Norfolk Botanical Garden

They did a group tour for our moms club and made it very special and entertaining for both moms and kids (mainly toddler age). They have great birthday parties, my daughter had the treasure hunt theme and it was one of her best parties yet. For the price, you sure do get a lot. We saw a baby bat and even a woodpecker. I can't decide which season I like best to visit but I really love the lights at christmas time. There is something for everyone.

The gardens are really beautiful and often offer a lot of different activities depending on the season. The holiday lights (you drive through) in winter are really wonderful, and throughout the year they have different "fun runs" through the gardens. In spring, be careful visiting on Saturdays because the local crew teams often have regattas on the lake and there can be lines to get in - but they don't usually go around the gardens so it's usually not a problem. Plenty of nice places to hold different events too if you are interested.

If you want to spend a lazy day enjoying a beautiful scenery, you should go to Norfolk Botanical Gardens. You can be adventurous and sign up for the classes which they offer... it's a great way to spend time with the family and receive a souvenir in doing so. The classes are pretty pricey though. If you plan on incorporating the classes in to your regular schedule, it might be wise to sign up for a meembership. That way, you can receive a discount.
On the other hand, if you're there to visit the flowers, trees, and the wildlife, there are many different array of gardens to satisfy everyone's taste. I love the Fragrance Garden; just a reminder, do take your allergy pills if you have allergies before coming here. The landscape and hardscape is beautiful... if you're a homeowner, you can get lots of ideas here before you start/change your own garden.

The gardens are absolutely beautiful. Nice to go their and have a picnic lunch. In the winter they have christmas lights throught the park. You can drive your car through the park. That is the best Christmas light show in the area! A wonderful family place!

The botanical gardens are a great place to go on a warm, sunny day - the entire park is well landscaped and maintained. The holiday lights display they put on every winter is also great fun, and is fun entertainment for the entire family. The hot chocolate and cookies that they sell during the holiday show are decent but slightly overpriced - however, since you stay in your car throughout the duration, feel free to bring your own stuff to keep the price down. Recommended!

A variety of outdoor (and indoor) event sites are available for rental. They are all absolutely beautiful and the staff is accustomed to hosting weddings. You'd better have a lot of change in your pocket though... this place certainly isn't cheap!

Great place to visit on a warm summer or spring day. The botanical gardens have a wide range of flowers for your viewing pleasure. This garden is also ideal for weddings and outdoor events.
