olive Garden has good service and ok food.The resdtaurant itself is beautifully decorated. The entrees were served when they were warm but I really did not care for the food too much. Haven't decided why yet though. The servers were wonderful and friendly.not as warm as they should have been.
