Had my 20-year reunion here. It was okay...nothing incredibly glamorous, but a nice enough venue. Restrooms were clean, and the food was adequate.
3I had my wedding and reception at the Las Gaviotas Grand Affairs. The staff was wonderful to me and my guests on my special night. The gazebo was beautiful. I would definately recommend Grand Affairs Chesapeake to anyone looking to have a wonderful night.
PROS: Wonderful staff!
CONS: Maximum capacity was 150.

This past weekend I attended a lovely wedding at the Los Gaviotas country club. After the outdoor ceremony, we came into the reception area where the staff was already ready to pass around appetizers. There was very large shrimp as well as wonderful puffs of pastry filled with savory bites of goodness. Also, there was an amazing artichoke and spinach dip. The food was ample. The bartender was very attentive and I was suprised that he did not have a "tip" jar as you usually see at these events. We were able to mingle and then we invited to our seats whereupon the dinner was served almost immediately. The salad served was out of this world! The servers were awesome about clearing plates without making one feel rushed and the main course was served in a timely manner. The staff was attentive to the dietary needs of the guests and made sure everyone had what they needed. They were thoughtful without being intrusive to the intimate affair. The food was really, really good, and served at a nice, hot temperature (something that often does not happen at a catered affair). The beef was tender and the portions more than ample. There was an incredible fondue bar set up as part of the dessert as well-great touch and definitely a hit! I do not know what the bride and groom paid for this dinner, but it was incredible and their guests had very happy bellys! I would definitely consider Grand Affairs for my next catered dinner.
PROS: great food, awesome service
CONS: a little warm in the building

I attended a formal graduation party at this location which was nice. It affords a nice area for pictures outside with a painted mural backdrop. Parking was ample with nice landscaped grounds. The buffet styled dinner was enjoyable.
