Human scale shop with attentive (but not hovering) and helpful people. When I have requested a specific title not in stock, they have gotten it for me within a week at a good price.. Nice place to linger and browse among nicely displayed new books and separate section of used titles. Always a completely pleasant, no-hassle experience

I do not know what the appeal is of these little bookstores. I guess they have interesting quirky titles that you won't normally see at big chains. However, you can always have the chain order a title...unless of course it is out of print. This store is very small. It does house several titles you won't normally see in a chain store, however, the selection is very small. The upside is the employees are friendly and seem to like their jobs. I wouldn't go to this place to look for a specific book, but I have gone to meander around and look at a small selection that I don't see in the big chains.

Quirky fun bookstore on Cary Street -- great selection of interesting and some hard to find books. In Richmond you won't find many book shops besides Barnes & Noble, and this is one of those gems. They have fairly competetive prices and the staff is friendly. I would recommend this bookstore to anyone looking for a fun new bookstore to meander through.

PROS: Hard to find books, competetive pricing
CONS: Not much parking
