Big Al's Mufflers & Brakes

Honest and trustowrthy! Has a neighborhood atmosphere. If they can't fix it they will let you know - if they can, they won't charge you an arm and a leg. Nice to go to a place that you can trust where car repairs are concerned!!

This shop is AWESOME!!!! I needed a muffler installed quickly on my jeep, they banged it out in less than 20 min. Very professional and friendly environment. Fair prices,Highly recommend Big Al's

Big Al's on VA Beach Blvd is "AWESOME". I had a muffler problem and questioned cost and part...didn't make me feel stupid and explained and showed me the part and what happens to it over time and why it needed to be replaced. My car was repaired in remarkable time. Very courteous and helpful! More importantly, I feel they are trustworthy. Thank You!

My check engine light came on and I was told by other shops that it was my catalytic converter and it would cost 800-1,000 to change it. I thought that was pretty steep so I went with a friends recommendation to check with Big Als because they do a good job and charge a fair price. I called 2 different Big Als locations and they quoted me over the phone a price of $300 including labor - I was impressed with the good price. I went to Big Als the next day to drop my car off.... An hour later I received a call from Big Al saying they ran a diagnostic test which showed the issue was actually a misfire in the 4th cylinder. Big Al noticed a big gap with my spark plug as the culprit - they not only resolved the issue but it was FREE of CHARGE! Because of Big Al's honesty - they have not only earned a customer for life but I will make sure to refer all my friends and co-workers for their car issues. Big Al's - honest work for a fair price!

These guys at Big Al's are honest and reliable. They tell you exactly what you need, even if they can't fix it! They are quick and efficient and I would definetly go back. No real waiting area, just a few chairs and magazines.
