Mike's Italian Restaurant

My husband and I are both chefs and this is where we go. The service is quite good. The atmosphere needs some help, but it is very endearing. There are two rooms and one of them has this brown leather bench that wraps around the wall.. it reminds me of like 70s mafia. The food: I really enjoy being served a plate of food and not having to wonder what the chef did to make it like that... you know? It's like you look at it and it is obvious what the cooking method is. Classical style cooking. You can't go wrong with that. The salad dressing is amazing! Love it. We try to get the specials as they're very good and the veal valdostana is out of this world amazing. I've never gotten the spaghetti. I've always opted for the vegetables and have never been disappointed. It is a very nice place for a date. Double linens on the tables, fresh flowers and a candle.
